Threebear: But more common in the UK outside of their country and the US than anywhere else in the world. Definitely not common in Nigeria. Regardless it does not change the fact that she currently lives in the uk. She was born there but didn't spend all her life there. So you can't expect her accent to be pure. However she chooses to speak, the important thing is that people can hear and understand what she says. Anything else is just nitpicking irrelevances |

But this is worrying though. How can Nigeria build an economy that can compete with the rest of the world, if our forex policy does not allow basic pos or PayPal transactions across the world. Are we in North Korea? This is one of the reasons why we call this govt. clueless. All in the name of fighting corruption we are throwing out the baby along with the bath water. God help us o 6 Likes |

b0dnel: The exchange rate you see on Amazon and the actual one the bank gives are very different. Trust me on this. I learnt that last year. Amazon was quoting 300 back then, but bank collected 420 something from my account. My current account is the one directly linked to my naira Mastercard. I paid in the money I thought was the equivalent, but the transaction did not pull through. Had to call customer service, was told my cash in current account is not enough. Their exchange rate is blah blah blah. They use parallel market rate. I had to add more cash to the current account. This was back when the spending limit was $300 or so. Just informing you, cos the actual rate the bank will charge you is parallel market rate, not the rate you see on Amazon site. You can verify when the bill comes. 400 naira to the pound can never be given by any bank right now. They are too greedy! |

sarrki: But what he said is it wrong? Why should he shut up? Your loyalty should first be to Nigeria before any president or govt. Ah ah. Speak the truth for once instead of being a sycophant for what ever reason. No one is infallible. Even your god Buhari! Learn to put Nigeria first. Everyone is affected by the current situation. Nigeria is going down the drain much rapidly and you're still here challenging those who speak the truth cos of your so called support for one man. Open your eyes! Your hypocrisy is too much abeg! |
