PoliticsBREAKING!: Turkey Downs Russian Warplane Near Syria Border by Inception(op): 11:41am On Nov 24, 2015
Nato-member Turkey has shot down a Russian warplane in the first time the alliance and Moscow have come to blows directly over the crisis in Syria.

Ankara and Moscow gave conflicting accounts of the incident, which appears to have occurred in an area near the Turkish-Syrian border straddling Iskenderun and Latakia.

The Turkish military said it scrambled two F-16 fighter jets after a plane penetrated Turkish airspace in the province of Hatay at 9.20am on Tuesday morning, warning it to leave 10 times in five minutes before it was shot down.

It was unclear if the plane was shot down by the fighter jets or by ground-based defence systems.

Russia’s defence ministry, in a series of tweets, confirmed a Russian SU-24 had been shot down, but insisted the plane had never left Syrian airspace.

“At all times, the SU-24 was exclusively over the territory of Syria,” the defence ministry said. “The SU-24 was at 6000 metres and preliminary information suggests it was brought down by fire from the ground. The circumstances are being investigated.”

The ministry said preliminary information suggested that the pilots managed to successfully eject from the plane. The Turkish network CNN Turk said that one of the pilots had been captured by local Turkmen tribesmen in the area.

The area near where the plane was shot down is the site of ongoing clashes between forces loyal to the embattled Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, and rebels fighting to overthrow him. Russia launched a military intervention in October aimed at protecting the areas in western Syria still under control by the regime after nearly five years of civil war. The northern Latakia countryside has seen repeated aerial assaults by both the Russian and Syrian air forces.

Shortly after the Russian intervention, Turkey warned the Kremlin that it would not tolerate violations of its airspace, after two incidents that prompted consultations with Nato.

Turkey opposes Assad and has condemned the Russian intervention for targeting rebels not affiliated with the terror group Islamic State.

The latest incident highlights the grave risks of clashes of arms between the various international forces that have intervened in Syria. A coalition led by the US is conducting an ongoing campaign against Isis in the country, and American and Russian officials have worked on ensuring there are no clashes between their forces as they pursue their separate campaigns.

But the shooting down of the Russian plane is an escalation that leaves open the possibility of an open clash between a Nato member state and Russia, whose intervention shows an increasing assertiveness in international affairs.

Check the back of the engine(close to where the filter is and the sump, just below the vtec actuator).
You will see the VIN number of the car where the engine was taken from.
Run a VIN check to have an idea of the car's history and mileage before it was scrapped.

BusinessFuel Scarcity Hits Rivers Again by Inception(op): 2:15pm On Oct 28, 2015
Less than a week after members of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas, NUPENG, called off their strike in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, another round of shortage of petroleum products has hit the oil-rich city.
It was learnt that the present shortage is attributed to the refusal of tank farm and depot owners to sell products to marketers.
The depot owners are protesting against the delay in payment of petroleum subsidy by the Federal Government.
Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) Rivers State dropped this hint on its official Facebook page posted today, saying “We would like to clarify that the current shortage of petroleum products experienced in Rivers State has nothing to do with NUPENG, PENGASSAN or even the Trade Union Congress.
“We understand that the shortage is mainly due to protest by tank farm and depot owners over the delay in payment of their subsidy claims. Essentially the tank farm and depot owners who at present supply the majority of the filling stations in Port Harcourt load one or two trucks per day and stop.
“The truth is that they have products but decided to embark on this Go-slow to draw the attention of the public to their situation.”
To remedy the situation and ensures adequate supply of petroleum products in the state an its environs before it deteriorates, TUC appealed to depot and tank farm owners to reconsider their position in the interest of the ordinary people who passed through harrowing experience just two weeks ago.
Residents of Rivers an its environs suffered untold hardships during the strike by NUPENG in the Port Harcourt zone that lasted for two weeks as getting petroleum products throughjout the period was very difficult.
Their grouse then was that Weatherford Nigeria Limited, an oil services company located in Trans Amadi Industrial Estate of Port Harcourt, victimized their members and in an attempt to picket the company armed policemen from the Rivers State Command brutalized some of their members with four of them hospitalized.
NUPENG on Wednesday, October 21, called off its crippling strike.
Before the strike was called off a communiqué endorsed by the State Chairman of TUC, Mr Chika Unuegbu; the Port Harcourt zonal Chairman of NUPENG, Mr Godwin Eruba and others, saying that at a stakeholders’ meeting in the office of the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Mr Kenneth Kobani, the management of Weatherford, agreed to withdraw the letters of redundancy issued to 20 members of NUPENG and Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, pending conclusion of negotiation between the firm and the unions.
Ending the strike brought relief to motorists and commuters who were forced into paying through their nose to buy the scarce petroleum products.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has not issued any official statement on the allegation of delayed payment of petroleum subsidy.

kingreign:
Sure if the modules are replaced, and the crash sensor aren't damaged, they will work properly, however some advanced Toyotas will require a reset of the airbag ECU.
Of course the crash sensor(s) where the impact occurred WILL need to be replaced(as this is what triggered the deployment in the first place). Also to be replaced will be the seat-belt pretensioners( particularly for front-end collision). The airbag control unit reset can be done manually (i know only for Toyota models, and if you have the car repair manual) or through a diagnostic machine of sufficient competence to do so.But this must be done only if all deployed units are replaced with new(or fairly used) ones.
