I don't know what it is you are actually trying to prove, but Suarez is our most wasteful player....Don't let the 9 goals fool you. For every one goal he scores, he has spoiled 10 promising attacks and wasted 6 -10 clear cut goals...

Suarez of two seasons is not this Suarez, I agree but the you are going, its like you have replacement for him for tomorrow's match.

Our most creative player is Messi and with this team, our 2nd most creative player is Suarez unfortunately. And its not just goals, he is imaginative, he has a strangely good passing range, much better than any striker you can mention. And he understands "linking the midfield with the attack" that only Messi and maybe Coutinho does better than him.

If it is missing chances, Cavani, Benzema, Morata, Aubameyang, Aguero are all worse than him. Suarez' selling point isn't just his goals, but the willingness to allow others benefit from him. That's why he seems untouchable.

Look at Man city, creative players only; De Bruyne, Silva, Bernado Silva, Mahrez, Sane, Sterling, Mendy and Guardiola has forced Gabriel J. and Aguero to be part of them too. De Bruyne has been injured yet it doesn't look anyone is missing. In Barcelona, Messi, Suarez, Dembele, Coutinho and our wing backs. So you see the problem, more players need to step up and then more goals. Not just from Messi and Suarez.

no doubt Suarez ticks the other options except the goals in UCL this season. I still consider him a failure technically, what he has done is akin to a student who passed yoruba with A1 in WAEC but ended up getting f9 in maths or English. Now Suarez needs that suppport from Messi, Dembele and Coutinho maybe Rakitic when he get's more confident. Arthur doesn't give incisive passes. Suarez will definitely score. Those assists came in previous seasons. In recent season, how many times as he and Messi combined to score a goal? I sincerely agree that Dembele has a better understanding with Messi than Suarez at the moment and such understanding would grow if he gets to start every game just like the PSV game

What do u guys think of messi's transformation to a midfielder. We had a glimpse of that during the final minutes of the game against athletico.
It was malcom, suarez and dembele up front with messi slightly behind them. It was the same role fimino played against watford when he was behind mane, salah and shaqiri.

for Messi to thrive in that role he needs willing runners in front of him, and serious ball recoveries going on behind him. The way I'm seeing it, Messi will retire as a central midfielder, Pirlo-like CM.

This is Barcelona, not Real Madrid. Here, if we want to win UCL, all our strikers must score loads of goals. Messi will score highest, but other strikers must score too.

MSN scored 121 goals with Neymar contributing 39 goals including 10 in UCL. Same as Eto'o, Henry in 2009, Villa, Pedro in 2011 and Neymar Suarez in 2015.

The day our strikers started leaving the goal duties to Messi alone is also the year we lose the UCL. I remember Messi scoring 91 goals. Where were others? We ended up losing the UCL. Messi will score 60 goals, and Sanchez plus Pedro will produce less than 30 goals. Na Copa Del Rey and La Liga we go dey win na.

Suarez scoring just one UCL goal in almost 2 years is a shame to the famed institution called FC BARCELONA.

with all the goals Liverpool's front three scored last season, they finished 3rd in league and no trophy. If we can keep creating chances and our midfield gritty when needed and creative when needed and our defense strong through out the campaign, we can still win UCL with Suarez's goals or not.

Benzema was Ronaldo's foil, Suarez is Messi's foil, he creates spaces for Messi to score. Those unselfish 9 are almost undroppable, even Firmino is included. If Suarez scores more it will be appreciated but till we get another striker that is 70% like he will still be unbenchable

Against Atletico, Messi assisted Dembele to score. The next match against PSV, Dembele assisted Messi to score. All these happened in less than 90 minutes when combined together.

I can't remember the last time Messi and Suarez linked up to score a goal. Yet, the coach will NEVER see it good to bench Suarez.

Suarez has assisted Messi 27 times since he joined in la liga alone. Messi and Suarez have an exceptional understanding.

we tend to complicate things for ourselves, we concede unnecessary counters, like yesterday Rakitic lost the ball unnecessarily too often in the first half. I wish we weren't so dependent on "Messi magic" then we could rip these teams apart

It could come as good as Shalke, Ajax or Lyon.

It could get as bad tricky as Dortmund, PSG, Roma or Man U.

Man U is too lethargic, we can handle them, Dortmund's pace will trouble us for sure, against Roma, if we don't make the mistakes of last season, we will dispatch them too. PSG will be more troublesome, their coach is more technical than our coach, they also have a good forward line. But we have the experience to defeat them.
