Hi guys, what's your take on having a library full of spiritual books? (I'm not talking about PDF's here. Except such a book cannot be gotten in hard copy in your region. Because in my opinion, those who download PDF books excessively end up not placing much value on them because they were gotten for "free" and also not ignoring the harm excessive reading on your phone or computer screen can do to your eyes.)

I once read about a christian brother called WATCHMAN NEE who possessed about 3,000 (three thousand) books. Sounds crazy right? And guess what.. whichever WATCHMAN Nee's book you pick up to read will require serious attention and maybe serious prayers else you won't understand anything he's saying. The truth in his books are too deep for a normal person to grasp.

Some people belive that the Bible is enough for them while others believe that going a step further is very important as there are so many topics in Scriptures which may not be understood immediately without consulting some spiritual books (There's nothing new under the sun. Whatever you're struggling to understand, someone long ago had understood it and probably written it in a book.)

So is it really important to own a library or is the Bible enough?

You need to review this point.
1. You really can't say that God pampered the children of Israel because he dealt with them, and would have crushed them if not for Moses (considering that he was willing to start a new people from Moses).

2. Unlike the children of Israel who turned to idols and other iniquities, Moses "took" God's glory. That's not "an offence not even anywhere as serious as what the children of Israel had been doing for so many years"
Jehovah made it clear that he will not share his Glory with anyone, man or idols.

3. There's no suggestions that Moses was going to be barred from entering heaven. Rather, the physical land of Israel which he was allowed to look at from the mountain top.

Just to infer the "Moses" (the law) couldn't take the heirs of life into God's rest but Jesus (grace) can.

The word "pampering" in that context was used to indicate God's quick reversal of judgement and anger after a little crying from the Israelites or Moses whenever they did wrong. This I say happend because they were viewed as babies - people who chose to remain on the surface rather than go deep like Moses did. It's a choice you know

Life is not a bed of roses yet some people have learnt how to enjoy their lives within moral boundaries.

So also, marriage has challenges (job loss, delayed child birth, stubborn in-laws, frustrating bosses, things not working out as planned etc.) however if they both genuinely love themselves, they would enjoy their marriage and overcome all the challenges together.

As for Telemundo, I don't understand the appeal. I do not find love triangles interesting or appealing.

I love when a man genuinely loves a woman, makes her blossom and she also works towards pleasing him.

There is no place for a third wheel.

I also do not find spineless women and stupid men aka drama queens and kings interesting. Apologies to the Telemundo fans.

I think Telemundo is just a way to escape the harsh realities of the society just how some others turn to drinks, sex or drugs.

But sadly a lot of women tend to wrap their love lives around this fantasy. Some even unconciously begin to compare their man to those tv characters. Someone once said that those kind of programs tend to make one "dull". Don't know how true that statement is though. But from what I know... What you watch, read or listen to, you may soon become.

Hello guys, I notice that a lot of women spend time watching Zee World, Telemundo and Philippines love TV series. I don't really know what excites them in it. Well, watching those series isn't the problem but rather what it does to their minds. They end up believing that this is what real life marriage and relationship should look like. One lady even told me some time ago that her husband will be an angel. Now the funny part is that most men would who tend to treat the ladies this way usually get them feeling like a Princess all the way until when they eventually get married and probably the man stops fulfiling all her fantasies; you start hearing things like "you have changed. You no longer take me out since we became married." Or "My husband doesn't love me like he did while we were dating; I think he's cheating on me."

Married men/women in the house please share your experience as regards this issue. Does your idea of Telemundo, Philippines and Zee love series work in your home, or not? One love.

I hear how a lot of people claim to love and serve God. There's hardly a day you don't see churches opened for service. People keep trooping in; people who call themselves believers.

Who is a believer? Simply put - someone who holds an opinion or a cause in high esteem and will never give it up for ANY reason.

Now when you say I am born again or I am a beleiver or I am a follower of Christ; I want to ask - by what standard have you been able to guage or test your claims? Because there must be a way to test if gold is original or fake. For Christians one of the major ways to test the authenticity of our faith apart from love is in Romans 8:35 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or unclothedness, or peril, or sword?" Now don't be quick to answer. Think well before answering the question asked in that Scripture. See what Matthew 10:21-25 also reads

The season we're in is not a season to just wear fine clothes and attend services. Its not a season to just do 10 minutes devotional reading and prayer with our families every morning. Its not a season to just be active in church activities. It's not a season to claim alligeance to one denomination. It's not a season to just look for money all through. IT IS A SEASON TO BUILD CAPACITY or STAMINA.

