She is a Nigerian, and it's no problem. That's why we exhort them not to spoil our names abroad or online. The usual excuse is that it's government corruption that spoils our name. It's not because of government that we're banned and denied visas, or asked to step aside for special search and interrogation. It is because you are scamming, doing drugs, doing cultism, fighting and stealing. When it's a good thing, you don't want it to be Nigerian, you want it to be Amaka, our rich tribal culture. This is a disease, a plague. |
godofuck231:We still have one of the cheapest fuel in the continent and world. |
PRINCESSFCFANSs:Crude oil produces fuel. Dangote imports crude oil. Fuel prices increase. |
5starMan:There's what is called budget. Different ministries and organizations are owing money in Nigeria and globally. While government is a continuum, it's not the current government that owes the bulk of the arrears. Still, they approved over 50% of the money to be paid in the meantime. It's crazy, unrealistic and illogical to expect the current government to solve every problem 100% within two years, especially if you really know where we're coming from. If we're talking of government owing current salaries, i understand the anger and even impatience. But being so unreasonable over what started more than 5years and is being solved, with implementation of minimum wage done. Haba. Like i said, it's still government job and debt, they are wrong to allow the strike and for this long. But to blindly say they are deaf and dumb and mad and bring up every allegation like they are doing nothing is insincere. You are entitled to your opinions still, and so am i. |
5starMan:Thanks for the honesty. By saying TWO wrongs in the first instance, i already submitted that both the strike and the protest are wrong. The thread is primarily about the protest. As for the content creator guy, it's common knowledge that he has numerous personal court cases against him, and is currently on bail. Exploiting kids for content is totally past it for me. He can call the government out a thousand other ways, it's what he does for a living. BTW, the government hasn't been deaf, it's the teachers that seem deaf and inconsiderate of the students if you follow the case. Do you even know why they're on strike? Chances are No, you don't. But government must be wrong, we're all hungry and angry and ready to destroy everything and each other. Among many demands, the teachers are asking for implementation of minimum wage, it's been approved. The only reason why they're on strike is they want their arrears to be paid before they enter class. Labour is about sensible and reasonable negotiations, not holding everyone to ransom. It's the students that lose at the end because government workers will still get their arrears anyway. It's not a fight for the pupils by any means. |
i will talk to Benue the food basket of the nation again, you dey fall hands. i expect vision and results from 'men of God', not excuses and politics. If you are so sure of your excuses, name names, bring out the defaulters and land grabbers. Let's see some evidence of the perpetrators. |
patrickcollins:No, he's fighting for his own self. This has nothing to do with the kids future. The kids appeared more sensible than him. He got frustrated at a point that they didn't say their names. Wike implemented the wage the teachers requested, they are asking for arrears to be paid before they resume work. Who's fighting for who? |
nedekid:Wike intervened, releasing around ₦4.1 billion in April 2025 to support wage implementation. However, teachers remain on strike, demanding full arrears and implementation. Negotiating is the best way to go about this, no other person is losing here except the kids. The teachers should follow the content creator to fight their fight, not kids. |
anonimi:Is Atiku old enough to think for himself and act responsibly or he's still being mentored 30 years later? |
patrickcollins:i am not comfortable with kids not going to school, i am also uncomfortable with kids being exploited. Protests can be done reasonably and logically. |
5starMan:It is wrong for schools to be on strike. How exactly do you want me to constructively correct the first wrong doer here again? Nothing to be intellectual about morality and exploitation of kids. What is wrong is wrong. The two are wrong, do you agree? |
fabolouz1:It's totally different from what Mr Lamido Lamidini is saying. |
anonimi:Tosan Harriman is in the best position to answer this as an eye witness. Atiku corroborates his part though. His mentor, Shehu Musa Yar’Adua convinced him, at a critical SDP meeting. To prevent a split vote that could favour Kingibe, to ensure party unity, and boost Abiola’s chances across regions. https://nationaldailyng.com/why-i-stepped-down-for-mko-abiola-in-1993-atiku/?utm_source=chatgpt.com He still tells the North to vote for him because he's a northerner, it's plausible he did same at the primaries before the stalemate where his mentor came in. |
