And who needs a folding phone? Now its triple cameras, Nokia pure view will have 5, Huawei mate 20 pro has 4, yet Google pixel 3 has just two. And it beats all of them. Na wa for technology

In Chelsea, virtually everybody passes to Hazard, in Man utd, its Pogba, in Man city its either De Bruyne or Silva, in Tottenham its Ericksen, in PSG its Neymar, in Dortmund its Reus, in Liverpool its Salah. Every team has a talisman, a player the team can rely on. Ours is Messi and coaches don't even have to tell the players, you just do your bit, win the ball, pass to the star man and either get to your defending position or you get to an attacking position.

Me thinks these developers should find better problems to solve instead of focusing on authentication. Like I said before, our regular FP scanners already unlock in milliseconds. I wonder why they are trying to make it better when there are other problem areas to focus on.

If they continue like this, one day they will make phone with two notch on the middle left and right side of the screen, giving the phone a figure 8 display. And they will call it trendy while adding extra 50k on top.

they won't look for a way to make a 5000mah battery super light to use in a phone or make one camera to "rule them all" for a phone or optimise their os so much that there won't be need for 12gb ram phones its to be making UD finger sensor

my problem is the unnecessary cost it adds on phones not created by xiaomi, yet it isn't even 85% reliable. Actually my real pain is that it may be on redmi note 7 pro and I've never liked this "pioneering" that they do on mid range phones

Aside from unlocking my phone, I use my fingerprint scanner to sign in to certain apps e.g, Access Mobile. I also use it to unlock apps I have locked with app lock. Wondering how all of this will work with in display fingerprint scanner. I mean, would it still show the fingerprint icon to prompt you or the in display uses another interface entirely.... ..........

I wouldn't know, I've not used an in display FP scanner before, but I still think that conventional FP scanners are still better and more useful.

Don't even have issues with the batttery size paired with a 7nm chip but their decision to put a smaller battery than the predecessor. It's unusual from Xiaomi....from Mi 6's 3350 to Mi 8's 3400 and now, 3300mAh.

well maybe they respect what sd855 can do, GSMarena rates the battery to give 91 hours of power far better than any other phone with 3300 mah or 3400mah in the market

The in-display fingerprint reader of my OP6T is way slower than the fingerprint reader on the RN4 I had. There's no performance advantage. It's just futuristic and thrilling. I mostly use the face unlock which is even faster than any fingerprint reader.

exactly, you get my train of thought, these smartphone manufacturers just be jumping up and down, trading functionlaity and practicality for trends and looks. Well Mi9 has a "fast" UD FP reader but I still don't see the need for it.

actually I don't think you have to press anything before one uses the in display FP reader, but the way some phone manufacturers make it sound, some one may think that it is one awesome piece of technological advancement. The FP reader at the back has more uses than the in display FP reader

There's no much difference in speed. both are the same but I find the UD FB more convenient and easy to access.

this advantage is majorly for phones with longer displays, from 5.5 inches up. Also all those extra features with the conventional FP reader won't be available with UD FP reader.

Wonder why Xiaomi used 3300mAh on the Mi 9 tho.

I read on GSMarena that its 3300mah battery does quite well besides its not by mah but by the optimization in the UI. My complaints are actually that mi9 doesn't have sd card slot and headphone jack

that means among phones using under display FP reader, MI9 has the fastest but that doesn't mean that UD FP reader is faster than the conventional FP reader...

Apple are the kings of processors, sd855 still can't catch up to a12 in single core, multi core and graphics tests. But antutu tests sd855 blows every other processor out of the water

lol, if its that one, then I think its a boring advantage. Besides FP reader at the back offers more versatility of usage than Under Display FP reader.
