You take a phrase out of a verse and use it to back such a huge theory when several verses and chapters of the Bible are dedicated to stating the opposite of what you just typed.

truthispainful:
The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godwill Akpabio reportedly collapsed yesterday at a function in the state and rushed to an undisclosed hospital in the United Kingdom, newspunch.org has exclusively learnt.
This is following the defection of former governor of the State, Victor Obong Attah from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party to the opposition All Progressives Congress. Attah publicly endorsed the APC candidates in the State, despite being a BoT member of PDP
Since the governor’s collapse, his close aides, family members and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been keeping the news from the reach of the media. But, a source, close to the governor, but who pleaded anonymity confided in reporters that the governor collapsed yesterday and had since be rushed to an undisclosed UK hospital
http://omojuwa.com/2015/03/gov-akpabio-collapses-rushed-to-uk-hospital/

But how can u rush a sick person to a hospital in UK? is it a 5mins drive, a dash across the street or what? Pardon my ignorance, but I thought you've to first of all process your visa, book a flight n then move from Akwa Ibom to Lagos before connecting to London.....or could it b that they rush him to a waiting private supersonic jet n pronto! landed in UK under 20 mins?

Religion / The Battle For Worship by Infomaz(m): 6:08am On Mar 01, 2015
As the battle between Light and Darkness, Good and Evil, God and Satan approaches its climax, the issue of worship will once again assume center stage as it was at the beginning.

Recall that Satan not content with his exalted position as the first among the covering cherub corrupted his wisdom by reason of his beauty. His heart was lifted up with pride and thus desired the worship due only to God as creator. “I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north…I will be like the most high” Isaiah 14:13-14. Through the ages, Satan has continued his warfare against God by perverting the worship due him as Creator. Thus today, the sun, moon and stars, reptiles, power, wealth, sex, and even man himself is worship in place of God.

Unfortunately, a large part of Christendom is caught up in this rebellion against Jehovah when it comes to the issue of worship. Masquerading as “an angel of light” and his demons as “ministers of righteousness” (2Corinthians11:14-15) many have been led to follow the traditions of men rather than the word of God. Earthly powers and ecclesiastical authorities, under the inspiration of Satan have attempted “to change times and laws” Daniel 7:25

Over and over again, the Bible tells us that the reason God is worthy of our worship is because He is our creator. As the psalmist tells us, “O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” – Ps 95:6. Jeremiah tells us “Jehovah is the true God, he is the living God…God made the earth by his power, and he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding” Paul introduced this “unknown God” whom the Athenians ignorantly worshipped as the Creator of the world, (Acts 17:23-24) and Revelation 4:11, the basis for the popular song, “Thou art worthy” says “Thou art worthy, o Lord, to receive glory and honour and power; for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure and they are and were created.” The point is, God is primarily worthy of our worship because he is our Creator. All other gods are not God because they did not create. - “The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth and from under the heavens.” Jer. 10:11.

To commemorate (mark, remember) the fact that he is our CREATOR, and thus worthy of our worship, Jehovah instituted the Sabbath at the beginning, in the Garden of Eden, before the entrance of sin. “By the Seventh day, God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day, he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy…” Divine providence foresaw the possibility of man forgetting and wandering after other gods, and rationalizing his actions by diverse theories of origin. Therefore, God commanded in the clearest possible language to “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy” Why? “For in six days Jehovah made heavens and the earth…therefore he blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” Exodus 20: 8 & 11. In other words, God says do not forget to keep the Sabbath day, so that you will always know that I am God, your creator. To argue that the Sabbath day have been abolished therefore is to insinuate that God is no longer the creator!

God therefore holds up the Sabbath not only as proof of his creator-ship and therefore our worship, but of our loyalty to him, in the ongoing battle with Satan – who craves above all other things, to be worshipped just like God. “Moreover, also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them…And hallow my Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God” Ezekiel 20:12 & 20

Revelation highlights the importance of the worship in the end time. “If any man worships the beast and his image and receives the mark on his forehead or on the hand” said the angel with a loud voice, he too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury” Rev 14:10.
We are invited to “Fear God and give him glory…worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water” - Rev 14: 7. Out of love and as a sign of our loyalty, we are enjoined to keep the Sabbath day, because God is our Creator.

The issue of the Sabbath is a matter of love. "If you love me, keep my commandments" John 14:15. We do not keep the Sabbath to earn God's grace or salvation, but because we already have it. Obedience to his commandments is the fruit of our relationship with him, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I invite you friends, to prayerfully make your choice. Will you honour worship God on the Seventh Day (Saturday) as he commanded or will you be in danger of worshipping in vain, because you follow for doctrines the commandment of men? Wouldn’t you rather follow the example of Jesus, Paul and the early Christians who have a habit of worshipping God on the Sabbath? (Luke 4:16, Acts 13:42, 13:44, 17:2, 18:4)
May God grant you the courage and grace to make the right decision. I implore and invite you to join millions of those who are worshipping on the Sabbath day, and will continue to do so throughout the endless year of eternity, in the earth made new. (Isaiah 66:22-23)
Family / Re: Does Infidelity Make One A Bad Spouse? by Infomaz(m): 5:45pm On Feb 16, 2015
striktlymi:
If a spouse is faithful in many things but one. Fulfills all other responsibilities to the partner and the children but for some reason the person can't stop extramarital affairs.

