This is so sad and I’m not shocked. When have Ikwerre ever loved or cared about the well being of Oyigbo people. Wike will surely get his. Karma will deal with him accordingly and it’ll start with his own children. The sins of the father

Don't know where you guys get your info' from! Ndoni was never in any Delta State.....it was previously part of Ahoada local gov't before ONELGA was created, and Ahoada was part of Rivers State from the very first time the state was carved out of East Central State in 1967.

Ndoni are part of the larger Ogbaru Igbo sub-group.

I don’t need to even argue with you especially considering the people in question already spoke on it.

From Ndoni’s themselves
In October 1, 1960, Nigeria had its independence from British colonial rule and Ndoni came under the rule of Western region--one of the two regions carved out of the Southern protectorates. Mid-west region was created in 1963, which included Ndokwa Land and other Non-Yoruba speaking parts of western region. Ndoni was a part of Aboh Division.
In May 1967, Rivers State was carved out from the old Eastern region 1967 as part of a new 12 State Federal Structure.
During the boundary adjustment of 1976 and local government reform, using the River Niger as a natural boundary, Ndoni, located on the eastern bank of River Niger was carved into ONELGA in Rivers State.
http://www.ndoniusa.org/history-of-ndoni.html

Ndokwa’s own narrative
By 1963, Mid-west region was created to include Ndokwa Land and other Non-Yoruba speaking parts of western region. Ndokwa people remained as part of Mid-West region until Ndoni people were carved out from Aboh Division to join parts of the old Eastern region to form Rivers State in May 1967 as part of a new 12 State Federal Structure.

Those chiefs who said there were no extra-judicial killings in Obigbo will never know peace.
I live in Obigbo, and through out the onslaught, I was in Obigbo.
Those staying along Timber road and old Aba road, along Obigbo-west can attest to this.
The killing was so damn much.
Of a truth, Justice Raphael was gunned down by these trigger happy soldiers. And a whole lot of other Innocent citizens.
Ok, what about the girl that was killed along Ehi Road?
These are the ones i know directly...
Since, they are in support of the killings, death will never depart from their household...

Those chiefs are likely Ikwerres. Do you expect them to care? Shit on Wike’s FB page, I actually saw Ikwerres insulting and attacking the Oyigbo people on his page during the onset of the slaughter for speaking about the murder. Even the ones that were polite weren’t spared. Accusing them of lying about the killings and their plight claiming that Wike is only murdering “IPOB”. If the regular Ikwerre people didn’t give a Bleep about the senseless murder of Oyigbo people, the hell do you expect from their so called “Chiefs”. Hell they had to reinvent the Ogbakor Ikwerre to Ogbakor Oyigbo to address the matter and even showed little to zero respect to the request of the king of the community in question. That alone should tell you how little they care

Though they might have their reasons but there's no such thing like ogbakor oyigbo

Right? I actually stood confused when I read that. When did they start having a group called Ogbakor Oyigbo? I could have sworn it was Ogbakor Ikwerre? When my family lived in River state, we lived in Oyigbo LGA and I don’t recall ever hearing such a group but, I sure as hell remember Ogbakor Ikwerre. I ended up googling the name just to confirm since I have not lived in River state for awhile and laughable enough, apart from this message, Ogbakor Oyigbo has yet to made any presence in any other articles, post, etc. grin grin grin grin Can you imagine? Ogbakor Ikwerre don become Ogbakor Oyigbo over Oyigbo matter. I guess since the king of Oyigbo condemned Wike and the soldiers actions in Oyigbo, he had to get his Ikwerre people to convert their group to Ogbakor Oyigbo and support and applaud the action. Just laughable. It is even funny to me that there are people arguing about this here. Clearly show the ones arguing do not even know anything about the community that they are arguing about. Then again, what do I expect from Nairaland. Ignorance is the father and mother of most of the people on this shit.

Nigeria is a shithole. A fucking failed state that still deceive itself of being some of importance to the world. The hell do you expect from a failed state with zero knowledge on actually how to run a developing government talkless a country. You expect a road like that in Nigeria grin grin grin grin grin. First stabilize electricity in that shithole before even talking about modern road. Even things that was a thing of wonder in the 60s or less is a thing of wonder and pride to Nigerians in 2020. Hell, your government, be it federal or state, uses flyovers, bridges and road building as boast of their so called development or exemplar of their work/achievement. The worst, you actually have slowpoke population who literally applaud that shit and parade those “achievements” as a thing of pride. The country is a fucking joke. Even third world countries do not do the shit Nigerian government or people use as evidence of development or achievement. The day you people start accepting that that your Nigeria is a complete failed state is the day you may actually stop dreaming that it’ll remotely come in having something found in both 1st, 2nd and even 3rd world countries.

