NaijirianKing: You see why we have always know that you igbos are not our brothers and wants us to be part of you because of what you will gain not just because you love us. But we Niger delta are wise, Isaac Adaka Boro saw this and declared Niger delta republic. But it will not stop there, we have the ability and resources to make the voice of the Niger delta to be heard. And resource control we share get and it’s God that will do it for us. With the development going on in Rivers state, Cross rivers, Akwa ibom, Bayelsa, Delta and Edo state, poverty will be reduced in our land and people like you igbos will continue moving into our cities in numbers as you have always been doing over the years. Because Niger delta land is more beautiful and blessed with opportunities than Igbo land. How many Niger delta man can you find in South East? Can you compare the number with that of your igbo brothers in our land? Why will i leave Port harcourt, Calabar, Uyo, Beni for Onitsha? Aba? Enugu? Abakiliki? You migrants are welcome, but we will deal with you if you fail to obey our laws and respect our territories like we dealt with your IPOB igbo migrants in Oyigbo, Niger delta land. You igbos can move to APC in drones, Niger deltans don’t care, we are going to play our own politics and we have the resources and voting strength more than the igbos to build better Political alignment With the South West and North. Already Nyesom Wike already have great alignment with the North West and Emirs through his long time friend Tambuwa Gov. of Sokoto state . Same with Rotimi Amaechi who is very close to Buhari and the Northern political cabals. 2023 will be interesting. 1 Like 1 Share

You need to first heal yourself from being a tribal bigot and understand Nigeria’s PDP politics with open heart. Positions in PDP are shared base on geopolitical zones and not tribe. So you saying because Ikwerre people bear similar names with you igbos are taking top positions which igbos would have taken in pdp is wrong because under the PDP, the South East has produced Senate Presidents; National Vice Chairman of the PDP and Secretary to the Federal Government. They got these positions base on geopolitical zones and tribe. Don’t bring tribal politics here. I don’t know what is the problem of some of you igbos online. Ever since the Oba of Benin visited Rivers state to unite the benin descendants which include the Ekpeye, Ikwerre, Ogba, Engenni and others: You igbos have been so pained. Edo,Yoruba,Itsekiri answer similar names but you don’t see them claiming others. Ikwerre people are not igbos and there is nothing you people can do about it. You igbos can not know our history more than we Ikwerre people and the Oba of Benin. If you people like decamp to APC in drones It will only reshape the politics of today and which is normal. Everyone is playing a politics that them and their region will benefit so don’t bring tribalism into this mr igbo man. 1 Like 1 Share

Jobless Igbo man, the fulani killing your people in numbers what have you done about it? Your igbo brothers in Port harcourt (Ikwerre land) depend on our soil to survive and they will not engage ikwerre people in any economic or political battle because they know the implications. Ikwerre people don’t have issues with igbos, we marry igbos and have good igbos friends. But Ikwerre and indeed Rivers people will not sit and watch IPOB igbo migrants to cause crisis in our land. Our fathers rejected Biafra and we have no regret in following the foot step of our father in rejecting Biafra and we will continue to reject it again and again. You should better write more letters to your igbo IPOB terrorists to better stay far from Rivers state and indeed Niger delta region. Stop provoking people with your foolish write ups, because this problem you’re inviting for your igbo brothers in Rivers state will lead to lose of properties and bloodshed of innocent igbos in Port harcourt doing their business peacefully. Ikwerre and indeed Rivers people will continue to be accommodating to all Nigerians but you must obey our laws and opinions. Up till now nobody traditional ruler or youth body have come out to condemn the Rivers state government decision to clear IPOB igbo terrorists from our dear state. It’s only you people ranting and chest beating, why disgracing your Igbo people like this? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Numismatic: What is the meaning of “Ibo” In Israel where you igbo migrated from? How come no igbo bear Israeli names? Aka = Oka, [Oka abreviated from Okaro (Okao) meaning first. Leader, head]. Oka also represent fighter/warrior in Benin. Okuo is war in Benin. Oka Okuo, Okakuo (War leader, commander). Oka na Aka, (Aka n'aka) means war commander from Aka or Oka of Ogbelaka. (Please check Ogbelaka street in Benin on google – Ogbelaka is an area in Benin probably Aka domain or settlement in Benin). Akalaka (Akanaka or Aka n’aka) is warlord from Aka district in Benin (Ogbelaka). Owan will say Okakuo-si-Oba. Akalaka in Edo dialect of Emai also means, an acrobat or one who knows all tricks of acrobatics. If you check the etymology of the word...an acrobat in those days means the same thing as one who understands all the tricks of war. Akalaka. Same spelling. AKALAKA ALSO MEANS A GLASS CUP IN BENIN LANGUAGE Akaluoka, Akaluoba or Okaluoba means Oba army commander, defender or Oba warlord, which Benin will write “Okakuoba”. Akaluoba is Okakuoba in Benin. 9 Likes 2 Shares

