PoliticsRe: My Message To Igbos Over The New Language Law In Lagos by InfiniteLoopx: 11:50am On Feb 15, 2018
Igbos should see this law as a blessing in disguise. If you are not ok with it, quitly vacate their state and move back East. Its to your advantage to run your show down East. Nigeria is too fragile to concentrate all your investment outside your homeland. What you guys should be running in the West or North should be smaller version of your businesses that can be discarded on time. Move your families back home, expecially your kids.

Send them down to the East to school. If they must school outside their shore, why not send them to America, Europe or even some top level African Universities, e.g Accra Ghana, etc. Why just sit your ass where you keep getting whiped, base on your ethnic origin. A word is enough for the wise.

Did i create the thread? I only mentioned that because someone said the pix are precolonial.Anyway i don't care how bitter you get over my comment its your cup of tea.
Shatap! Are these not Yoruba women. Why picking the ugly pix of other tribes, but omitting your own.

RomanceRe: Pictures Of Nigerian Women From Times Past by InfiniteLoopx: 9:53pm On Feb 14, 2018
nuoladee:
This one na confam painment. All the pix are preindependence not precolonial.A simple google search would set things straight but you are too lazy to do that. You claim the igbo pix look precolonial that's because they got civilized late which explains why nl boys always remind you that when yorubas where wearing clothes and being civilized the igbos were still uncivilized. This isn't even tribalism but the truth. Even in this century, hate it or not yorubas are still very much prettier than igbos thanks to our genetic make up. I have seen igbo girls that make me wow but just few. You simply can't give what you don't have. You can't have a DNA that breeds sudanese babies and you suddenly expect people to see you as somali years later. It doesn't work that way my dear.

Now you put your bitterness aside and go to bed. If anything i think op did you a lot of good by omitting certain pictures but you must always be tribalistic.
This is exactly the purpose of this thread. Very useless sets of people.
PoliticsRe: Would We Ever See Nnamdi Kanu Again? by InfiniteLoopx: 9:21pm On Feb 14, 2018
gidgiddy:
That question is irrelevant. There was a problem that existed before Nnamdi Kanu was born, that problem has not gone away and it gave rise to self determination and freedom. So wether you see Nnamdi Kanu again or not, the problem is still there and will still give rise to much bigger problems in the future.

How is Nigeria better off as one? Are we happy with each other? Does the Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa-Fulani love each other? Have we grown as a nation? Do we even see each as one? All we have done is kill each other in the millions since Lugard brought us together. What is the point of being together when there is no benefit of being together? You talk about losing investment and friends in Nigeria to Biafra, have the Chinese lost their investments in Nigeria? Have Europeans lost tbeir investments in Nigeria? Have Americans lost their investment in Nigeria? So why would any Biafran lose their investments in Nigeria? Or did they tell you that one must be a citizen of Nigeria to own investments in Nigeria or live in Nigeria?

There you are listing the attrocities your precious "one Nigeria" commited against defenceless people just because they expressed their right of self determination. This is the Nigeria you are proud of? One were the authorities oppress, kill, torture and arrest people for having a contrary view? And you are asking Kanu and his followers to belong to such an evil entity? Only a fool is proud of such thing

Man wake up! You have no country or nation. What you have is a completely failed colonial figment which has become the benchmark for monumental disaster. Yes life goes on, but goes on to what? More suffering? Herdsmen killing? Corruption? Inflation? Nepotism? Tribalism? National calamity? Militancy? Cultism?

Someone house is burning down but they are asking where Kanu is. What a joker
I wish I can give you a thousand likes for this epic reply.

You got our back bro. Nigeria ain't gonno work in the next hundred years. Igbos need to start thinking realistically about her own country.

Nwanne, they should keep off completely and go for their ewedu yoruba women. It will help Afonja protect their culture.

Ndiigbo should proscribe yoruba marrying from us, to help yoruba preserve their culture.

It is an act of kindness. The should leave our igbo sisters alone.

I am very serious about this and will lobby for such proscription from Ohanaeze and south east govs.
Lobby for Igbos to send their investment back home; send their numerious children to schools in the East, and Igbos areas S'South, then you'll be doing the Igbo nation a great service.

bakynes:
You need to understand the way most Igbos reason. Since Lagos is now Cosmopolitan, they expect us to drop everything that has to do with its history, roots ,Culture,Tradition and Language just to make them happy.

Awolowo knows what he was saying when he said there is nothing like Nigerians in the real sense of it like we have English people,Scottish people because they are a people of one tongue and language. Everybody else seems to understand these and take caution when outside their region. But it seems only Igbos do not understand this narrative, they feel they should have equal right with you on your own land but you cannot have equal right on their own land.

it was even their kins man in the person of Ironsi that change the system of how we lived according to our regions. So they should take their complain to him in the grave.

whether they like it or not we will not erase our culture and language in Lagos because it is Cosmoplitan. Until Igbos realize that we are not one people but only agreed to live together in one big space called Nigeria with every ethnic nation to their boundaries the better for them.
Every Igbo should this post carefully. Expecially those stupid efulefus that wants to be more Nigerian than Nigeria. Read, learn and think back home.

