Politics / Re: “The Results Are Blurry”. INEC Witness Admits In Court Under Cross Examination. by ImperialYoruba: 7:59pm On Jul 04, 2023
Penguin2:
At the resumed hearing of the Petition of the Labour Party and Peter Obi against INEC, Tinubu, Shettima and APC, INEC was finally able to open their defence as their witness did not have “domestic issues” today.

INEC witness today was the same Deputy Director of ICT at INEC, Lawrence Bayode, who testified for INEC in PDP’s case.

After adopting his witness statement, it was time for cross examinations by parties.

When it the turn of the Labour Party, cross examination was handled by PIN Ikwueto SAN.

First, under cross examination, PIN Ikwueto asked the witness why INEC went ahead to deploy the IREV for the elections if it had “vulnerabilities” (recall the many claims of threats of hackers and all by INEC and government agencies).

To this the witness replied that the IREV “had no vulnerability.”

Furthermore into the cross examination, Mr Ikwueto handed an INEC certified IREV result sheet and asked, “what is the score of APC in this result sheet?”

INEC Witness: ”I don’t know, the results are blurry.”

And that was how INEC admitted in court that its document is blurry.

Now, the question is where did it get the numbers to announce the winner it announced?

Remember: ”The aim is not to trust the judiciary, the aim is to overwhelm them with evidence”.

Irev result showed to him are blurry. Result used to declare winner is EC8 and BVAS, not irev.

Infact, you can take irev offline and integrity of result of the election is still intact.

The only way you can change the integrity is to manipulate EC8 and BVAS.

Petition should have focused on the integrity of the BVAS and EC8, not on irev.

Very nice try, please use a software to generate it again.

You started the process map with a decision point, instead start with something like, Candidate present self for verification.
Also the error is not even between C and D, it is only on part of D.
The upload to INEC server may have worked, it is the iREV upload that has been confirmed not to have worked in real time.

Nice one

Decision point is directly below the statement box, you are incorrect for calling it the starting point.

The flow is concerned with the contention over data, not candidate eligibility.

Irev is just a mirror of bvas. If the mirror failed to reflect the object, then go to the object and inspect if its data matches EC8.

Debating transmission, whether manual or electronic, is only technical. When you transmit something it means you changed its state and gave it a new state or dimensional value. Its a technicality for legal argument because the dimensional does not alter originality in the object data itself.

So if the volume of data in BVAS and EC8 is 10million, whether you transmit the BVAS info to server or not, whether you upload to irev or not, the 10million does not change. To validate the accuracy you go to source - BVAS and EC8.

All these fanciful jibberish about transmission and upload and Irev and server is bojuboju...na smokescreen.

What i presented in this flowchart gives clarity to those who know and have followed tribunal and petitions.

Politics / Flowchart To Explain INEC Process by ImperialYoruba: 4:59pm On Jul 04, 2023
The petition in court, and noise about stolen mandate hinges on gap between C and D.

Few questions to ask -

1. The data in C, does it match data at origin in B?

2. If D is inaccurate, is it possible to still use data in C to validate winner of election.

3. If D and C are both inaccurate, drop back to origin in B where the data was collected. Each party agent representing their candidates signed and authenticated the form to be correct and accurate. Use Form EC8 to validate winner.

4. In addition to challenging gap between C and D, which is a technical ground, Peter Obi must bring BVAS entries and FormEC8 to court as evidence to show tampering and denial of his rightful place as the winner.

5. Court declared a disclaimer when the petition opened and said ruling will not be on technicalities. Peter Obi need hard evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was cheated and the election was grossly a fraud, and as victim of that fraud he is begging the court for reliefs, which can include a disqualification of INEC as an unbiased referee, a void of the election itself and the erasure of all statutory rituals so far attained since May 29th.

Given what LO and Obi presented in their petition, it is not tenable to substitute Obi as winner. He has no mandate, it is all an illusion.

Tinubu told you months before election that he will select his cabinet and administration based on merit and competencies. Did he not say that in public? He did...and yet you voted for him. Then deal with it.

