PoliticsRe: Subsidy Probe Report Indictees Will Not Be Prosecuted – Min Of Justice Adoke by iluvnet(m): 9:38pm On May 03, 2012
The way our rulers are going about is so bad. Can an average young man who went through hell to get educated and get a degree only to come out and get no job look at all these mess and not be tempted to evil - become an armed robber in order to get a share of the national cake that is being hoarded by just a small group of people who will not allow the wealth of a whole nation circulate to all hardworking citizens. The more you look in this country the less you see. Corruption is being elevated everywhere. May God help Nigeria. Amen.
Christianity EtcCan An Angel Be Looking For You With Your Blessings? by iluvnet(op): 7:51pm On May 03, 2012
Hi everyone,

I was told by someone that they were in the church for a meeting and the Pastor said that an angel with blessing of a life partner is looking for someone and the person is not present in the church. Pastor later called the sister of the person out to pray for her to take the blessing on her sister's behalf. However, in this same church is a committed sister who spends all her life catering to the needs of the Pastor, that is present and is looking for a life partner. This sister was omitted and the blessing of a life partner was given to another person that was not even present in the church meeting. Is this possible?

Is this true of angelic ministry? Does it mean that an angel does not know where the owner of the blessing is? I mean, can an angel leave heaven for a church with blessing and would not know whether the owner of the blessings will be in the church or not. Please pastors in the house, help me out as I have gone through the bible and this idea does not sound biblical to me. The absent person is not a born again person and she married few months after that prayer to an unbeliever while a committed and born again sister was left. This is disturbing to me. Please explain what this is all about.

Thanks.

I will not advice anyone to borrow, let alone take a bank loan for a wedding ceremony that will only last for few hours of a day and languish in debt for the rest of the married life. So, please stay away from the loan.

WebmastersRe: Where Are The Google Ads on Nairaland? Google Ban? by iluvnet(op): 11:31pm On Apr 19, 2012
its been more than a week now that the ads are no longer showing. I have come across several threads online as well as some emails regarding adsense ban. And even the premium publishers are not spared at all. Recently, I read of hatchlings.com, how it was banned and I got to know of another person earning $10k a month banned. So, I was just wondering if they've got to seun's nairaland or not. What do you think guys? Is google becoming an uncontrollable monopoly that deals with its publishers anyhow? Pls drop your thoughts.

armyofone: what did you take with you when you were going? gift for her, the kids etc? did you call to let him and the wife know you coming?
did you bring your own stuff with you? overnight bag with soap, cream, paste, brush, sponge?
you are a visitor, did you act like one?

CC gave you a good idea. Next time always call first. we are in 2012.

now call them to thank them for the last visit. talk to the wifey and thank her for her hospitality the last time you were there
and that you enjoyed your stay.
thank you for this advice. I agree with you totally. OP, pls call them now, especially the wife and thank them for their hospitality. You will notice the difference in the wife's response. If she respond negatively, i urge you to call her another day and discuss her attitude to you. it maybe she needed comfort or word of advice from someone. Try it and see what happens.

BusinessWhere Are The Internet Marketing Gladiators Of Success Digest? by iluvnet(op): 9:48am On Apr 06, 2012
What happened to the internet marketing gladiators we normally see in the famous Success Digest magazine? Also, what happened to the famous magazine itself? 1 or 2 years ago, when you need any information on internet marketing, you will go for Success Digest, but nowadays, I see that the magazine is no more trailing this path. Is it that Nigerians are no longer responsive or are tired of the same topics and people? Is it that there is nothing "new" to talk about in the magazine and the publisher feel its time to move on to another field - entertainment.

The funniest part is when Mark ZuckerBerg switches to the Yoruba

this is a nice thread and am learning. The best advice for all of us is that we should not give up. We shall make it if we don't give up. It may not yield fruit at the beginning; but it will in due course. Also, look before you leap into any business. Due diligence cannot be overemphasized.

Thanks OP for a great topic.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Can't The Post Of A General Overseer Be Rotated? by iluvnet(op): 8:39pm On Feb 24, 2012
goshen360:
First of all, I want to thank you for this kind of thread. I have many burden I have carried in my heart for long and the Lord is leading me to begin to put some teachings together. This thread is one of the things am putting biblical teaching  about. One of the problem in the church today is that, when you are not famous or have a voice in the body of Christ, people easily look down on you even when you speak the truth and for that reason, I cannot bring up some teachings here on Nairaland.

To respond to your thread. The Church today is doing business out of the great commission of Christ and this is UNBIBLICAL. It is unbiblical in the sense that, Jesus never commanded us to go establish Churches while we create a worldly kind of system whereby branches are made to bring all generated tithes and offerings to headquarter Church.

Secondly, Apostle Paul established many churches and he never oversee any of them to be under him as the one that created such churches. Today, men have become greedy and institutionalized the Church. Yes we are doing the work of God but with worldly standard or worldly methods hereby creating ungodly burdens on God's people. We have a standard in the word of God and Acts of the Apostles is the foundation of the Church of God and nothing different should be built on a foundation except we are trying to write another bible.