Olabestonic001:
Lolz. You probably don't know Yorubas; we like fighting more psychological warfare than physical. You can trace that to our history of Kingdom-building and high politics. I'm sure no Yoruba man will attack any Igbo man (at least they won't start the violence). But, note it that with the unraveling of the typical Igbo-mind by Kanu and the succor he got on various media by many Igbos, the opinion has been formed. In the next 20-30yrs, the Igbos stance in Lagos will be so whittle down to that of any other ethnic group in Nigeria. With a governor like Obiano making such foolish claims as 'Igbos' building Lagos, the line was marked.

Given the leadership of Lagos (like any other smart Yoruba men), I'll increasingly pursue development of Lagos and self-preservation. I'll ensure I create policies that'll continually make Yorubas the major stakeholders and controller of the polity. I'll pursue self-preservation more than the way Swiss government and Japanese government does. And many of my types are going to do that in Lagos!
....and who cares. Whatever you choose to do with Lagos, your fuvcking business man. Millions of my kind are even agaisnt my people domicling and doing business in your region. So, your policies don't scare shiit in me. Infact, we want it, so that those of my people blind to your hate and that of other Nigerians will come to reality. At least, in the long run, its a win for us, if at the end of the day...

The igbos are incorrigible. I really don’t know what is wrong with them. About Akinphysicist, I never took particular notice of him or the said thread but I am elated by the fact that we have such committed men.

I see myself in that light and I am committed to railroad these strangers out of Lagos and to reclaim our land from ungrateful neighbors. The fact is igbos don’t know that future policy makers and influencers in yorubaland are present on Nairaland. They think we are here to play with them. You can’t keep insulting the hospitality of the Yorubas and think things will go well. The next phase now is to wait and see what igbos will do them we move to the violent stage of the struggle.

I pray igbos prove stubborn in Lagos so that our area boys can be given marching orders to deal with them ruthlessly. We must instill the fear of God in the igbos because I know they are stubborn goats.
You are such a wicked soul. You are no different from the violent extreamist up North. The irony of it all, is your so call claim of christianity. But wait'o, if you want to unleash violence on Igbos, I dare you to do it. In the long run, you'll be helping us achieve our set objective on time. I tripple dare you to unleash your madness on Igbos in your region. Go on man.

Please no derailing of this thread. Its a call on all smart and proactive Igbos on NL to begin to make moves that will promote our interests anywhere in Nigeria UNTIL the zoo splits up. Its a call for action. Not a call for baseless and useless rantings.
I hate that tag, "no man's land". Its completely baseless and misplaced priority. Our collective goal should be how to repatriate our investment back home, and possibly build on a strong synergy with our Southern Igboid brothers to build a vibrant economy, down East. But nay, our brothers keep emberrasing and loving Lagos more than other Nigerians.
I was in Lagos, once on transit, and I don't see anything special with that city, that my people are staking their necks for. Honestly, dash me free house, and job in Lagos, I'll not go for it, because I have phobia for noise and chaos. Wetin them use Lagos do my people?
The whole thing dey make me sick, walahi. sad

IamaNigerianGuy:
One intelligent person.

I have a few theories :

1. The desert is enroaching on northern Nigeria and this herdmen issue is pretext for a land grab.
2. Buhari might not be directly behind this, but he is witholding censure because he needs their political support.
3. Buhari knows what's going on and doesn't give a damn what you and I think because he sees his larger mission as support for his tribe rather than progress of Nigeria.
4. Other forces outside the administration are using the herdsmen issue to destabilize Buhari's government.
5. These Fulanis herdsmen may be a reincarnation of Boko Haram. Since Boko Haram was used successfully against Jonathan but has now been 'defeated' they are a replacement.
6. This is part of a plan to divide Nigeria, perhaps oil has secretly been discovered in the north.
7. This is part of a plan to disrupt voting in states that are likely to turn against APC in 2019.
8. This is part of a larger international conspiracy whose dots we have not yet connected.

Any one or combination of these might be the answer.
You guys should keep romancing with conspiracy theories when danger is already at the doorstep.

PoliticsRe: Defend Yourselves Against Killer Herdsmen - Governor Ortom Tells Benue People by InfiniteLoopx: 2:11pm On Feb 07, 2018
FriendofGod:
I have already blamed Buhari for being too exclusive and too quiet. It is merely an act of irresponsibility but he did give the IGP order to relocate to Benue. The IGP disobeyed an order. It is not something new. However, the president needs to wake up and be in charge. It is possible that he is being soft because Fulani is attached to the killers but in truth, he is just a reflection of how tribalistic the country is. Aside the Yorubas, Igbos are just as guilty. Many of them would protect a criminal as long as he is their kinsmen. Many of them, especially those on Nairaland, have no moral rights to condemn Buhari.
Must you bring in Igbos into this nonsense? What is wrong with you people huh angry