The criteria for working in this administration is competency, not ethnicity or religion.

Politics / Re: New Lagos Property Bill : Obasa Should Step Down - Rowland Okorie by ImperialYoruba: 9:03pm On Jun 14, 2023
maziogechi:
Democracy they say is the government of the people, by the people and for the people irrespective of their tribes, religion and culture.

But for Obasa, the reverse seems to be the case as he continues to victimise those he felt are not in line or support his political ideology according to the Ceo Equity Concepts Rowland Okorie who lashed out at the Rt. honourable.

Someone should remind the speaker we are in 2023 not slavery era.Never been recorded in history where an igbo man is claiming ownership of Lagos he stated.

According to Rowland, Obasa stated this in his acceptance speech as a third-term speaker of the Lagos parliament and the inauguration of the 10th Lagos assembly on Tuesday that Lagos state parliament will pass new property, and business ownership laws in the state due to ethno-political and religious division that happened during the last 2023 general elections.

On different occasions I have called him to condemn MC Olumo for his heinous act to a tribe he always choose to turn blind eyes to the truth.

In the presidential and governorship elections, particularly, many Igbos supported the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the LP for the state governorship election respectively.

In his words, he said "In my opinion I think Obasa should step down as the speaker because he has already proven that he is not a healer, he has no respect for the rule of law nor for our great investors from around the world and the entire Nigerian people. As a legal head he is supposed to enact laws that would protect and unite us instead the newly elected 3rd term speaker of House of Rep Lagos Hon Idowu Obasa proposed enacting discriminatory laws with potentials of converting all properties belonging to the non indigenous to indigenous."

Rowland Okorie calls it a dangerous move that reminds the igbos about the abandoned properties tagged to properties belonging to igbos after the civil war. Igbos should really wake up. This move is dangerous and unacceptable.

Members of his cabinet should have proposed several youth empowerment programs that would create jobs and generate millions of naira for the country and the state, but he rather went this way and never attended any. In my thoughts one condition for the 3rd time in a row for Obasa speakers was agreeing to enact a law that would discriminate against the igbos.

"Sometimes when you look at every move by men in the position of power it feels like there is a war against the Igbos. The 2023 elections really went further to expose how dangerous the hate against a tribe could lead to division of the whole nation. Obasa never condemned Mc Olomo after he threatened to kill Igbos. If we must live in peace we must follow great examples of powerful nations like America. The speaker of the House of Rep in Dallas Texas was suspended and impeached or even great Kenya." Ex-president is indicted and all we do is sit and watch our leaders commit crime in our very face.

"It is time investors look towards the eastern part of the nation especially the Igbo states Abia, Anambra. Ebonyin ,Enugu and Imo for more investment opportunities. The people's house has turned into a tribal field. I'm calling on all Igbos to stop buying lands and building massive structures in Lagos while I condemn the Obasa Speakership. Lagos investors should channel their investments toward the eastern.

Okorie, go preach that in SE. Tell your States of Assemblies in Iboland to protect Ebonyi person that was denied property rights in Anambra, or the widower that was evicted, along with her children, from her husband house so the brother in laws can take ownership. Go tell your people in Imo to allow osu rights to own property.

Married men do not loose interest in their Mrs. No. Man is an adventure animal. New adventures attract their interest.

I was waiting my turn to pay for purchased item at the cash register the other day, then I felt a succulent, nice, smooth contact on my biceps. It was brief but enough to scatter my brain. So I leaned back hoping to regain the contact, unsuccessful. When i turned back to look her face was turned away but the boobs are irresistible. This clearly is an adventure, and I want to see where it leads. We rode together out of the mall parking lot.

Now, i dey my own jeje, she bring yanga touch me. This is what happens to lots of men.

Why would Arabs sit down and learn cultures and practises from people they considered inferior and took as slaves?

Is that how colonisation works? Who colonised who?

Did the British start dressing like Africans or the other way around?