That’s only the result of decades of brainwashing! Yes, they have produced some outstanding individuals that have contributed to the development of the state like Dr Odili and Chief V I Odili, but this has more to do with that indomitable Igbo spirit of never-say-never than it has to do with any ‘magnanimity’ and ‘love’ from other ethnicities in the state! Wasn’t it a Ijaw man that said Dr Odili could not take the slot of the south-south (Niger-Delta) because (and i paraphrase) ‘he’s not Niger-Delta enough’ or was it ‘because he’s Igbo’!? We’re Igbo when they want to land grab and limit Igbo territory....and we’re not Igbo when it comes to benefitting!

Some young Ndonians who have lost touch with their history will not know the likes of Dr Odili and Onwa Ndoni have strong links with Onitsha! In fact most of their parents and grandparents do! smiley

Ndoni was carved out of Delta state so the man you’re addressing is accurate in his statement. Ndoni is Anioma territory. The disagreement of their identity stems directly from the area of Anioma they originally were located in which is Ika/Ndokwa territory. Therefore, the same way there is disagreement on tribal identity in Ika/Ndokwa territory is the same way they have that disagreement in Ndoni. Infact, Ndoni don’t even see themselves as Ikas or even Ukwani and even fight with those people on their tribal identity including with Ikas and Ukwani that sees Ikas and Ukwani as a different tribe from Igbo. They rather call themselves a different tribe despite narrating they come from Ndokwa territory. The guy is right though.

Recovering oil wells when some countries are diverting from oil
What a backward state

It is not just about the oil well of those communities. Have you ever been to those communities? Honestly, I urge you to go and take a visit, you can quote me on this, you’ll be shocked. They are literally disregarded and poorly treated by the government of River state, most of which is Ikwerre controlled. Those communities are severely marginalized with little to zero development. Recovering them is also an attempt to save them from that bullshit. Recovering the oil well is likely the government reason but, removing those areas from River state is severely beneficial for the people. At least, because of their oil well, they may have a better chance in actually having the government of the state care about improving that territory at least. River State government sure as hell don’t.

About damn time someone started to do something for those communities stuck in River state. Abia needs to follow through with the same request likewise Delta state likewise every other non-Ikwerre territories carved to River state from another state. Ikwerre people marginalizing the shit out of those communities. Like shit, I always wondered have any of the state government personnel from the states that lost territories to River state ever gone to those territories to see the state of those areas in comparison to Ikwerre areas. The Ikwerre led government uses the money those communities bring in to develop their areas despite producing the least amongst all of them while letting those communities rot away and ignoring their cries of marginalization and injustice. It always bothered me how Anioma territory is wallowing away in River state and nobody in Delta government is doing anything to fix it. Applause to Imo state government on this and I pray to God they trigger other states to follow through. It’s about damn time they start saving these communities from Ikwerre’s grasp. Why it took so long is beyond me. I hope to hell this triggers other states to follow the same path as well honestly,

How many oil well is in Obio Akpor. And Wike is claiming Niger Delta.

Not much. Contrary to popular belief, Ikwerre has the least oil producing areas in River state. If not for Ogoni, Ijaw, Ndoni, Oyigbo, Asa, etc, River state oil production depending only on what Ikwerre produces, it’ll be one of the smallest production in Nigeria. That’s why I actually laugh on the arrogance of Ikwerre. To me, they are like the Fulani/North of River state. They use the resources of other communities bringing the naira to improve their territories while leaving the ones actually bringing in the fat goose to rot away. That’s why Ikwerres are fighting so hard to take back lands of River state that was carved to other states but completely forgetting that their are lands in River state that was carved from other states (Delta, Abia, Imo, Bayelsa, etc).

Do people know fulani history? Do you know why they are all over West Africa and claim lands all over West Africa even though technically they aren't from West Africa?

The invade communities, sack them and take over. Their ancestors did and if not for British they probably would have continued until every land in West Africa belongs to them. Unfortunately, out of all West African countries, Niggeria is the only one stupid enough to give them power excluding Niger of course but we know the reason that happened. The Fulanis are not going to stop on this. Quote me on this. If their history teaches anything, that land in all state they desire, they'll keep on trying until it leads to outright fights.

Only Aketi spoke partially about it

That's how Afonjas are.... Shamelessly pathetic!!!!! The most pitiful things I've ever witnessed in my 27 years of living. .

It's similar how they accredited Obasanjo of warning of fulani plans despite that same Obasanjo was pushing for Buhari when Nnamdi Kanu, they hate so much, was making announcement and warning of the plan since 2014.

It's similar how those demons that are known to be the traitors of South.. licking and sucking everything out of Buhari's ass just for the pitiful wish for the most demonic, drug pusher and user among them aka Tinubu to be president are now claiming they won a fight their demonic asses were defending all over social media. Last time I checked Umahi spoke up before any Afonja did. Likewise, the same for all southern leaders as well middle belt leaders. Those Afonja joined the fight after they noticed the plan wasn't going the way of Buhari. Last I checked was not recently that they Afonja started screeching against the plan. Always sitting in the side to see how things go before jumping into the right and pathetically screeching they the ones that did the fight. Tufiakwa!!!! I spit on the floor those demons walk on.
