This one na black market judgement. We need an independent judiciary. The way our judiciary is today,it's subjugated under certain split forces.

This same case has been struck out by federal high court Abuja last 2weeks. Abuse of court process!

the APC Witness certify the photocopy document as well as the true signature of the VC..the other unclear signature that due to photocopy error Does not have a forged signature but Only Unclear..the intrreresting part is that forensic analyser in the court did not prove that a forgery or super imposition exist on the result....so the judge has No ground at all to base his judgement....its a clear process ...the case will still go to appeal and supreme court
But if obaseki wins and demolishes oshiomole house and send him on exile please don't cry....oshoomole has shown and will exhaust his remaining tiny power

Judgment has been delivered in a landmark case!
The Edo State High Court has held that the APC Deputy-Governorship Aspirant Audu Ganiyu Abudu presented false information to INEC in his Form EC9. The Court therefore nullified the Candidacy of Governorship and Deputy-Governorship Candidates of the APC at the September 19th, 2020 Election.

lol photocopies have originals abi? If people are contesting photocopies you will have to go back to the Original certificates. it has been proven that Obaseki has a valid Bsc Certificate and that it was not forged so case closed

Like I said before photocopies cannot be forged so the issue of forgery will not even arise

The fact is that something is not right with what was submitted. Whether or not the judge is satisfied with the excuse given is left to him entirely.

What's being challenged are the documents attached to his nomination form. Nobody submits originals for nomination. So if by your own incompetence, something goes wrong with your photocopies ,you should be held culpable and face the consequences. The obvious fact is that something is wrong with what was submitted. Whether or not the excuse is good enough depends on the judge.

Obaseki should just pray for mercy on the part of the judge. It's the prerogative of the judge to determine whether or not the photocopier is to blame. Especially in this 21st century where modern copiers that can resize any certificate and give you an exact copy of the original. Nobody submits originals to inec for nominations, so you must ensure that your photocopy must be a complete replica of your original. Like I said he should pray because a ruthless judge may not accept that photocopier excuse.

God bless you. I'm may not be a fan of APC but when it comes to court issues,it's not peculiar to any party. All the parties are guilty of it and it's within their rights to go to court anyway. Na selective amnesia dey worry am. Lol....

Yhe supreme court has learnt their lesson from the previous Judgments and that is tne reason why they are not ready to entertain any attempt to resurrect any of the case

I just hope so. But there's nothing wrong in revisiting a bad judgement. The primary interest should be justice.

In what capacity is the said charity aiguobawekhina presenting the certificates before the court as authentic? This is very key. If he's not from the issuing body,then it weakens the defense.Hope the defense counsel will not fail to subpoena the registrar of UI to authenticate the certificate. That's very key. It'll give potency to the presentation /defense of the governor.

The court is trying not to waste the little time given to the defendant. All issues will be raised when both parties write their final address and the court will rule on everything same day the judgement will be delivered. It’s to save time.

Ize Iyamu was over hyped. APC was holding on the the results of 2016, forgetting the realities of 2020, where they had become weakened by several battles. PDP was on an ascendancy and Ken Imansuagbon was on the way to victory. The truth must not be denied that Obaseki/Shuaibu provided additional firepower. Whatever it was Ize Iyamu could not win.

I wish those supporting Obaseki on this case based on their hatred for Oshiomhole will realize that this case is the foundation laid by the PDP in 2016... If Olujimi wanted to finish this case finally, He would have asked the court to order Dan Orbih to appear in the witness box with the letter the Abuja High court wrote to his chambers in 2016 denying issuing the Affidavit Obaseki presented to INEC.
Hard and bad time for Obaseki and his legal team..

The best person to tender that affidavit is the registrar of the federal high court Abuja where the document was purportedly issued. I think that was done. Dan Orbih is not a lawyer by the way. Maybe you're referring to Ferdinand Orbih.

PDP had other candidates and could have defeated Ize Iyamu with the backing of Obaseki. PDP was not fooled. In presenting Obaseki, they had a lot of corrections - over Obaseki's documentations - to make and I believe the corrections were made.

Obaseki will survive it.

My brother nobody would've been able to defeat ize iyamu if not Obaseki.

How can you establish forgery without calling the issuing authorities (waec and UI) as witnesses in your case. I don't know what people are reading from that publication at all.
From the testimonies of the witnesses in the write up, the case is gone. None of them will hold water at all.
For the plaintiff to establish forgery case no be beans o. You must call waec and UI as part of your witnesses and other relevant bodies if you're claiming forgery. Not by calling those witnesses to come and authenticate certificates issued by well known institutions in Nigeria. The plaintiff has already made the case bye bye by those weak witnesses called.

No single witness was called from the institutions where Degi claimed to have graduated from in the Bayelsa case. Yet the supreme court sacked him and the governor for forgery.

Which Sunday will 180 days elapse? If it is 10 January the PDP may be given two days for its defence a day for INEC while the judgement will be given on Saturday IN BRIEF with details later on a day to be selected by Justice Mohammed .

INEC will not need anytime. They'll simply say they're neutral and have nothing to say.

This is the second time he's falling sick in this case. By the way, there's no case with the certificate forgery issue. The only solid case they've is that of perjury if sufficiently proven.
