Before you criticize Messi have it in mind that he single handedly carried Argentina to Russia when he scored that hattrick
Go and watch Portugal vs Sweden world cup qualifier how Ronaldo single handedly brought Portugal to Brazil world cup. Superb hatrick from Ronaldo when Portugal nearly lost the match. Ronaldo have been there and done that. So don't bring that one here.

So yesterday was the first time Ronaldo was playing a world cup match abi? Messi had a bad day like every other big players do sometimes. Did you watched the last world cup? no other Argentina player scored more than a goal but he scored 4 times...Before yesterday Ronaldo had just 3 world cup goals now he has 6 so stop saying Messi haven't been raising his game for Argentina. Portugal are a better team than Argentina.. without Ronaldo for most of the game at the last euro final they still defeated France...they are more organized than Argentina. When Messi don't turn up for Argentina they become bunch of mediocres. They narrowly qualified to this world cup because of Him. The team don't play to his strength...it's sad this might just be his last outing with his national team

Politics › Re: Rains, Major Challenge To Power Transmission, Distribution – Fashola by imam07: 7:47am On Jun 11, 2018
Omooba77:
The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has warned that the raining season will pose a major challenge to the transmission and distribution arms of the power industry.

According to him, although the rains will benefit hydro power stations, it will also pose some difficulties in the running of the distribution and transmission networks.

Fashola’s warning to operators in the sector was captured in the minutes of the 27th monthly meeting for stakeholders in the industry, which was obtained by our correspondent from the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing in Abuja.

The minister “advised operators to prepare for the raining season, which would provide more water supply to the hydro stations and pose major challenges to transmission and distribution networks.”

In this regard, he appealed to the operators to promptly issue notices when there were known damages that would interfere with power supply and send maintenance team out to repair and replace damaged equipment or clear fallen trees.

The minister urged the operators to also send information to the public on multiple platforms of conventional and social media to report faults that they might not be aware of, adding that the operators should painstakingly resolve all customer complaints and provide better services where needed.

On remittances required for the generation of power through the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company, the minutes stated that the NBET received only 25.43 per cent payment from the distribution companies for the energy it received from the generation companies for the March 2018 cycle.

It stated that late payments from the January cycle amounting to 2.45 per cent of the March invoice was also received by the NBET, bringing the total payment percentage for February to 27.88 per cent.

The power distribution firms have continued to remit below 30 per cent of what is expected of them by the NBET, a development that has led to severe liquidity crisis in the sector.

“The NBET also received $6.9m in international customers’ payments from the market operator, which was paid to the generation companies,” the minutes added.

In its report, the market operator stated that the Discos received 81.95 per cent of the total energy sent out by the generation firms, while international customers and other direct customers received 8.08 per cent, thereby creating a transmission loss factor of 9.97 per cent in the month of March 2018.

From what I read it means she only love her children. She diverted her love for the husband to the children. This is the Genesis of her problem. This is what is happening in marriages now. After giving birth, the wife stops loving their husband and only focus on the child. If the husband doesn't see the kind of love he was getting from her so there will be problem.

My friend go and sleep. No one is saying bukola sent them to rob. But bukola have link with them. They are political thugs for the apc in kwara. If u want to deceive non kwarans, u can't deceive those that know about kwara very well. We all know this guy's very well. They are cult and armed robbers. The problem of kwara state govt is that they always embrace and employ school drop out. Most of kwara state workers are school drop out without valid certificate. Especially most masquerading as politicians. 50% of present local government chairmen and SA's do not have valid school result. So this is not new. Why are men becoming so aggressive lately ? I thought you guys are meant to be tolerant sad what's happening herehuh
The truth of what is causing this domestic violence is what is laid down in the bible concerning husband and wife has been turned upside down. The holy bible says man love your wife and you wife, respect your husband. What is happening in the world today is not what is in the holy book. A wife no longer respect the husband so how will the husband love her wife. The bible is the marriage manual. Many are going into marriage without applying the manual principles. Women now are days are now hiding their money from the husband. Wives now turn their kids, her pastor and her parents intro their husband and rendering the original husband useless.
There is no devil anywhere causing this domestic violence. We are the devil. A man can go to any length to cause wahala if his wife disrespect him. Religion is no more a guiding factor in our marriage any longer. Going to church is like a tradition. Many go to church but not to christ. We go to church so that people we see us going. What a pretense.
In a marriage where the wife will be show the husband she is on her right definitely a fight will end this.
If you want peace to reign in your marriage, follow the truth-the bible principle about marriage. Man love your wife and wife respect your husband. Even if he is younger than you.
Politics › Re: #nottooyoungtorun Bill: Saraki, Senate Deserve Lots Of Accolades by imam07: 8:57pm On May 31, 2018
jadesoletee:
#NotTooYoungToRun Bill: Saraki, Senate deserve lots of accolades

Nigeria democracy recorded a historical and landmark victory on Thursday with the assent to the much celebrated and agitated Not too Young to Run Bill, ten months after the Senate took a hhistorically bold step to pass it into law.

