However after fixing the date from the traditional Wedding, her parents are asking for five million naira as Bride Price. I told my girlfriend to appeal to them to at least reduce it to two million but her parents refuse. They say its an extended family decision like her Uncles and other relatives. I don't understand. Akshow: Some in laws are senseless. Is bride price now a wind fall? What sort of rubbish is that? Them want make e feed the wife wit air after e marry her finish? That is why i love my yoruba folks. In most cases the parents return the bride price to the husband tellin him to jus take care of her cos their daughter is not for sale. Aside the traditional yams, boxes of cloth and drinks nothin more. the fact is that the bride price itself in most cases are very small between #1.00 to may be #10,000.00 the problem is always the list of things like yam and the rest to buy. |

Nairaland General › Re: Which Section Is Your Favourite On Nairaland? by infodollarman(m): 3:17pm On Apr 16, 2013 |
secnelly: Many people will find it difficult to answer this because a hand full of nls end up on front page just for the most captivating updates and ignorance of other sections. Others manage to venture into some sections and easily get bored making discovery because of the voluminous posts and unending comments.
A reasonable number bring out time to search for profitable information using the 'local search' or the 'google custom search' and others find solace only on sections that catch their fancy. One of my friends then in school, spends the whole day in Romance section, reading fictions. Another always get the whole fun in Jokes section.
For me, there's no much difference. During Undergraduate days, I'll spend my entire time on Education, as levels changed to Corper tynz, its always NYSC section. Now am working, though looking for a dream Job as well, i had to bookmark Job/Vacancy section to aid my search. Now, I want to also know if there are other nls who customised some sections like i do. My
Question then goes: Which section is currently ur Favourite on Nairaland Forum? romance and news |

nex: It is a crime to publish fallacious, and especially malicious information about people. A lot of jobless individuals now claim to be "professional bloggers" with no other talent than spreading sensational stories which turn out to be false, simply because they want more hits on their blog, and thus, more money.
It is very wrong to make money off other people by lying on them or by deceiving the general public that such people did what they in fact did not. Unfortunately successful and popular figures in society who have worked hard to make a name, are the victims of this new evil trend. It's a pity. you are very correct. bloggers should be get their info from reliable sources to publish on their blogs to avoid such embarrassment like this. |