Would that singular act make him or her a terrible person to live with as a spouse and a parent?

The reality though is that infidelity or sin is hardly singular. Lies and dishonesty are its twin brothers.

Then there's the inability to provide the moral example n spiritual headship and that is required of the Man - the family is spiritually exposed to attacks by the 'strange' woman and others.

In addition, the woman is exposed to STDs including HIV.

Furthermore, children could be born out of wedlock and before long unplanned polygamy may result.

I could go on and on, but the point is that infidelity in particular and sin in general, is hardly singular. Sooner than later, it will become plural and then gradually engulf and imprison the man in terrible situations that may shorten his life.

Politics / Beyond Jonathan And Buhari: The Change That We Need. by Infomaz(m): 9:48pm On Feb 11, 2015
Beyond the quadrennial struggle for power under democracy and the aberration of military rule, lies a fundamental problem with the Nigerian polity which none of the present gladiators are addressing. Nigeria, according to late Anthony Enaharo, is like a car that got to a critical junction and took a wrong turn. What am I talking about?

At independence, the fear of domination of one ethnic group over the other, anchored on our multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and topographical diversity, made our founding fathers to adopt a federal system of government. This was a wise choice as political history the world over, teaches us that a country like ours can only succeed as a nation under a federal system. A federal system of government for the record, is a union of partially self-governing states or regions under a central (federal) government, with powers usually assigned to each by a constitution.

The adoption of this system, apart from calming the genuine fear of domination by the ethnic nationalities that made up Nigeria, it created a developmental rivalry that gave birth to the famed cocoa plantation in the west, the groundnut pyramids in the north and the coal industry in the east. We were self-sufficient in our food needs and our economy was so buoyant that the exchange rate of the naira to the pounds was; N0.65/£1.

Sadly, the military intervention of 1966 and subsequent military regimes truncated our match to nationhood by enforcing the anomaly of a unitary system on us. It was no coincidence that these interventions and the subsequent desperate quest for power occurred almost at the time when oil was discovered. It has been said ‘jokingly’ that even the civil war was fought to a large extent on the need to control our new found oil wealth. Ojukwu in declaring Biafra republic, included the then Niger delta states of Rivers, Cross River and Bendel. Of course, Gowon would have none of it, and so the fight to finish began.

Back to our discourse. Decrees upon decrees were promulgated that eroded the semi-autonomous status of the regions while empowering the government at the center. The land use decree of 1978, finally vested all land and their resources in the hands of the federal government. Derivation as a principle of revenue generation and distribution was jettison for that of allocation. As the federal government grew bigger, stronger, richer and more corrupt, so did the intensity and struggle for power – not to better the lot of the masses, but to control the vast Oil/Gas wealth that lies in the underbelly of the Niger delta. Oil wells and contracts were dole out as Christmas gifts to family members, party loyalist, feudal and ethnic lords, generals and political godfathers and godsons.

Of course, it was only a question of time before we began to experience the consequences of imposing a unitary fiscal structure and distorted federalism on our country. The activities of OPC in the South West, MASSOP in the South East, Arewa Youths in the North and militancy in the South-South among others, is a fulfillment of the prediction made by the Chief Obafemi Awolowo. According to the late sage, “…every multi-lingual or multi-national country with a unitary constitution must either eventually have a federal constitution…or disintegrate, or be perennially afflicted with disharmony and hostility” (The people’s Republic, 1968)

The Change that we need is a return to through true federalism, so that we can begin the journey to true nationhood. Nigeria as it presently exist is a “mere geographical expression… a distinctive appellation to distinguish those who live within the boundaries of Nigeria from those who do not”

*The restructuring of Nigeria along the present 6 geo-political zones. (The North West, North East, Middle Belt, South West, South East and South South)
*Operation of fiscal federalism – with the principle of derivation as its foundation.
*Convocation of a sovereign national conference to implement the above.

My support and vote will go to any of the political parties that have as part of her manifesto, the implement of these aforementioned.

God Bless Nigeria!

Raiders: The bible say that we should not judge the man of God

Please don't misquote the Bible. The admonition "Judge not, so that you will not be judged" does not mean we cannot correct or discipline believes including pastors or "men of God" if they steal, fornicates, kill, commits adultery, etc.

Jesus warns us to "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly, they are ravening wolves" but we should not be deceived because, "By their fruits we shall know them" Matt 7:15-16.

Paul addressing immorality in the Corinthian Church, advice the church to judge and discipline anyone found guilty. in fact, he says "if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater...or an extortioner, ...with such a one do not eat" 1 Cor 5:11.

Due to the danger posed by false prophets, "man of God" pastors, - who in reality are agents of the devil, but have "transformed themselves into apostles of Christ" or "ministers of righteousness", (1Cor. 11:13-15), we are admonished not to believe every one who claims to speak for God but to "test the spirit" (1John 4:1)
