Politics / Re: Obaseki: I Won't Appeal My Disqualification From Edo APC Primary by infogenerator(m): 5:28pm On Jun 12, 2020
I can't help but laugh when I see people say " if Obaseki contests and wins under the PDP platform his certificate will be questioned"

When has there not be questioning in Nigeria politics, even the certificate Obaseki used in his first tenure was questioned when he wanted to contest again.....

I believe if Ize Iyamu can contest under APC then Obaseki has a chance under PDP too.

If he contests and wins under PDP it will all end in Court and I'm sure he can't loose because PDP would have looked at all possible loopholes before admiting him into their party in the first place.

chukwuibuipob:
PDP don shut/closed their door against him already.
.

You might be right, but Obaseki still seem to me as someone who hasn't dropped his last cards yet, I bet he still has a game plan of some sort, I just can't see any other possibility for him aside from decamping, especially now that he mad it known he isn't contesting the resolve of his disqualification......
Politics / Re: Obaseki: I Won't Appeal My Disqualification From Edo APC Primary by infogenerator(m): 4:18pm On Jun 12, 2020
The level of quietness and calmness of Edo PDP of late has really given me something to ponder about, Now that Obaseki is a free agent, one is tempted to say Edo PDP might have had a plan all along ..

Honestly if Obaseki decamps to PDP his chances of winning is pretty high, take it or leave it, he is undeniably loved by the Edo people.

All he has to do next is make sure he bribes the appropriate channel and "shares the money" to the right people..... irrespective of what we all think on nairaland, you CAN'T win an major election in Nigeria without "sharing"

Family / Re: Where Do I Pay The Bride Price, I Really Need Advice. by infogenerator(m): 2:41pm On Jun 12, 2020
Op your story seem legit, so I'll give you a piece of my experience on this.

Everyone asking you to look well before you leap are actually correct and I personally advice you listen to them.

My cousin married a particular girl from Beyelsa about 8 years ago, we travelled from Lagos to Beyelsa for the wedding. Both parents of the bride had the same exact issue....after paying the bride price to the girl's father, we were mandated to go back and pay another exact pride price to the girl's mother and her family, because according to them we haven't paid the bride price yet...it took us 3 days to do all these in Beyelsa state, crossing rivers to their villages and all. He actually did two traditional ceremony.

They are married today and far from being happy. No kids yet to show for it even when they are both medically certified to be ok....

So please don't intentionally put yourself in a tight corner ....

Here is what you do, let them know you're interested in their daughter, but you don't want a marriage that is divided from the get go, so they should fix their differences and let you pay her bride price as customs demands once and for all.

I have seen where two bitterly separated parents come together for just that day, so their kids can get married, if they can't do that for their own daughter's happiness, marriage and future, then candidly I'll tell you to run away from such a family

Programming / Re: Who Has Ever Accessed The Dark Web Or Deep Web Share Your Experience by infogenerator(m): 10:46am On Jun 10, 2020
Everyones experience on the dark web is different. This experience depends on two things:

1. What are you looking for?
2. Your internet experience
3. How much time you're willing to spare on the dark web.

If these 3 factors are high enough, you can watch a live cannibalistic behavior on the dark web, buy drugs and guns and have them delivered to your home (definitely not in Nigeria), watch child pornography, human Vs animal porn, and really mind twisting bondage sex, read and watch highly classified documents and videos of varying proportion, let's not talk about the amount of fraudulent activities and stolen documents, identities and credit cards you can buy on the deep web....

In general, the dark web has layers, the deeper you go, the nastier and more disturbing it becomes. it's a whole crazy world out there and it make up almost 80℅ of the total internet.

I don't care about the credibility of this news, my pain is things like this truly exist!

I don't know who needs to hear this, but sometimes the reason some people ain't making it in life is bacause they don't have parental blessings.

Let your parents know you love them through your actions, words and sometimes gifts, let them genuinely pray for you, and watch breakthroughs in your life.

Sometimes to get a different result, you just have to do things differently. More often than not, doing things differently doesn't need a degree in rocket science. Learn these cool life hacks, apply them in your daily life when ever you can. I'm willing to wager you'll notice considerable difference in your life.

1. Golden spending rule; if you can’t afford two of it, then you can’t afford it.

2. Never loan a friend more money than you can afford to give away.

3. If you forget someone’s name simply say, “Sorry, what was your name again?” They may look annoyed, but once they tell you their first name say, “No, I meant your last name.”

4. The next time you stub your toe or get a cut, look away. The body usually associates pain with sight.

5. If you ever have to park in a city at night, park in front of a bank. They’re very well lighted and have cameras everywhere, just in case.

6. You should tie a small piece of brightly colored fabric to your luggage. You’ll be able to spot your bag at the airport in no time!

7. If a job advert asks you to pay money to work for them, it’s a scam. Period.

8. If you want to find a good job after college? Make friends with as many people in your field that are on track to graduate one or two years ahead of you, this will give you a lot of head-start, in the labor market when you graduate.

9. Do you always loose business cards like me? Take a picture of business cards people hand you, so when you loose them, you still have a copy.

10. Secretaries, tech support, and cleaners are the true power in an office. Make friends with them and you’ll be able to get anything you need!

11. Success is a state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as a success.

12. When you feel like you need something, but you can’t figure out what it is, it’s water. It’s always water.

13. Always under-promise and over-deliver. Most people tend to do the opposite. Trust me, you will always stand out.

14. When shopping online, always read the 1-star reviews first. Most often than not, that's where the truth is.

15. If you see a car accident call the police or the authorities. It may seem obvious but many believe that someone else will do it.

16. Don't "right-click-correct" to correct incorrectly spelled words. Delete the entire word then re-type it correctly. Do this to train yourself to spell words right the first time instead of relying on spell-check. Same applies to cell phones.

17. Before booking a vacation online, call the booking agency directly and ask any question. They will likely give you a discount for calling and showing interest.

18. If you suspect you've been given a wrong number, read it back to them incorrectly. If they correct it chances are you were given the correct number in the first place.

19. Got bored from one of your favorite songs? Try listening to a cover version. There's enough difference to feel refreshing while still being faithful to the original.

20. Turn your lights on in a bad weather. It’s not for you to be able to see; it’s so other drivers can see you. This hack have saved many lives!
