There’re only good anime series not movies. And since AOT finished - I decided to end my anime journey until I see someone who already has One Piece pre-downloaded for me to collect

Ami the only one who finds it difficult to watch movies or series now? Or I'm just investing my time in boring shows lately 😩

The Boys Season 4 was good. Of course, it wasn't as good as the earlier seasons, which is natural for any superhero series. Please, tell me a superhero series that season 4 is better than the previous season (*cough* the flash).

However, you were swayed by anti-woke right wing movie critics that THE BOYS season 4 is not good. It is still great, even though earlier seasons are better.

Like I said - I watched the Boys S4 and it wasn't great👀 it was good close to avg - personal biases most of the times determines how you take a series - Sex Education is one is my favourite series of all times but most people here hate it because it's gay leaving out its story🤷🏽‍♂️. You can't single out The Drinker because he does the same thing. The Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto was totally hated by people in the United States not because of its story but because of the director and its message- imagine those movies coming out today! Most people in Europe and the US who actually like the movie would say they don't because they don't want to offend folks - the same for Black Panther

You're totally right with his take on black panther but it wasn't foolish- rewatching it over the years shows how overhyped it was - the only reason it was very successful was because it was Marvel combined with black people and white deniers supporting black folks- it doesn't have anything to do with its story🤷🏽‍♂️. This is not true. I even believe he's more authentic than most movie critics because you already know what to get from his reviews. Take a look at HoTD - he made a video before it premiered that it had the potential to suck! but after watching the first season, he changed his mind- also, he has been a hater of Disney star wars projects and Disney overall- it'll do him well if he bashed every Disney and Star Wars project that comes out but he never does - he gave a good review for shows like Andor, Mandalorian s1 and S2, which to everyone's POV were good shows, even Disney movies like Deadpool and Wolverine and others - he wasn't bias🤷🏽‍♂️ unlike some reviewers like Reel Rejects and Cinepals who watched the Acolyte in pain and never gave a bad review even tho it showed in their edit and face that it was bad because they didn't want to offend the overlords. I did use to watch his videos just to laugh at how he criticizes them, he does have some valid criticisms that makes sense compared to nerdrotic who I don't even want to get into but there are some that will tell you he's just farming for views and they are all filled with recipes of rage-bait from manipulation of movie scenes to fit his narrative like he did with glass onion to him choosing specific blockbusters or trending movies to discuss on which are mostly Disney content because hating on Disney gives you views now to his personal biases on the culture war and how it impacts movies forgetting we've gone down this route before. Don't even get me started on him criticizing movies that haven't been made yet or the ones whose trailer have been released like he did with prey (he had to release another video to say he was wrong only to criticize the movie again in his "drinkers after hours" video cast with his "team". How about how he also doesn't understand some movie or series scenes? the way he analyzes scenes in his "after hours" podcast is just steeped in his personal bias and somewhat dumb that he misses certain plot points as we see in the case of his "the last of us" and "one piece" reviews not to even talk about him screaming about movies and "the message" which is a good thing but he's so against the message that he's beginning to turn into what he actually hates because a movie didn't appeal to his own message. What's even more laughable is that he reviews movies that he didn't even see like his review of the new season of the boys had me gagging, a season he specifically said he didn't even watch, even his own audience trolled him in the comments

There are lots of examples that I can give but don't want to derail this thread any further, I don't listen to movie reviews especially the ones on YouTube because most are a cesspool for toxicity, I watch and I form my own opinion

Unfortunately, farming for views is what almost every YouTuber does - he's no different - movie YouTubers pick the most talked about topic and form their own opinion about it - that is his job! What makes him different is because he talks about not only movies and pop culture relevant topics on movies but trailers too- even Jeremy Jahns does that sometimes🤷🏽‍♂️ you say all this like he only talks negative about movies which is totally false! He has said multiple times that Hollywood hasn't been making good movies and he makes videos of how dumb some movies are - and he's not wrong- he has his style of reviewing movies and that's not wrong - he doesn't need to change his style because people say he's rage-baiting since it works for him. He never said you shouldn't form your own opinion- it's still his opinion and you're free to use the information you got anyway you want.
If you really think YouTubers don't have a bias when forming an opinion about movies- you're totally wrong- some Movie critics hate a movie just because of a subject matter being discussed - like Sound of Freedom that was bombed with bad reviews from critics just because they don't like the guy in the movie and subject matter. Drinker has his personal bias - of course! But don't think every other critic doesn't. It doesn't make him different