Why capacity you may ask? Capacity in this context is the ability to withstand heavy "blows" recieved in the cause of your spiritual journey without giving up. It is the ability to train and equip yourself so that NOTHING can pull you down as you run. For it is written in Proverbs 24:10 "If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small." But I have good news - There's a way to build strenght so that when men are falling away in these end times because of hardship and perssecution, (2 Thessalonians 2:3 prefferably Amplified version) you'll still be standing strong. The solution is found in Isaiah 40: 30-31. It is continued intimacy with the Father, Son and Holyghost. This is how to build capacity. Intimacy is not easy but you must force yourself into it for it is by this we draw strenght. I tell people that nobody was born with a gift of prayer. Everyone that ever knew how to stretch in the place of prayer learnt it gradually with the Holyghost helping. A prayer warrior is someone who decided not be lazy about prayer or studying Scriptures.

A lot of people will forsake Christ in thsese last days when faced with physical death, intense starvation perssecution, frustration, poverty, etc. Benny Hinn once said that there are two types of conversions: one is birthed from human emotions while the other is birthed by the Holy Ghost. Some people became born again because they heard the message of prosperity. Others became born again because the Holy Ghost moved upon their heart. Do you notice that all the disciples of Jesus ran away when they captured Him to be crucified? You know why? Because they had not yet recieved the Holy Ghost. They only followed Jesus because they were fascinated by the amount of power He (Jesus) wielded and the miracles He performed. This is a clear example of emotional conversion. But what happened after they became baptized in the Holy Ghost? The same people stopped beiig scared of death. They became extermely bold. Why the drastic change? Their conversion was shifted from emotions to the real one because the Holy Ghost was poured upon them on the day of Pentecost after much waiting in prayers.

So I ask again what is the strenght of your conversion or belief? When faced with everything mentioned in Romans 8:35 will you still be standing or will you be long gone before the Master comes? Are you spending time travailing in the place of prayers and the word like the Apostles did or are you just a Christain who doesn't really care about the salvation they have recieved? Think!

Don't just fight. Make sure you're still standing strong on your feet after fighting. (Ephesians 6:10-18.) God bless you. I'll see you in heaven when the the names of soldiers who fought gallantlly are read out.

PS: If you're not born again I don't know what you're waiting for. You've been in sin for so long. How about you make this urgent switch to Christ Jesus now that you still have breath in you. Whatever you can't control, you harness properly. Time is a gift tomorrow is not guaranteed. It is better for you to become born again and be wrong about the existence of hell when you leave this earth than for you to live anyhow and discover that hell really did exist when you open your eyes on the other side. God loves you so much but He cannot force you to accept Him. Its a choice that you alone can make. The society should not make this important decision for you. Eternity is real.

My brother a man can make noise when he's alive and still bubbling. It is at the point of death we'd know whether you truly believe all these things you're saying. Then we'd know if what you claim to believe can bring ABSOLUTE peace to your heart. Knowing for sure that when you close your eyes in death you'll wake up in a place of peace and joy. I was referring to the dimensions they touched in God. For God, it didnt matter whether it was old or new testamenent... When a man goes deep in God and looks back the consequence may be severe like in Hebrews 6. Check how God kept pampering the children of Israel but watch what happend when Moses committed an offence not even anywhere as serious as what the children of Israel had been doing for so many years. See how God reacted. But for mercy, Moses wouldnt have entered heaven. When God was passing judgement He didnt seem to consider all the sacrifices of Moses for the children of Israel. Same with David. Its just like a man climbing a ladder or stairs. There's a height you'll get to; if you fall you will be lucky if you get to be limping. Your legs or even spinal cord would be broken or damaged beyond repairs. Now consider one who also falls but from the 1st, 2nd or 3rd step. He may at worst get a few bruises that will heal in one or two days. You see my point? What makes the new testament different is Grace and the Holy Spirit. If these were enough to provide a man "covering" why then did God have to wait till our dispensation to give that warning in the book of Hebrew 6? Thats because He's subtly telling us not to take Him for granted. His standards hasnt changed, His ways hasnt changed. He only made things easier for us by giving us the Holy Spirit and grace. Nobody knows the limit to which grace can cover a man before it is taken away. Thats Why Apostle Paul warned us not to abuse God's grace by sinning continually.

If you look carefully at the Scripture you quoted up there it wasn't asking that the prayer shouldnt be made for an unbeliever but rather one who is already in Christ. So Heb. 6:4-6 answers that.

PS: it is easier for an unbeliever to obtain forgiveness than for a believer who has followed God for so many years and has done business with God in deep waters to be pardoned if they become reprobate. Thats what happend when Moses and David disobeyed. Although God loved them but it almost cost them eternity.