smtx:Attention has a cost/price. This price is wrong and too high. |
Hohaiiiode:These children are only been used and abused. Like i said TWO WRONGS, meaning it's wrong for children to be on strike. |
12345baba:Who are the people sacrificing themselves, these little kids? |
anonimi:Ask Wike that. It doesn't erase the fact that it's unreasonable for anyone to use children for protests. |
Wow, using children for protest? This is so unreasonable. “S for Suegbe, T for Tinubu, W for Wike”, VDM called out, while the children repeated. Two wrongs don't make one right. No one will correct him, but they'll come out to lament if the police or government does anything. This fellow looks for attention so bad, it seems he's trying to hide something under government persecution. Whatever he does, people will say government is getting back at him or setting him up. |
panafrican:Those are not believers but Nigerians. No believer will buy Jerusalem sand. |
Not much has changed about 32 years later, you know. |
I was a national delegate to the SDP convention in Jos.i was directly copted by MKO himself to join Jonathan Zwingina in the Campaign communications Dept when he came to Tafawa Balewa College to speak with delegates kept there. MKO was miffed when he heard me speak. Atiku and Kingibe had at that time moved many of my Delta state delegates separately to Bauchi to avoid poaching. MKO sent his aides to get to me and surprisingly changed my accommodation to Hill station hotel. After we won MKO began to reconcile the party but in the process allowed the military arranged NWC which included Tony Anenih and Sule Lamido to subsist. The military knew they were not going to handover. They already had their plot in place. But then IBB was at his wits end. He had no tricks left in his bag. Besides, during the primaries Atiku and kingibe were already blackmailing delegates not to waste their votes insisting that if MKO wins the military will not handover. Their argument was that the military establishment then can only handover to a northerner. So it was obvious they knew the game plan.https://x.com/TosanHarrimanDr/status/1937053963917963625?t=DEt5LFM2AEbASjdM-V3i4g&s=19 Dr. Tosan Harriman is a prominent Nigerian academic and voice for Niger Delta narratives. He bridges rigorous scholarship and media activism—teaching, speaking, writing, and engaging in socio-political debates to shed light on the interplay between regional identity and national policymaking.

Guestmale:Exactly. Like i have always said, they have no plans or alternate solutions except to get Tinubu out of power. |
The comedians are banking on mistakes and gullibility of people voting ADC instead of APC. Very analog set of people. |
Omo, Lamido Lamidini don go find trouble wey pass am oh. We know what Kingibe that was supposed to be Abiola's vice did, we're not complaining. But for political gain, this man wan distort history to give Tinubu a bad name. No fear of God at all. |
Another one bites the dust, politics is local. Can you imagine, every single week, there's a leader, senator, governor, etc joining the APC. The jokers will still tell us that they, Nigerians will decide the election and that APC rigged the election results. Are these on ground leaders detecting to APC for the past months from Angola? |
Much better than nothing as was in the past. This is 2025 but sore losers will complain, it's destiny. Maybe because money will be stolen, there should be no more budget again or what is the point of complaint without alternative or superior solutions and ideas? |
This bros is trying hard to do his job but silence is usually the best answer for the foolish. Some people don't know that Abiola had a 'good' relationship with IBB and his boys before contesting and winning elections. It's like Dangote having a relationship with the government. Abiola and his boys never esperedit. Now revisionists want to twist history for the gullible and ignorant. |
DarkLover:Don't disappoint them, work hard so they are proud that you are doing well. Honour them by calling them as they grow older. If practicable, help and bless their children. Pray for them. |
That's like 4,800 people in the eyes of some herdsmen because 1cow is like 150 human lives according to some reports. Na wa oh. Murefa, Murefaaaaa. |
It's not a requirement, though it's good for your health sometimes. It's a two way thing. If you forget, it helps with trust and moving on. If you don't forget, you are twice shy. Even Jesus remembers He was crucified despite forgiving right there on the cross. God forgives our sins and treats us like we never committed them, that's justification and it's by faith. |
omoredia:i go lie you ni? Don't say that i told you oh, Tinubu is the Jagaban. The master knows the game, he's in the game, update. https://youtube.com/shorts/O2yOluE__Us?si=JYFUFf_k9cilbFAV