It would not be out of place to say since Nigeria returned to democratic government in 1999, no bill has had this high level of impression and received so much attention like the just assented Not Too Young to Run Bill and no Senate has been so effective and efficient like the present Senate. This is not unconnected with the fact that it is a bill that directly affects the majority of the populace, the youths who make up about 60% of the total population of the nation.

The Bill is an amendment of Section 65 (1), 106(b), 131 (b), 177 (b) of the constitution. Prior to the amendment, the Constitution required that anyone vying for a seat at the National Assembly must attain the age of 35 years for Senate and 30 years for House of Representatives; section 106 (b) stipulated that a candidate must attain the age of 30yrs before contesting for a seat at the state House of Assembly; Section 131 (b) pegged the age of 40 years for candidates vying for the office of the President; while Section 177(b) pegged Age of governorship candidates as for 35 years.

From this, it is clear that the Nigerian constitution was deliberately configured to disenfranchise the majority of the population, who are the youths from age 18 to 28 years from seeking political office at their prime, which is why many take solace in serving as political errand boys.

With this amendment, passage and signing into law, age of a Presidential aspirant has been reduced from 40 years to 30 years; Governors have been reduced from 35 years to 30 years; Senate from 35 years to 30 years; House of Representatives from 30 years to 25 years; and House of Assembly which was hitherto at 30 years has been reduced to 25 years.

Kudos must be given to the present Senate under the leadership of Senator Bukola Saraki for daring all odds and listening to the voice of reasoning to lift the barrier that has cut off so many young people with intellect, vigour and passion to advance the course of the nation through public elective office.

It would be recalled that the bill, which was finally signed into law by the President on Thursday, after so much appeal and advocacy by Civil Society Organisations, was passed into law ten months ago, July 2017. The Senate's passage of the Bill gave it the needed fillip to move forward and see the light of the day, it could have been killed on arrival at the Senate if the Senate is not truly committed to its success.

The Nigerian Senate demonstrated a high level of responsibility and commitment to the inclusion of a very crucial segment of the nation's population in Democratic governance and not the popular use as political thugs and attack dogs.

It is also a huge demonstration that the present Senate led by Saraki is truly committed to youth development and not just mouthing the commitment. It is walking the talk. And this is evident with the high number of young appointees working as aides to the Senate President.

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, was also quoted to have said that the passage and assent to the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill, will be the first phase in the journey for more youth inclusion in politics. Advising the youths "to use same energy that you applied to the ‘Not Too Young to Run’, to push for free and fair elections. When you have the voice, you have the numbers."

While we continue to give lots of accolades to the Senate President and the Senate for the removal of the major barrier serving as impediment to youths inclusion in governance, the ball is now in the court of the young people to fully take charge of this bill to their advantage
Thse people do not know that Bukola saraki did it because of his young son who wants to go for political post. His son his entering house of senate next election. So u people who does not know about this should be quiet.

I think all of us need to condemn this while also seeking further clarification.

On New Year's eve 2004, a woman ran to her elder sister in Church with some bruises and a swollen mouth. I tell you, I personally was livid with rage and won't think twice to have shot the 'evil' husband dead. The sister became angry and got a Mopol to arrest her 'evil' brother-in-law. On getting there, they discovered the man with knife wounds to his hands and the rope with which the wife nearly strangled him to death with because of 'mere' argument. When the sister found out, she nearly arrest her sibling for that deception.

I think our world needs to be a bit more careful when it comes to marital conflicts. Violence is a very bad thing we all need to condemn and we must always get to the root of the matter so as to know the full truth and avoid poor judgement. If the man has no physical marks, we must condemn him in no small terms but we must see that man first to be able to see though this matter. Manipulation is a possibility which we must be wary of.
with my my experience and what I have seen, not heard. I have since stoped making an hasty conclusion on domestic violence.