Politics / Ikwerre People Thank Wike For Affirming Ikwerre Unique Ethnicity by IkwerrePikin: 11:00pm On Nov 12, 2020 |
As an Ikwerre man, i have so much joy that our son Gov. Wike stood his ground and kept politics aside to affirm the unique identity of the Ikwerre ethnicity. Ogbakor Ikwerre organization was established before Ohaneze Indigbo. So we already had our unique organization even before the igbos. Even a child in Ikwerre land will rebuke you if you ever call him/her igbo. (Those in Rivers state can testify) Don’t mind these IPOB brainwashed igbos, they keep lying to them but i hope they will be wise this time and know that Igbos are only migrants in Rivers state. Oba of Benin Visit River state, talks about Ikwerre people. Do you igbos know Ikwerre history more than Ikwerre people and Oba of Benin? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rb6oLOEYOI Ikwerre History Traced to Ancient Benin Kingdom: Iwhuruohna (Ikwerre) people have their roots traceable from the old Benin Empire.” Iwhnurọhna people descended from the ancient Bini Kingdom. The name of the grand ancestor is Akalaka. Their relations in Rivers State are Ekpeye and Ogba people. The reigning Oba of Benin when Akalaka, the ancestor of Ihruọha (later called Iwhnurọhna) fled was Oba Ewuare (Ogwaro). Akalaka, a member of the Benin royal family, fled in the 13 th century on allegation of plotting assassination of the Oba. He died in 1462. Iwhnurọhna his third son settled east of the Sombrero River by 1538 AD, as detailed below. Chief N.M.T. Solomon (2004), native of Ikodu Ubie in Ekpeyeland, in his narrative draws heavily from the now authenticated written historical records delivered by various informed sources including “Eketu (Weber) of Ubeta, assumed to have lived for over two hundred (200) years as the oldest man in all Ekpeye, Ogba and Iwhnurọ hna (or Ikwerre), at that time (and) was asked to narrate the history and customs of Ekpeye people” as unfolded in his lifetime. Here is what he said, which has been validated by the accounts of the current generation through responses to our questionnaires and direct interviews thereby increasing our level of confidence on the data: Ekpeye, born in Benin, was the first of the three sons of Akalaka. While in Ndoni, he married a second wife to gain the love and favour of the people. The new wife gave birth to a son, which he named Ogba. Akalaka was still in Ndoni when his first wife, the mother of Ekpeye, gave birth to his third son called Ihruoha (Ikwerre). 7 Likes 4 Shares

Nwadiuto247: You’re just ranting, igbo man. I’ve said it and i will say it again, Ikwerre did not stop any ethnic group from contesting governorship election in Rivers state. Come 2023 the other ethnic groups can field their own candidates and drum for support. Anybody who wins becomes the governor of Rivers state and it’s as simple as that. No cause for alarm. Only ikwerre people did not make ikwerre men governor, it’s votes from both ikwerre and other ethnic groups in Rivers state that made the ikwerre men governors. In Rivers state, we vote who we trust and have the experience of leadership and protection of the territories of our state. If Rivers people decide to vote another Ikwerre man after Gov. Wike, there is nothing you can do about it. Ikwerre people are peaceful, loving and accommodating, that is why all Rivers indigenous ethnic groups and other parts of Nigeria are living happily in Port harcourt, while doing their businesses. Stop killing yourself over Rivers state, you don’t even belong here. |

Nwadiuto247: Go and check the barrels of crude oil produced in Ikwerre land before you comment out of ignorance. Secondly, we did not stop anyone ethnic group from contesting governorship election in Rivers state. Ikwerre have always supported other candidates outside the Ikwerre ethnic group but Ikwerre can not singlehandedly produce a governor of Rivers state. Every tribe must support who ever wants to be governor. In 2023, whoever majority of Rivers people choose to be their governor will certainly be the governor of the state, whether it’s Ikwerre, ogoni, Kalabari etc. We Ikwerre people are accommodating and peaceful. |
