Thank you pastor, God bless you. Others also help without politicising the issue and making unconfirmable statements and allegations. Can you imagine having to give a village in BENUE yam as gift? The governor is sleeping on the wheel and affecting the whole nation.
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu Will Visit Kaduna Today (Photos & Videos) by Image123(m): 11:51am On Jun 19, 2025
This is governance or at least better governance. The governor has majorly worked and liased to solve the Southern Kaduna issues. It is what Tinubu talked about yesterday. We are here to govern, not do burial. Benue is the food basket of the nation. We have seen great agricultural strides from other states like Niger state. All we keep getting from Benue is news of herdsmen, governor fighting with his godfather. Let's see commisioning, governor solve your problems. The FG can help you but you are the one on ground. Politics is local, governance is local.
i'll also be frustrated if i was Director of a bank and they were sending me to bank branches to solve customer care problems. Not because i don't care, but because there are people there paid to do the job.

Kukutente23:
You know this idea of shifting responsibility for security to the state govs started when APC took power at the centre. Before then, every incident of insecurity was laid at Jonathan's door. Chibok girls were kidnaped in Borno while BBOG happened in Abuja. Even Shettima who was directly complicit by ignoring WAEC's request to move all the children in terror prone areas to the capital to write their exams. Yet, he went on TV to shed crocodile tears and you all hailed him then.
It is you that's now crying that insecurity is being politicised and you believe genocidal killings are within the power of unarmed governors to curb?
Lol, you are either ignorant or mischievous. The governor is the chief security officer of his state. It is not the responsibility of the FG to secure the states but the country. It is if water pass garri that the FG comes in, usually through the military. This is how it has always been. Every incident of insecurity was not laid at GEj's door. i clearly remember the herder's clashes, OPC problems, riots and cult clashes, bank robberies, one chance menace in Lagos during Tinubu and Fashola time. They solved them without calling or blaming FG. Wike and Fayose also solved theirs without much ado.
It is the issue of TERRORISM (Boko Haram) after it was allowed to fester for so many years and became a national crises that the opposition held GEj's government for. WHY? Because it took so long, thousands of lives and millions of people displaced, bombs going off everywhere, we were been searched to enter church and bank that year. And the most important, the state governors declared their helplessness, but the then FG was denying the incidences and calling it lies, propaganda etc. We remember Patience Jonathan video. These are the issues.
The governors are not unarmed, stop all this nonsense. Even your next door neighbour can carry police to arrest you if the need arises and he "knows his way". We've seen even pastors, actors and musicians arresting people on this street. But you are somehow painting this narrative that a state governor is as harmless and helpless as a primary school pupil. But if they want to they can pick you up for saying something they don't like, or crossing the express, or throwing thrash on the road, right? They can come demolish your street this week or they cannot?
But they are so powerless and paralysed and can only make unfounded allegations and political motivations when criminals kill their people. Go and find out how Tinubu settled herdsmen and butchers crises in Lagos, or students carrying sharp knives to kill other students during sports competition, or how Fashola stopped menacing armed robbers from robbing a single bank successfully for years in Lagos state. They were in opposition BTW and never ran to beg OBJ or GEJ. We never saw them crying on TV hopelessly.
You say people are land grabbing. It means you know them and the land grabbed. When are you going to the land to pick them up? Since you know the perpetrators, what stopped you from ATTEMPTING to arrest them, even if it is just two? Let the world confirm once and for all. You cannot just claim politicians in Abuja are causing insecurity. Give proof, give evidence, simple. Solve problems. A good leader solves problems, not complain.
i am very happy they are in the same party, you guys would have used it as excuse.

in your post that I quoted, can you show me you stated the facts that tinubu stated?
You said "please come and defend tinubu"
i said defend what, What exactly do you want defended here? He has stated the facts.
Now you are glibly asking for the facts.
Fester means to undergo or exist in a state of progressive deterioration

Tinubu said that the festering boko haram attacks on the North East and massacre of innocent citizens is concrete proof that Nigeria has no government.
What part of it is wrong? NONE. Your now trying to compare it to what is happening in Benue is either high-level ignorance or mischief.
1. Benue is one state, not a whole region, North East- FACT
2. The NE crises was caused by Boko Haram, a world known terror group, it is not same with Benue- FACT
3. The NE crises claimed thousands of lives annually, and displaced millions of Nigerians, the Benue issue has not. - FACT
4. The NE governors had become helpless and incessantly called for help from the FG against the terror group, the Benue government has not exhausted its resources, neither do they need FG help to solve their problem. Like the governor stated, they are making progress. For one, the governor did not say that the attacks are from outside but was blaming politicians from Benue state. You can watch him here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0ESD84B7I8
He also said that there was good progress been made. His case is like that of having to call the MD of a bank or MTN to solve a customer problem. There are engineers and customer care inbetween to deal with that. It has not reached the issue. This is what the President clearly showed in his speech yesterday.

Now, show me which of the stated FACTs above is untrue.
Also, What are your solutions if i may ask? You have dodged the questions twice already, evident that you don't want or have answers, you just want to oppose, most likely because you are paid to.

