Politics / Gov Wike To Upgrade Facilities At Nigeria Law School, Bayelsa by IkwerrePikin: 5:34pm On Aug 29, 2020 |
RSG TO UPGRADE FACILITIES AT NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL, YENAGOA. * To construct two new hostels * Build 1,500 capacity multi-purpose hall Rivers State Government is to construct two new hostels that will accommodate nine hundred students each at the Nigerian Law School, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The State Government is to also build a 1, 500 capacity Multi-Purpose Hall at the school. Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike announced this today when he visited the school in company of the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Professor Isa Hayatu Chiroma. He said the gesture was part of the state government's contribution to the development of legal education in the country. "Rivers State also belongs to the South-South, so we think that we should also make our own contribution. "Accordingly, our State will construct two new hostels to accommodate nine hundred students each and also build a multipurpose hall that will accommodate 1,500 students. "Ordinarily, this school was supposed to be located in Port Harcourt, but the former administration rejected the offer made to them. "You know also that Bayelsa State was created out of Rivers State. Hence, we are still the same and whatever I can do in Rivers State, I can also do in Bayelsa State," he stated. Governor Wike noted that despite the economic challenges faced by the state, it will source funds from its scarce resources to execute the project. He said the present economic challenges would not stop his administration from solving problems. "This project will be executed immediately because we do not make promises without fulfilling them. "I have directed the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to write to the Director General to forward the design, so we can commence work immediately, "he added. Responding, the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Professor Isa Hayatu Chiroma expressed gratitude to Governor Wike and the Rivers State Government for the support, saying the school would ever remain grateful. Politics / Wike Donates Transport Vehicles To Nigeria Correctional Service Rivers State by IkwerrePikin: 1:33am On Aug 29, 2020 |
WIKE HARPS ON SPEEDY DISPENSATION OF JUSTICE *Donates four prisoner transport vehicles to the Rivers State Command of Nigeria Correctional Service Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says the lack of requisite infrastructure for the Nigeria Correctional Service can impede justice delivery. Governor Wike made the assertion during the presentation of four prisoner transport vehicles to the Nigeria Correctional Service at Government House, Port Harcourt. He noted that criminal trials are often delayed because there are no vehicles to convey inmates to court. Governor Wike said his administration provided the support because it is committed to promote effective and speedy delivery of justice in the state. "The courts, lawyers, judges, magistrates and the Nigeria Correctional Service all have their roles to play in the dispensation of justice. "When people talk about decongesting the courts, they blame it only on the courts. But speedy dispensation of justice and trial of criminal cases can be delayed by the Correctional Service. "When they cannot bring an accused person or inmate to court, cases will be adjourned. "So, the government must play its role to make sure that facilities or infrastructure are provided to aid the dispensation of justice. "That is why we are doing what we are doing to support quick dispensation of justice in this state. This will enable them to effectively perform their duty without excuses. "This is part of our policy to partner agencies of the Federal Government in order to have the best for the people of Rivers State. "We have supported all the security agencies including the paramilitary organisations. It is our duty that those who are serving here should render services to benefit the state," he stated. Responding, the out-going Comptroller of the Nigeria Correctional Service, Rivers State Command, Olumide Tuloye expressed gratitude to the governor for granting the request they made to him. He noted that no state government in the country has provided the quality of vehicles they have received from the Rivers State Government. Politics / 2023 Presidency: Niger Delta Will Not Allow South West Get Automatic Ticket. by IkwerrePikin: 11:45am On Aug 28, 2020 |
We want to make it clear to Nigerians that we the people of Niger delta who were denied our right for a second term (Goodluck Jonathan) will not fold our hands and let power move to the South West come 2023 as power moves to Southern Nigeria. There will be no automatic ticket here in the south, we want who ever the south west present to come forward and contest the primaries with other southern aspirants. Any attempt by any group of politicians especially from the North to support automatic ticket to the south west wether APC or PDP will be resisted in full force. If the South West can’t support the Niger delta complete it’s tenure then the Igbos who have not had the opportunity before will be considered. We the Niger delta have the resources and voting strength, if the North can’t support the Niger delta stand, then we will play the best music Nigeria understands which will affect the crude oil production sector whether positive or negative time will tell. The Niger delta will present Rotimi Amaechi to cover the South South second term and Igbo presidency since Rotimi Amaechi has said he is igbo even though he is from ikwerre local government in the Ikwerre ethnic nationality of Rivers state. |

Politics / Nigerians And Not Only Herdsmen Must Have ID For InterState Travel by IkwerrePikin: 4:09pm On Aug 27, 2020 |
The herdsmen are not the only people causing insecurity in this country. If we are serious about fighting insecurity we should do it perfectly well and make decisions that will help the security agencies. Just like Amotekun backed by law was established to tackle insecurity in the south west, I want all state government to develop a security system at it's state boarders, and pass a law through it's assemblies that requires Nigerians to show a govt issued identification card before crossing any state boarder especially the capital Abuja. Nigeria is a very big country, our boarders are so open without good security system. With the I.D requirement to get into any state,it will help govt have a data of it's people, it will help security agencies arrest wanted criminals and corrupt officers, it will also help the immigration arrested illegal migrants. The I.D can be local, state or federal government issued like Drivers license, National identity card, School I.D, work I.D, etc. The state government in corporation with immigration needs to know and have a data of movement of people into and out of their state for security purposes. Let's be serious about protecting our individual states. We have wanted criminals, serial killers, corrupt officers, and immigrants moving across the state freely because no identity verification across state borders. What do you think? Can this work? Do you support it? 1 Like |