Celebrities › Re: Jackie Appiah Caught Changing Clothes In Public Car Park by infodollarman(m): 2:45pm On Apr 04, 2013 |
Ckariam: Sometimes when you see a movie premier, the celebrities and producers smiling before the cameras and granting interviews, one will never recognize or appreciate the efforts put in by them. Certain names have become synonymous with Ghallywood especially Venus films, Jackie Appiah, Frank Raja, even Adjetey Annan. In a movie set, a dressing room must be provided to enable actors to change their costumes. A private dressing room is equally important and made available for the actors to rest. Dressing room must be clean, private and secured, this helps in maintaining the dignity of the actors involved. It is not only that but it is the right thing to be done. It is heartbreaking to know that Venus films did not make any provision for the best welfare of their crew and thus will take most blame for this action of the actors on set. Adjetey Annan was seen in public car park at A&C changing his clothes, for him as a man, there was nothing wrong his brain will tell him. He even said that this is how it is done in Nigeria. What he labeled as the ‘Asaba Style’ where actors change anywhere and anytime. At least his boxers was clean but still he should not do it again next time. Later he started eating a pack of rice in the car park too. Jackie Appiah who recently emerged as the best actress at the Africa Magic viewers choice award in Lagos did not condescend too low as a woman but tried to maintain a little bit of privacy by changing in the car, imagine it yourself, a whole Jackie removing and putting back clothes inside a car at the A&C car park all because Venus Film did not provide the necessary logistics for their comfort. To make things easier for crew members, a mobile truck could be provided. This truck will house the bathrooms, changing rooms, and can double as offices for crew members. A lot more needs to be done to help our movie industry behave professionally, it is not wise to premier at silverbird, create the impression that it was of high standard when the actors were ridiculed on set. http://adentan.com/jackie-appiah-and-adjetey-annan-changes-clothes-in-public-car-park/ No proof |
Ok heres the deal. . i spent 5yrs in the USA. .but now i am back to Nigeria. . and obviously as a young nice looking dude am back into the dating scene. . .
I have gone on tons of dates. . .but the problem is i hesitate to kiss naija girls. . even when they willingly offer their lips and mouths
The reason?. . .I cannot be too sure of their dental hygiene. .
How many of them brush 2wice daily?. . use mouthwash or more importantly how many floss?
Flossing is a big deal for me. . I just cant shake the feeling that that pretty girl has 2 day old meat stuck in her teeth somewhere
Flossing is even more important than brushing. . .when u brush and floss daily u have good breath for 24hrs
I have actually had to introduce flossing to one chick that spent 3days with me. .
however after showing her how to do it. . . she claimed its tough on her teeth. .
so as expected i couldnt bring myself to kiss her the rest of her stay. .
so ppl. . what should i do?. . what percentage of Naija girls. . floss or use mouthwash anyway?. . .1%. . 10%
seems like on my next date,am going to ask straight up. . do u floss?. . and if not bounce the chick immediately
perhaps i should go look for a repat chick like myself?. .
oh well. .
funny! really Funny!! |
Romance › Re: 5 Reason Why Some Men Prefer Ashawo To Homely Babes by infodollarman(m): 1:07pm On Mar 27, 2013 |
lawisong: My girlfriend asked me why some men prefer prostitutes to homely girls. after a brain cracking session i was able to give her five reasons why i think some men prefer the women of low virtue. she couldn't help it as she laughed her guts out. I felt i should share these reasons here.
Before i do that, let me first of all let you know this shocking truth; 80% of women are prostitute. It only depends if they are WILD protitutes or DOMESTIC prostitutes. The wild ones are the ones that stands in the hotels for commercial sex trade while the domestic ones are the so-called girlfriends we keep at home with the false impression that we have a decent clean babe all to ourselves, but unfortunately when we are away they sneak out to have sex with other guys and sugar daddies, now tell me how are they different from the roadside prostitute. My brothers, it is the same thing o. So whether you admit it or not if your wife sleeps around with Chief when you are not in town, then you have a domestic prostitute in your house. So don't judge other men who sleep with the wild prostitutes in hotels becos you are in their shoes too.
now the 5 reasons some men refer prostitutes are; 1. A prostitute does not expect you to remember her birthday, not to talk of buying her gifts. You don't also have to take care of her responsibilities like buying her body cream, paying for her hair do, etc. Yet you still enjoy maximum sex for a little fee which cannot be compared to the expenses we spend on our so-called clean babes. A friend of mine said his girlfriend won't let him touch her or even talk to her because he didn't give her a particular amount of money she requested. If this young man must give her that money before he would touch her then what is the difference between her and the prostitute out there?
2. You don't need to remember the safe period of prostitutes because non of them would come back telling you they are pregnant.
3. Prostitutes won't compel you to get married to them as the last thing on their mind is marriage.
4. Believe it or not, prostitutes are more disease free than the so-called clean babes. This is becos every man thinks her job is risky so there is need to protect himself with a condom and at the end 100 men may sleep with her but with a condom but with the so-called decent clean and homely babes, Emeka thinks she is decent so he doesn't need a condom, tomorrow Kalu will think the same and do it with her again without using a condom and Alhaji will also think she is decent and safe so he too goes without a condom and at the end she has 100 men who have slept with her without condom yet she still parades herslef as the homely, decent, clean, mummy's pet babe, and the cycle continues. What a shame!
5. A prostitute does not expect you to satisfy them, they would do anything to satisfy you and make you come for them again unlike the clean homely babes who expect you to take them to cloud nine while they only lie on their backs and spread their legs like frozen chicken.
Now, with the afore-mentioned reason, why won't men go for prostitutes, tell me!
NOTE: I have never slept with a prostitute (i mean WILD prostitute) before, believe it or not, neither do i encouraged the act of prostitution, i just felt i should look at the issues from the perspective of men who are into the act. you're right. however if you will one day get married when and how do you know your wife to be. |

What is the most romantic way to ask "Will you marry me?"
I don't know how you going to do yours.
Mine, God willing, is to go on visit/picnic to "Guinea like Robinson Crusoe" and then preferably in a clean and natural water body after "much much" you know, then:
I'll present her with a beautiful flower which will turn out to have a beautifully made ring in it and then "smile and say with passionate awe:"
"Will you marry?"
She's going to koloo.

Romance › Re: My Boyfriend Must Marry Me! by infodollarman(m): 11:59am On Mar 25, 2013 |
marvelck: Every relationship ought to end in marriage if the people involved are sincere and willing to take the next step. But first of all, relationship has grade and levels. We have relationship for learners (for those between the ages of 17 and 19). And we also have the one for matured mind (for those between the ages of 20, 21 and above). But I'm going to talk more about the one for matured mind. When you're within this age range, there's nothing wrong in hoping to take your relationship to the next level. You are not too young at that age to get married. So, when going into a relationship, marriage should be on your mind. Yeah, except you're not ready or still want to play around. And being like this, is like having an ulterior motive. Which is not known to the person you're dating. While he or she may be looking forward to or hoping to tie the knot with you some day, you're busy thinking of the next guy or lady to move on to. Chei, that na pure wickedness. Why toy with someone's heart when you know, you're not ready. While carry him or her along, only to ditch the person later. In fact, Karma no go pity you if you do such a thing to anybody. Relationship should be a springboard to getting married, if you and your partner have genuine feelings for each other and are willing to take the next step. We don't date for fun. We usually date to find a soul-mate. A companion, one whom we hope to spend the rest of our lives with. If you don't have such a mindset concerning your relationship, then you are in the wrong bus. Oya, come down! true talk. but really some people date for fun and at the long run they get confused about what and who they want. |
