Jokes Etc › If You Were To Establish A Church, What Would You Name It? by Infomizer(op): 5:56pm On Dec 20, 2010
The rate at which churches are established in the country to day is quite alarming! As a matter of fact, I tried to put myself in the shoes of a pastor that wants to start his own church and is contemplating on what name it should bear. I came up with "Dodge the Devil and go to Heaven Ministries", Abi I no try?, Oya what about you o!!!!!
Food › Re: Lizards, Frogs, Cockroaches, Ants, Rats As Free Food by Infomizer(m): 1:09pm On Nov 28, 2010
I've actually seen a TV documentary 'bout a guy eating roaches and Men 'twas disgusting, But he seemed like he loved it, My take on this is simple: One man's meat is another man's poison, eventually if it turns out that the poison ain't that poison after tasting it, then let it be meat!, Actually couldn't bear the thought of eating frogs 'bout 3 years ago, Can't say the same now, I love dem jumpers!!!!
Christianity Etc › Re: Stop & Think: Did God Create Any Religion? by Infomizer(m): 8:03am On Oct 24, 2010
From my own point of view, Religion is a form of mind-control mechanism created by Man. Considering what our ancestors practiced, there is practically no difference between what the objectives of the priests in those days and those of the present day pastors, imams, e.t.c. (Profit and Fear). People fear what they cannot understand and those who are smart enough have taken this as an opportunity to exploit those who cannot afford to think for themselves. The creator has deposited in us EVERYTHING we need to excel in life. There are some unwritten laid-down rules that should be followed which would yield results irrespective of your religion. For example, you reap what you sow, achieve what you believe and pursue, e.t.c. You do not need religion to survive, rather, It needs you to thrive. It all boils down to the way you think, If you can't think for yourself, your pastor/imam will do that for you. And if you must think, don't be sentimental, Think for yourself and not what according to what Men like you wrote down many centuries ago. I believe in God, and not the Church/Mosque/Temples e.t.c.

A great teacher once said "We see ourselves as that which we are not and that which we are, we fail to see". We have the ability to think our way through any situation given the endless possibilities of the Human mind/brain. This is what most people fail to do because it appears to be quite difficult. Hence, we seek solace in "the easy way out". ---Religion. Why not just live right, love God's creation, and be positive minded. GOD DID NOT CREATE ANY RELIGION!!!

Lest I forget, I still find it hard to accept ANY religion's explanation of the creation of the world and life after death (if there is any). I'm open to anyone's attempt at convincing me o!,

OMO IBO:
I have absolutely no problem with profiling people but this new measure will not change anything for people with Nigerian passports.

If you've got a Nigerian passport you are still going to get 'the look'

Computers › Re: Did I Get A Good Laptop Bergain? by Infomizer(m): 4:34pm On Apr 02, 2010
I don't know 'bout any other person's opinion,  But here's my take on this, The netbook is BRAND NEW and comes with an ATOM N270 1.6GHz dual core processor and other cool frapapas like webcam, wireless, blue-tooth, 160GB HDD, 1 GB RAM. It doesn't have a CD ROM though. It has a 128MB intel graphics card, card reader and 10" screen, It's actually worth about #92,500 alone (CONFIRMED). The HP Deskjet d2563 printer  costs about #13,500 or thereabout. The 1Year internet access is worth #16,500 (4,500 EDGE/GPRS USB MODEM and 12,000, 12 months [1.2 GB] internet access @ 1000 [100 MB] per month). You also get a 1 year warranty and after sales service (If you purchased it from PZ). Do the maths your self and see if you got a good buy or not (Don't fail to consider the installment payment scheme too).  I fink the price is pretty ok for that spec (I'm open to corrections O). Any computer nerd would tell you that too, To me, the promo is no rip off, except if the netbook price is, (I no be sales rep O!!!),  Nothing do you!!!!

semid4lyfe:
F.cukc!ng bad bargain & buy . . . .poster could have gotten a HP laptop with better specs like Vista Home premium, 15.4" screen 2Gb ram, 250gb hdd, Intel core 2 duo processor, 1.83 GHz processor speed, Bluetooth, Webcam, 5 in 1 card reader, 802.11b/g WLAN, Express card slot, DVD+/-RW with double layer support +Light scribe etc for about N80,000. . . . .The specs of the Haier Thermocool lapie no tap sef. . . . .Even with all the jara and senrere, it's still a BLOODY RIP OFF.
That your spec is 135,000 confirmed [HP Dv6-1310ei] (Brand New), Kilode, you too exaggerate abeg, no let the poster feel bad jo!
Dual Core:
This thread woulda made more sense before the purchase.

