you missed the point , if it was a diversion it would have been announced on the PA sustem and the flight attendance would have knowed.

There is more to this story as if it was a diversion it shuld have gone to Enugu airport with a longer runway than Asaba airport with a shorter runway.

Nigerians and nonsense talks, it not a news that a plan landed in another destination due to unforseen circumstances. It happens all the time and normal, I can't get why this has to be news.
It does happen sometimes even when the plane is just few minutes to destination and pilot will have no choice than to return to departed airport for safety reason.
To many foolish souls on this boundary called Nigeria, I have personally experienced a similar divert to asaba going to Abuja and we waited almost 2 hours before flying into Abuja due to bad weather.
