ok i agree. he was actually a christian too and discouraged those praising him to refrain from doing so. i think that is why they believed him more because they said that the returning son of god would be humble about who he actually is. anyways, if your talking about saints, i never really heard of anything he's done for others, like ghandi and mother theresa. i think he was just a good leader, going by what I've read and heard.

there's something i read a while back about Haile Selassie I. the thing sounded incredible and almost above human. i think it said something about how he didn't let white folks colonize Ethiopia and his trip to Jamaica and something about rain. i don't remember anyways.

Like the post up there said, the Italians invaded Ethiopia and the English in there intrest and not that of Ethiopians helped chase the Italians. So somehow Ethiopia was the first black independent nation or never colonized. Not very sure about their history though. But am sure Sallisee is not a saint as the Rasta would want to make us believe.