Danger95: Yes all lives matters brother and we are all in to protect our lives and properties irrespective of our ethnicity because it could be the next person tomorrow. But please correct yourself about the igbos not benefiting from the proceeds of niger delta oil. The truth is that, the south east states have been receiving billions of allocations from Niger delta oil money for years now. We know this and nobody should ignore that fact. Nigerians in general receive billions of niger delta crude oil money as allocations to their various state. 1 Like |

Danger95: You’re simple attach by force and have no power to fight for your Biafra independently. We rejected your biafra in 1967 and we are still rejecting it till date and you’re talking about referendum, we don’t need to conduct referendum, there is no reason for that, Niger delta republic is older than Biafra. It was declared before Biafra, Niger delta struggle predates the biafra republic struggle. You take our rejection for biafra as hate, NO. We don’t want to be part of you simple and short. We will benefit more if we have a republic of our own. No reasonable Niger deltan will prefer Biafra to Niger delta republic. In biafra: 60% members of House of Representatives will be igbo (Same with north today) 60% of those in military will be igbo (same with north today) 60% of civil servants will be igbos 60% of votes will always go to the igbo block and this will them control the presidential election like we have the northerners in nigeria today. Do you igbos think we Niger deltans are fools? In Niger delta republic for the SouthSouth people, there will be no domination in national politics or civil service by any tribe. With our mini population, rich resources and access to the sea, we will have independent states base on ethnicity and leave together as one, intermarry and love each other peacefully. We don’t need any of these major tribes like the igbos, yorubas or hausas. You people can go and form your country. If you don’t want Niger delta republic to have it’s unique country and enjoy it’s resources independently, the. You’re an enemy of the Niger delta. Even if Niger delta and Igbo must work together to divide Nigeria, each will respect each other’s sovereignty. 2 Likes |

Danger95: You’re talking out of point. Concentrate on your Biafra. We Niger deltans collectively rejected your biafra and still doing so till date. Of course we have avengers who made it clear they were fighting for the Niger delta and not just for a single ethnic group. We Niger deltans are similar in culture, music and lifestyle. We saw Jonathan as our brother irrespective of him being ijaw. Listen in the Niger delta when it comes to national politics we are Niger deltans first before our individual ethnicity. We are not yorubas or igbo biafra neither are we northerners. We are Niger deltans 2 Likes |

Danger95: I’m a Niger delta base on my geographical location and that does not eradicate my Ikwerre ethnicity. Even Niger delta governors, politicians, and it’s people refer to themselves as Niger deltan, whats your problem with what we choose to call ourselves? Are you more intelligent than us? Our forefathers fathers never knew about Biafra until Ojukwu imposed it on us which we rejected will continue to reject and you know why?? Because a Niger delta republic for the South South is far extremely better than Biafra for SE and SS. We don’t want another Nigeria were igbo people will be the north of Nigeria. Igbo will have 60% of the said biafra with Niger deltans. Who wants that Tell yourself the truth, if you are a Niger delta with cities like Port harcourt, Calabar, Uyo, Benin, Warri, Asaba, and Yenagua, what will you need Onitsha, Aba, Owerri, Ebonyi, Enugu for?? According to the landlords, tenants have been refunded their rents. But the secretary of the Ikoku Traders Union, Nnmadi Levi have narrated how the spare parts traders were called in the early hours of Wednesday by local guards to report that men in police uniform, together with suspected thugs and cultists from the area came in their numbers to beat them up and chased them out of the market before they allegedly began vandalizing of their shops. He said the union leaders gathered this morning at their shops to witness first hand the level of vandalization and destruction and described it as wickedness. Nnamdi Levi decried that the traders who have been at home for months following the long closure of the market by the state government are yet to even recover from the long lockdown and wondered why such wickedness will be perpetrated against the traders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx2lEDePYTo 1 Like

Religion / How The Bible Belittles God And Exposes The Ignorance In Christianity (photo) by IkwerrePikin: 12:46pm On Aug 23, 2020 |
How can your bible say the Almighty God who knows the future regretted creating man?? Because you can only regret about something when you never expected it ! And i ask how can God regret creating man because of the sin of adam and eve in the garden, does it mean God didn’t know adam and eve will sin that made God regret? I bet this expose how much your christian religion is man made and does not have anything to do with God. All religion including african religion are all man made, they have nothing to do with God. It’s just that the whites/arabs Christian/Muslim religion was packaged and given to africans as the truth and the life declaring African own religion devilish. 2 Likes |
