How many of these celebs will leave their houses on election day to go queue and vote? Some of them have even fixed shows on that day. Some will be on location,others will be outside the country.

How many of them have hit the streets to campaign for Obi, even in their constituency? Endorsement itself is not votes, you have to work.

So PDP will not hold a rally in Rivers State?

We don't listen to CBN any longer. We shall continue to spend the old notes. Una time short, after May 29 you'll say no more. Infact,after the presidential election you shall say no more. I'm very confident that this old notes will remain legal tender until next year.

Final verdict

Labour party might narrowly win Edo state but it's hard to call..

The margin of victory in each zone and how they perform in other zones behind the winner will determine who wins Edo State. Edo is far more complicated than Obidients are seeing. Another point you didn't raise is that, the Dan Orbih faction of the pdp is silently working for Tinubu in Edo State. There's practically no resistance to oshiomhole in Edo north because Dan Orbih faction is with them. Philip shaibu is struggling to stay afloat. There's no labour party in Edo north at all.

Nobody should be shocked if Edo State result turns out to be against their expected prediction. LP has eaten up pdp strongholds in Edo State and the party is divided into two factions. For me, it's between LP and APC in Edo for presidential election.

Old notes are more in circulation than new notes. The new notes have disappeared while the old notes are keeping us going. Emiefele is supposed to be in prison after Buhari's tenure.

The point I want to make is that despite the schemings of some scrupulous APC governors who got a kangaroo order from the Supreme Court which extended the use of old naira notes beyond the February 10th earlier stipulated as deadline by CBN, it seems Banks and Nigerians have moved past the old Naira notes.

Psychologically, Nigerians already conditioned themselves that the old money expired on February 10th.

Even banks… All over Lagos today, no bank was opened and I’m sure it’s probably that way throughout the country. The reason for them not opening might probably be because they don’t want to open and get themselves into trouble by rejecting old notes and be seen as disobeying the order of the Supreme Court. Similarly, they don’t want collect the old note and be seen as disobeying the CBN who has given them any contrary directive about the old Naira withdrawal deadline.


So also are business people in the markets and streets…. They too have stopped collecting the old notes to avoid it becoming mere paper in their hands.

In the end, what the APC governors achieved was to create confusion that even got things more complicated. And citizens have decided to go with the CBN