PoliticsRe: NGF, FG Move To Tackle Food Crisis by Image123(m): 9:13am On Jun 19, 2025
Na wake up dem just dey wake up, good morning o. Food basket of the nation dey play politics with him state. Provide evidence, show workings, not just inciting people. Like the famous words of Tinubu, "Where are the cows?" Where are the herdsmen, are they spirits?
Every death, robbery, kidnap, murder is been blamed on herdsmen. Every other criminal has become born again ba? Don't get me wrong, fulani herdsmen don't value human lives including theirs, they are mostly illiterate and carrying weapons around since 19zz. They are in EVERY state of the country and doing their so called herding, even and mostly for locals. Most of those your chiefs, kings, governors, senators, politicians and rich men have cows been tended to by herdsmen. But to now blame all the country's insecurity on them without any proactivity is not the way. THINK. Get solutions, solve problems.
Again for the life of me, i cannot imagine a state governed by Wike or Tinubu in such helplessness.

lexy2014:
timemanager image123 helinues zero8zero please come and defend tinubu
What exactly do you want defended here? He has stated the facts. When insecurity is allowed to fester without proactive solution, who should be blamed? Were you not born in 2014 when the whole North East was an eye sore of insecurity? When government was denying attacks, kidnaps and deaths on national TV? The whole country was having bombs going off in bus stops, markets and churches for God's sake? Did you not read in case you were a toddler then? To be conservative, we had over 7000 people killed by boko haram in 2014 alone, and millions displaced. i was been searched in the bank and church and school, are you okay? That was terrorism.
That was clearly beyond the governors and the governors accepted so. They were crying out for help and weapons and intelligence from the government. That is not in any way near what is happening in Benue for decades now. We have reports from as far back as 1960 and 1964 about the issues in Benue. We were alive when OBJ sent in soldiers there. Point is it did not start today. Now to politicise it instead of address it is very wrong. Ortom did this all through his time and now this father governor is starting it. That was why the President came hard on him yesterday. The father of the state is not just there to pray and collect money and blame FG and his godfather for state problems. That is the food basket of the nation for God's sake. If his head was working properly, a tuber of yam should not be as expensive as it currently is. His state is going comatose and he is busy trading blame. And you want to politicise it by force by fire. What are your solutions if i may ask?

undecided

You are the same fellow who was arguing that people should not go to their farmsteads to avoid being slaughtered by herdsmen. And yet you said nothing about tackling the herdsmen themselves.

You and all those who make light of the suffering of the people in Benue (and other places in this country) will get the reward you so richly deserve - from Nature and Justice working in unison.

It is only a matter of time.
May your curse return directly to you and your family in Jesus name. For what? On top NL discussion? Who born you, who you? From where to where? This foolish fellow is referring to some discussion that i even barely remember making, likely months ago, and connecting commonsense to making light the suffering of people.
i maintain it, your life is more important than your land. There is absolutely no sense or wisdom in a harmless farmer going to farm alone in a place that HE KNOWS he will be killed by some illiterate herdsmen for cows. Why would anyone farm or do any business unprotected because he has right? Is right more important than your life? Who is to tackle herdsmen or criminals? Is it the harmless farmer? How does that come in here? Have i not clearly insisted that the governor is failing by not tackling insecurity in his state? Or what is your superior solution than resort to curses and politics? If you have nothing to say, keep quiet instead of bringing curses on yourself and direct family.

the attackers are said to be coming from other states and even from other countries. Its a national problem. In fact a national shame!
"are said" you say? Why are they not massacring all over Nigeria then? At least Benue is not bordering Niger or Chad. Benue is bordered by Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Nasarawa, Taraba, Kogi and Cameroon. Why are we not having these national shame in these other places? It's the failure of leadership that i mentioned. You cannot have Wike or Fashola as governor and this nonsense will be happening. If you solve your internal problems, there will be no crack or room for external attacks. But if you choose to continue politicising your problem, we will continue. No wahala.

Do you know that the president can order the withdrawal of a governor's security detail?

You'll be saying this rubbish if the police was decentralized to state levels or if we had standing regional law enforcement agents that answer to governors.

So, who would the governor protect his state with?
Hunters and vigilante?
Ask Wike or Fashola that nonsense. Even pastors give orders to arrest people that do anyhow to them. Is it president arresting people that throw thrash on the road in Lagos? Or if there's armed robbery, you need to call Aso Rock to tackle it. But in your theory, the state governor is as powerless as a primary 2 pupil. Who cares about what he says.

It's not his duty my dear. It's the duty of the state government and those in the state. i just dey hail my Jagaban. It has not really reached his turn. When the state is ready for peace, they'll sit up.
i cannot imagine Tinubu or Wike or Fayose or Fashola as governor of a state and looking helplessly calling FG and Pope to help them.
Is it Fashola that was giving annual report of no single successful bank robbery in Lagos that will be waiting for GEJ's phone call or Wike that will not use people's nose to blow whistle for disturbing his sleep.
How many tribes, kings and local governments does Tinubu know in Benue up to the state government? As a priest, the governor doesn't know how to broker peace in his own state? He can't summon all the heads and read the riot act to them if they want to go quickly to meet God.

You don't understand the post at all.
You are talking about minimum wage of 1960 and minimum wage of 2025.The post didn't say they should be the same amount, but it's talking about VALUE.
That's,the purchasing power.
Compare what that 1960 minimum wage can buy in 1960 with what the 2025 minimum wage can buy in 2025.
What the post is trying to show in essence is that, assuming that, that 1 naira was the minimum wage in 1960,that it can buy 20 bags of rice then, and in 2025,the minimum wage is #70,000 and that it cannot buy even one bag of rice.
It's a simple basic economic theory that even a learner should understand.
Even me wey be a science student wey no be economy student or even art don understand am fast fast but some of una wey claim to be economy or accounting students de thing dey enter una for left ear comot for right ear.
As you talk say some people no go school here,e come be like say nah you wey no go de school sef.
You clearly showed a lack of understanding and very wild assumption. You claim to be a science student, can you be exact? What was the minimum wage and why is it tied to bags of rice? If you insist on the bags, how many bags could the minimum wage purchase? What percentage of the country was educated and getting up to this minumum wage, then and now. That is how science works, dear.