To the main question now. If the Church had done things in the right biblical way and based on the foundation, there will be no need for general overseer in the first place and not need for institutionalization of the Church organization. Should a Church establish branches? Yes but not bringing them under an institutionalized headquarter.  The Church is not a democratic settings. Spiritual leaders are ordained by God and MUST not be replaced or rotated. So now that the Church had adopted the worldly ways of doing godly things, why should we be replacing or rotating the pastors and not rotate the GOs as well? Is it not a partial ground to change a pastor and not change the GOs since the pastor are put there by the leading of the Spirit, except something is wrong. I hope you catch my tone and see what am talking about? This Church is not a worldly organization but the Church herself had made it like a worldly organization and institution.

I am willing that we talk maturely about this subject but I might be out if insults start to come in. I am beginning to see a lot of errors on Nairaland where new generation of Christians are not willing to accept any other biblical truth because it is not taught by their denomination or spiritual head. Hence, they strongly oppose any other truth coming outside their denomination and taking such truth as false. Folks here are also ready to defend their spiritual leaders to any length even when such leaders are wrong. I can point you a lot of things the Church is doing today that are very unbiblical but I will rather wait till appointed time.

I will stop here as other things will come up when others contribute.

God bless you.
new generation of Christians are not willing to accept any other biblical truth because it is not taught by their denomination or spiritual head
God bless for all the bolded and the quoted above. Whenever you try to talk maturedly to some christians about some unholy and unwholesome practices in the church, you are labeled heretic or disrespectul to constituted authorities and the supporters of the G.O will promise you hell and brimstone. Please, if you are being to show us the truth, please go ahead and show us and don't bother about whose ox is gored. God bless you.

Omofranca:
Even for the non religious, the law of karma will definitely, eventually come into operation!
thank you for the bolded. This is what some of us spirit filled and tongue speaking Christians sometimes forget. Like you said, even if nobody in the church knew about the falsehood of the testimonies, God knows and HE will judge and no amount of anointing or prayers can/will save that person on that day. Whatever you sow, you will reap.
Christianity EtcWhy Can't The Post Of A General Overseer Be Rotated? by iluvnet(op): 9:34pm On Feb 23, 2012
Hi everyone,

I am just wondering why the office of a G.O cannot be rotated? Is democracy foreign to the church? I have seen a church where the G.O's office is permanent while other officers are rotated every 2 years. So, if you get into the wrong book of the G.O or his wife, you are bound to be removed from that post within 2 years as it is the G.O that prays about the new officers and no one can either confirm or reject any particular officer. I know (but stand to be corrected as I don't know if it is still in practice) that foursquare rotates their G.O office every four years and if a man performs, he continues for a second term and after that no more. But why is this difficult for other churches? I presume the G.O sees himself as the ordained officer  that can't and must not be removed from office irrespective of whether he loses his anointing or not. Are our G.O's not guilty of the same sin we accuse African politicians of?

Let me quickly add here that I am not supporting people who are post seekers in the church who will try all means to bring down a man of God simply because they want to occupy the post. I am just asking in order to learn.

Please lets have mature discussion and let everyone of us learn.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I can get you a good article at that price. But how much will you pay for the submission to popular article directories (not some trash sites where you will not get high quality backlinks), WordPress blogs, web 2.0 sites as well as pinging all the links on these sites so that search engines can pick them up and rank you high on the search engines. To be honest, am trying to offer Nigerians these services without compromising quality. The articles will be quality ones and I can also submit them for you if you or anyone wants.

Hi @ poster,
As a nigeria, the only way you could get your money is through paypal or you open a escrow account. I have sold one of my site there but I use my friend's paypal info as means of collecting payment.

Thanks
Thanks bro. I checked out escrow and it was specifically stated there that Nigeria is not supported. That would have been the best option but am still thinking and looking for more options to give intending buyers of my websites.

Clean titles cars might been also been in accidents too, but have no records of it,so i would rather buy a car that i know the history of, than a clean car at a higher price that could have been in a really bad accident.
If the car has been fixed professionally, it will work great and will last a long time.
Thanks for your views. However, since I know you to be an expert in this business. What kind of "dent" or "accident" is safe? Am I safe buying cars with dented side or dented backside as I know that head on collision is not appropriate. Also, what else should I look for inside the car as some sellers may show you a very nice interior.

Thanks everyone for your views. Am really enlightened on the topic. Your views will surely shape my final buying decision.

Salvages are no no from the current experience I'm having. Plus if they're fixed in Nigeria just for sale. There are lots of hidden traps and stuff you have to deal with later. And you will pay back! Coupled with stress going to mech on and off.

Buy clean title and get piece of mind. Instead of low mileage accident a clean title with long mileage is what I'll do next time
Thank you for candid opinion. Can you please clarify this statement.