Anyhows, its a rip off.

Breakdown
That netbook you got (why haier?): 50k
The modem: 10k
The printer, even if its HP LaserHeaven (which it isnt): 40k (this price is hyped but lets leave it at that).
Targus bag with lifetime warranty (which i dont think is what u got: its a friggin promo, you should get that for free
Internet access for one year: ZAIN  undecided

So, in all we talking 100k. My problem is not even the amount but the quality of the things bought. I dunno how getting all this at 116k makes it a promo.

Here's a better buy
HP netbook : 60k
A 3g hsdpa modem: 10k
A good printer : 30k

So we talking 100k for a good buy smiley

Then again,  "haier thermocool laptop or rather palmtop(HTCOOL A100)". Is deep freezer and A/C manufacturing that boring that they have to pass time with making a joke up in the labs and lebelling it a computer, yea palmtop whteva?  tongue

This may come in very handy on several occasions. Safeguard it like a meal ticket.
Dual core: The Zain thing is real, 1.2GB for a year to be specific, and its 24/7. It might no be enough for an Internet freak O, but its very ok for an average user. , And my Neighbor has been using is 16" HT LCD TV for more than 6 months now and no problem, The company is only trying to expand their product base. Haba give 'em a chance!!!
oyb:
i am sorry, but all haier thermocol products are excreta imho

they just get some chinkos to roll out extra low quality products and put haier thermocool on them

i got a thermoccol generator as dash last year
from the very first tim ei used it, issues - i don't expect your laptop to be an different.

i actually think you'may be  an advertiser - because i can't imagine i year fre internet access on a modem - with my 9pm to 9am starcomms , thats 60k

as for the printer, its prolly the hp deskjet, another excreta accessory that is given free with some laptop purchases, and which fails almost immediately as well.

btw i think the word u are looking for is netbook, not palmtop

its just some chinko genric clone laptop braneded as haier thermoccol.

anyway, hope their office is close to where u stay - at least u cn save on transport costs  Sad
for the fact that you don't believe something does not mean that it is not real, geddit?

Romance › Re: Can Long Distance Relationships Really Work Out? by Infomizer(m): 10:15pm On Nov 17, 2009
Long distance relationships do work. It all depends on the level of understandin between the individuals in the relationship.I've been dating a girl for almost 3 years and we are still good to go. I can count the number of times we've seen each other these 3 years. Phone calls and text messages have really helped but as I said earlier, it depends on the individuals. It won't work for everybody.

Christianity Etc › Speaking In Tongues: Are People Getting It Right? by Infomizer(op): 5:21am On Feb 22, 2009
I have read the pentecost story in the book of Acts of the Apostles (chapter 2)and when i got to verse 4, I got confused because the bible said ", began to talk in other languages, ". To the best of my knowledge, i feel that this means that religious men from other parts of the world (Egypt,Asia, Judaea,Arabia e.e.c) that were present in Jerusalem as at then heard the disciples speaking their own various languages(verse 11). I have observed that when people speak in tongues nowadays, they tend to do it in a particular format/manner which i believe is not representing any language. From the passage, i can conclude that as an Igbo guy, when the spirit comes upon me, then i'd be speaking in zulu or some other language. Am i right?, I need your corrections o!

Christianity Etc › Re: Has The Church Become Too Wordly Or Is The World Becoming Too Churchy? by Infomizer(m): 6:32am On Feb 21, 2009
I feel you brother. I've mustered over this for a while too and if you hadn't posted it, i would have done so any way, Well done, i feel that the church is becoming worldly as a result of the tactics that some ministries use in drawing the youths to God, I dont know if its pulling them to God but i know for sure that its pulling them to Church, As for the hip hop artists, i feel they wouldn't openly dedicate their successes to the devil (at least not for now), Let's just keep praying that God should take control, Peace
