Ever since we broke the news last year about Tekno working on penning a deal with Sony Music various reports and details about the said deal has been in circulation on the internet, with many attributing a photo of Ubi and Tekno signing a partnership deal in Paul Okoye office as the Sony Deal...

Oh Well the deal has finally been sealed in far away New York by the singer, his label boss, Ubi Franklin and their new partner, Paul Okoye whom the duo met up with in the capital city two days ago upon arrival.

They moved on to Sony head office where they met with the staffs and put pen to paper on a $4 million deal, that's over 1.2 billion naira. The deal is said to be the biggest ever by any Nigerian artist yet and is also believe to dwarf that of Davido and Wizkid. The recording deal also sees Tekno sign under Colombia records, the first African artiste to do so.

Immediately after sealing his deal, Tekno and his gang stormed Barneys Store in New York where they were given a VIP treatment as the store got shut down for their shopping. Paul O could be heard in the background of a footage shared online complaining about just spending $2,000 when they had enough cash to spend more.

Tekno is definitely having it good and Nigerians are sure proud of him for proving he is a little bit more than a Next rated artist like some will have us believe ..

My state Government promised the Civil servants gift of Rice this Christmas , they announced that they will give them 50 Kg of Rice for Yuletide, then another magic started.
They went to Abakiliki and bought Rice, then printed a Rice bag which is 25 KG in size, they wrote ANAMBRA Rice on it, even though there is no place in the state where we have Rice Farm, unless we talk of Coscharis Rice, the one at Amichi (STINE Rice) is a bagging centre.
Not only did the Governor promise them 50KG of Rice but instead of giving them Rice as imported from Abakiliki, so they will enjoy the sweat of Igboland, we rebagged it and call it Anambra Rice, and instead of the 50kg ,we printed 25 kg, now instead of packing 25kg in the bag, they packed into some 8 kg, some 9kg and some 10kg ,the highest weights 15kg .

The thing is: u can't just open ur mouth and borrow western solution and expect it to work. Just like NOI advises buhari to increase TAX and VAT, just the way the wests used to do whenever they are hit with cash crunch..

because UK has turned its voice calls into luxury and her citizens have resolved to using WhatsApp call, abandoning the hpnewly highly taxed voice calls, doesn't mean we shld do the same.

Why not start by reducing the coat of governance and see?

My good people I am in a bit of a situation here and would like to hear from the community. I have lived the last few years in the UK and can say I am in a reasonably "settled" place in my life except for one thing: I don't have a wife and I am getting old!.

For the last few years, going by people's advice I thought it was best to cultivate a relationship here with someone here in the UK, learn about them and settle.

It has not worked out for me. Maybe its my luck, it has not quite worked with me with the ladies over here. I always end up with someone diametrically opposite to my goals and aspirations. The idea of marrying an Oyibo is even worse - things just did not work out in that direction either.

To compound the problem, I my job does not allow me much of a social life. I just cant make it happen without help.

On a friend's advice, I have been invited to come back home to naija and see how things can work out. I have therefore taken a months leave and am headed home for the next 1 month. Our plan is to visit a few good families and places to see if anything can materialise from that.

My people any advice on this? If you were in my shoes, how will you conduct this affair. What will you look out for. What will you avoid.