Check your mentions, I've sent a few links

Arabs were not origins of Mecca. They came from elsewhere to settle in Mecca. Their practise of orisha worship came with them on that migration. As orisha worshippers, they did not keep slaves. They began keeping slaves after accepting Islam.

Were Arabs wearing Abaya before Islam?

I need you to answer that.

Most Arabs are muslims and not Jews or Christians.
Why should I separate hijabs and Abaya from Muslims when wearing those items are requirements in Islam? Those items were cultural before they became muslims but now it's has become religious.

Christians may veil but they in no way need to veil like a Muslim does. Hijab and abayas are not requirements in Christianity.

If Africans are dressing like Arabs, an Arab muslim taught them that, not a christian.

Yoruba's and other coastal West Africans aren't desert people so have no need to dress like that.

Why are you trying to find a link if you say they aren't related? What is your point?

Can you please address the links I've given? All you're doing is talking based on your feelings with nothing to back it up.

If Africans are dressisng like Arabs

Look, dont piss me off. sad

Could Africans have taught Arabs to dress the way they do? Have you considered that Arabs may have learnt mode of dressing in Abaya from Africans?

When we talk of Arabs introducing Islam to West Africa sef, who were those Arabs that pioneered the expansion and transformed cultures? What did they look like, what was their culture, their belief system?

I dont see link, repost.

They are going to call it boubou, not abaya since they don't speak Arabic.
But Boubou is an africanized abaya.
Muslims on the East Coast are also wearing it. The common denominator is Islam.

If you're saying Agbadas don't come from Islam. Why are you saying it's the cognate of Abaya?

Why are you linking them together if you insist they aren't related?

Please address the links I've given.

It is origin of words and etymology, nothing to do with religion.

So before religion of Islam people existed. Those people had faith, they had culture and they had language. Calling God Allah was part of their faith. There was nothing called Islam at that time.

Arabs are not all muslims, there are Arabs that practice judaism, there are Arabs that are christians and Arabs that are muslims. When you see Arab woman in hijab, she is not necessarily a muslim. She could be christian.

So as a first step, i want you to separate Abaya from being a muslim term. The way, in above example, you will separate hijab from being a muslim culture.

There is linguistic link in all the expressions and imagery of Agbada/Abaya and Buba/Boubou. They sound more related than unrelated. In image they look the same, and with a single alteration you could erase the difference between them. Do you agree?

Someone should tell Senator Yari that he should not allow the same greediness of Atiku over Presidential election to blindfold him

LP is not bothered at this time whether the entire Senate is Muslim, just as long Tinubu endorsement in Akpadio, a christian, end in a loss.

After Yari wins, LP will feel good defeating Tinubu. Then next day they will protest the islamization of Nigeria

Historical trends have shown that information and culture in West Africa usually spreads from the far west sahelian countries (Mali/ Senegal) This happened with Jellof Rice & Islam,

And do yorubas really think this didn't happen with Agbada?

In regards to your question on iro & buba. Have a look at this:

https://fashionhistory.fitnyc.edu/boubou/#:~:text=%E2%80%9CIt%20has%20been%20suggested%20that,until%20the%20late%20nineteenth%20century.

Whose historical trends?

The advantage in Western Sahel over rest of West Africa is written record, nothing more.
But Yoruba also had records of history, it was done in art forms. The advantage of one over the other is what gave upper hand to Western Sahel, but it does not in anyway put origin of Agbada at their doorstep.

See, Arabs call flowing gowns Abaya. To follow the migratory trend you alluded to,,,,

1. Arabs took Islamic culture to Sahel with Abaya

2. Western sahel call it Boubou, not Abaya.

3. Western sahel brought Islam to Yoruba. So where did Yoruba get the idea of Agbada, a cognate with Abaya? Neither fulani, nor Hausa or even Kanuri call it Abaya. These are all Islamic culture around us Did the language term "Abaya" lept from Arabia and singled out Yoruba as its destination?

It doesnt take rock science to understand what happened. grin
