Buhari has no national interest. I don't see him doing anything beyond vendetta. Its all over the old one and he can't even hide it. For instance what has he done about bokos in his backyard? What did he go to USA to do? When exactly should we start expecting results when he would be setting up his cabinet 4months after he was sworn in? |
Igbo Leaders of Thought, a body of eminent Igbo personalities, has warned that the plan to probe the immediate past federal government should not be a ploy to humiliate political opponents of President Muhammadu Buhari, including former President Goodluck Jonathan. The group, led by constitutional lawyer, Professor Ben Nwabueze, also urged Buhari to immediately restructure Nigeria without delay. In a statement titled “Only truth and justice endures,” which was signed by its deputy secretary, Evangelist Elliot Uko, the group said the impending probe must be devoid of “witch-hunting and smear agenda.” It stressed that the probe would be reduced to a jamboree if it becomes an avenue to humiliate political opponents. Using the probe to humiliate political opponents of the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government would cause problems for the country, the Igbo Leaders of Thought warned. “Desirable as the probe and prosecution of corrupt officials of the outgone regime is, we must endeavour to avoid witch-hunting and smear agenda. “Only the probe and prosecution of factual, traceable and clearly identifiable cases of abuse of office and misuse of public funds will inspire confidence and receive commendation of the citizenry and the international community. “Humiliating and deliberately degrading political opponents in the guise of probe and prosecution of corrupt officials will only reduce the whole exercise to a jamboree, that could lead to a lot of a acrimony and bad blood which we believe, is the last thing Nigeria needs at the moment,” the group said in the statement. The Igbo Leaders of Thought also insisted on the restructuring of the country into federating units. The proposed restructuring of the country was canvassed by several groups, including the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, and Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural body, during the 2014 national constitutional conference. Insisting on restructuring, the Igbo Leaders of Thought argued that it would amount to living in denial to pretend that the current federal structure was sustainable. The group noted that fighting corruption and insurgency alone would not be enough to restore the confidence of Nigerians in the country’s future. Arguing that the current federal structure, which was established by the military, was the bane of contemporary Nigeria, the Igbo Leaders of Thought described the proposed restructuring of the country as urgent. It said, “We believe that Nigerians from all persuasions, political divide, zone or status all agreed that the unity, security, stability of Nigeria should be the priority of all concerned at this juncture of our national growth. “Sincerity of purpose, commitment to what is best for the country and for the good of all should guide actions and steps of our new leaders. “While views and opinions may differ on solutions to the myriad of problems confronting us as a people, truth is usually located somewhere near the court of justice, equity and fair play. “Continuing to pretend that the present political structure is sustainable is clearly to live in denial of reality.” www.punchng.com/news/probe-dont-humiliate-jonathan-igbo-group-warns-buhari/ |

Ok Congratulations |
isolated:Well, Mr Reek, your sins might not be as high as that of the Lannisters yet a killer and ungrateful murderer you are. And that's why I didn't pity you when you're being skinned alive by the Boston's bastard neither am I against your deserving death from free fall, I only sympathize with the stalk girl you had to take with you in your hasty bid to end your miserableness. The Lannisters pay their debt, so will North of Nigeria continue to pay the debt they owed death until all deaths are re-payed. ...winter is here already; the long night has come and with it comes death. |
Whynotthetruth:...intellectually classical statement. I hope our world number one propaganda outfit, APC knows that we know. |
obailala:Pls am a nigerian and have lived in nigeria all my life. And I know the history of my country. .....the long night has come and with it comes death. Boko haram are the white walkers and not even all the kings in the north put together can stop its quest for blood. |
jamex93:You need to pray so God can open your blind eyes to see that the long night is here and with it comes death. |
Dharniel:Of course I know they're not all the same, its just that only a wicked barbaric foool rears a snake in his backyard expecting them to bite only his neighbors. |
isolated:On the contrary I would never take a life but those who take others life I would never sympathize whatever fate brought them as a result of their wickedness and barbarity. So in all honesty try as much as I wish I could not bring myself to pity the north because the evil they have visited on others for years has simply returned to haunt them. It should serve as lesson to other barbarians |
Dharniel:Sure I would have placed myself in their shoes had they also placed themselves in other peoples shoes when they were all busy murdering strangers who came to their lands believing its all one Nigeria, not knowing they could be killed for as little as mistaken a paper inscribed with Arabic words. Such barbarity. |
Game of Thrones 5 is as funny as everything about boko haram and northern nigerians..... When the Queen Mother Cesie Lannister was conniving and Arming the religious fanatics of the temple of seven stars to undermine her sons wife the Queen and her family House Tyrell and other supposed enemies. The Queen mother never imagined the fanatics she armed would turn back to haunt her after dealing with the minor sins of the brother&sister of the House Tyrell and others who patronize brothels... Unfortunately as it turned out Cesie Lannista's humiliation was worst than she planned for her perceived enemies. Such is the fate of that Lannister, Northern Nigeria & all those who kill for slightest excuses as northern nigerian muslins have done since 1950s. Now the result of all their killings has resulted in the monster named boko haram. Unfortunately for nigerians, the federal government will keep being in debt borrowing just to fund north east, a section of the country that contributes nothing to the country except misery. ...well, unfortunately nigerians seemed unaware that winter is here...the long night has arrived and with it comes death. |
