Q. What makes you become a child of God?
A. Because you believe in Jesus, right? John 1:12
Q. What made you recieve salvation?
A. Because you believed and confessed Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, right? Rom 10:10...
Q. Was it by any of your works?
A. No! Ephe 2:8
So what makes you think you can remain saved by mere works if you did not get saved by your works? Gal 3:3 So, simple belief and acceptance of the saving work of Christ makes you a candidate for heaven. How then did wearing ear rings make you go to hell? How can you believe in Jesus and yet go to hell because you wear ear ring? Its not possible.
Besides, care to tell me how wearing of ear ring is a sin? What of the whites that wear this and still make heaven?
This thing came as a result of we trying to"africanize" christianity. Jesus made the christian life simple, no need to complicate it.
The word of God is bigger than any vision. Therefore, i refuse to accept that ear rings makes people go to hell.

Well I think, we can still believe in Jesus and still be lyeing, fornicating, smoking etc since our works do not count in maintaining our salvation, then after u might have believed in Jesus, d passage that says 'work out ur salvation'... Shouldn't come to play.
I got convinced when I read a place that says 'and thou shall not make any pierceing or cutting in ur skin, its we humans that pierce the ear lobe of a girl child when she is born.
No matter your skin colour, the word of God is the same, it can't change to favour some people, that is why the bible says that the day of the Lord will be terrible cos 'MANY' people will not make it.
Well I will end by saying that in every rumour, there is always an atom of truth. Whether u want to believe in the vision of the people(both black and white) that have seen hell or not, the truth remains that there is a warning.

Whatever anybody does should be according to d word of God(Bible)and not according to man's lay down doctrine. If the Holy God almighty approves of homosexuality and lesbianism in his Word(d Bible), then why not practise it but if viaout d Bible, he doesn't approves, then its a 'SIN' no matter how u seek God, u won't make heaven except u repent and seek pleasure with d opp sex. God is no respecter of any persons.

Jesus told d disciples to wait for the promise of the father, now what was that promise?
At a point in the bible, Jesus prayed so much that his sweat turned to blood, now tell me, was Jesus praying 'o father Lord, I thank u 4 today' in so much that his sweat could become blood? He was at a point of warfare, communicating heavenly languagues.

Now, u will be a christian that d devil uses as a football without the power of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues is just an evidence.

A girl was walking along a bush track somewhere and d holy spirit just laid a burden in her to start praying and she started praying in tongues, she just walked pass that track and some few minutes later it was heard that somebody had been rapped along that track, now what happened? As the other girl spoke in tongues angels of God were released to accompanied her down d road but she didn't see d angels. If she had started praying normally with her own language, she would have probable prayed amist at that point in time.

Lovine: WHAT LANGUAGE IS THE SPEAKING IN TONGUES?

Its Heavenly language and God is the author of it. Our lay minds are so limited to understand the mystries of the kingdom without the spirit of God.
In the book of acts when the disciples where baptized they spoke in diff languagues that they themselves didn't understand but the people in the community heard them speaking in their languagues.
Now, God may decide to send a message to someone in a crowd so he may use someone to relay d info in the person's native dialect while the person speaking the tongues will not or may not understand what he is saying but owner of d message has gotten his message. This has happend to someone I know.
Now speaking in tongues doesn't mean u should read d tongues on d board or repeat after someone, u need to desire this gift with a sincere and contrite heart, it may not come on the first day of ur prayers, God wants to know u really need this. Sometimes, during worship or prayers(general or personal), d spirit of God could just come on u and empower u with the gift and you will just start speaking, its not pretaught.
At other times, a preacher may need to lay his hands(impartation) on u for d power of God to overshaw you.
Its a wonder experience, you just need to have a taste of it.

Goshen360: Praying tongues NEEDS NO INTERPRETATION

Tongues are languages the devil cannot understand that is why its expedient for every true believer to be baptized with this gift.
Only in some rare cases that a person with d gift of interpretation of tongues can interpretes most times in a prayer gathering where God wants to relay information so tongues can be interpreted but d main point is to help d believer in a warfare prayer, in worship etc
Its just that today's church doesn't want to go through the pains of sacrificing some times in prayer and in holiness for us to experience God in his fullness and the manifestation of these gifts in our mist.

There are countable testimonies of people speaking in tongues and miracles just starts taking place, 1. A couple where praying in tongues in the night and angels of God were released to hold a water tank that would have fallen on them that night, so d tank fell on d spot where they where sleeping that was after they must have gone for work in the morning, imagine if they were only praying in english language that they understand, dy would have been dead by now.
2. A church had embarked on some nights prayer and speaking in tongues and the heavens was open for them, their eyes where all opened, they could see Jesus and demons, some where taken to see hell and heaven etc. I would encourage u to read this book titled 'Baptized by blazing fire' by Pst Kim, its online.
There are many more testimonies but I want to encourage somebody that the power that was at work in the lives of Apostles of old is still at work today only if we can yearn for it.

. The truth is that there is no catholic, pentecostal etc church in heaven. Anyman that accepts Jesus christ as his Lord and personal saviour and obeys his instructions will make heaven otherwise being a christian by name or a catholic without christ will land u in hell. Paul talking in d book of Acts said after teaching and preaching go back and search the word of God if my doctrines and teachings are according to the scripture, so my dear friend I will want you to do d same, go search d scriptures if ur church doctrines and teachings are according to d word of God, have been there before.

Indeed when a man speaks in tongues,the people do not understand him but the bible says he edifices his own spirit.Apostle Paul however said it is better to prophecy because it benefits more people.

See Apostle Paul's statement:'I speak in tongues more than all of you'(Vs 18).Why would he make such statement and even say he does it more if it was fake?

. The word 'christian' means 'christlike'in other words, if u are not christlike, u are 'satanlike'.
@OP, I don't want to call u a false teacher because I think u are a little ignorant of d word and I won't want u to mislead others cos they may not forgive u when they find themselves in hell fire, now there are pastors in hell just because they didn't believe in speaking in tongues.
The gift of speaking in tongues was given for our edification,u may not need to speak in tongues when u are ministering to someone unless there is a person with d gift of interpretaion of tongues, but you can do that when a group prayer is going on, when u are praying alone. The bible says for most times we pray amiss but when we pray in tongues d spirit of God makes intercession for us, its an heavenly language, so a canal man does not understands the things of the spirit.
Don't read d bible for arguement but try and read d bible for a deeper revelation of his word.

#smiling# you are a sincere person. All the earthly possession will make no sense when rapture has taken place, so its better not to gain the whole world and loose your soul. When you are truely born again you will see that all the things you mentioned above will make no sense to you, that you can actually live a life free of sin by the help of the Holy spirit. You can pray this simply prayer of repentance - Father, I come before you just as I am, I acknowlegde that I am a sinner and I ask for mercies and forgivenness of sin by the blood that was shed at calvary, may my name be written in the Lamb's book of life and may your spirit help me. Did you ask her when she started drinking or when the mother died?
Do you know what led her to drinking or do you know if the mother was caring so she can stop or reduce her drinking habit? And maybe that's why God needed to show her that dream himself.

Let me get this straight...someone slept, had a dream about hell, claim that the dream is a revelation from God and I am supposed to take it seriously?

Well, you don't need to take it serious, its a matter of choice, but that day will be more than terrible just as it was in the days of Noah.
D bible say for young men shall see visions and old men shall dream dreams, in most cases dreams are reflections of what is going on in your life, God can decide to give you a dream like this for you to make amends. You can ignore it-choice.
