Members of the Youth Agitator Nationalist Forum on Monday protested against the invitation of the President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, by the police in connection with the Offa robberies. They marched to the palace of the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, in the Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State and asked the police not to politicise their investigation into the robberies. They sang songs and displayed placards expressing how they felt about the situation.

The President of the Youth Agitator Nationalist Forum, Peter Kayode, said the group would mobilize no fewer than 5,000 youths to trek from Kwara State to Abuja to show their solidarity with Saraki.

He said:
“We do not want the Nigeria Police Force to use the Offa incident against our leader (Saraki). We are using this protest to sound a note of warning that the police should correct their action. They must make sure that this issue is not politicised.

“We are youths and we have the capacity to trek to Abuja; it is not just a verbal utterance. If this issue is not addressed, the youths of Kwara State will walk from Kwara to Abuja.

The Ojomu of Offa, High Chief Joseph Akinnola, said the palace was surprised to learn that Saraki was being linked to the suspects, adding that the community was taken aback by the allegation against him. He, however, said the police should do their work thoroughly, adding that those culpable should be dealt with and implored the police to be God fearing and ensure that the innocent will not be punished.

“He promised to help us to get more armoured personnel carriers and policemen. The state government promised a new police station.

“We want to implore the police to be God fearing and ensure that the innocent will not be punished.”

The Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Moshood Jimoh, had in a statement on Sunday alleged that five principal suspects of the April 5 robberies made some allegations which indicted Saraki.

Reno Omokri, media aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, says the latest travails of Senate President Bukolare Saraki are proof that men reap only what they sow.
On Sunday, the Police said five Offa bank robbers had named Saraki and Ahmed Abdulfatah, Governor of Kwara State, as their sponsors.
Same Sunday, it was revealed that the Department of State Services (DSS) had withdrawn half of its operatives from Saraki, as well as Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Analysing Saraki’s predicament, Omokri lamented that the Senate President, having helped Buhari to power by betraying Jonathan, would now be dealt with by a man he nominated to work for Buhari
“When the rapper Falz sang ‘#ThisisNigeria, Everybody be criminal’, many in society were outraged,” Omokri said.
“But what is happening today? The Buhari government, which gave security protection to pension thief Maina, has withdrawn security protection from Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara while linking Saraki with ARMED ROBBERY! But is it not funny that the police who could not prosecute those who stole Senate’s mace has been able to find a link between Senate President Bukola Saraki and the #OffaBankRobbery. In Kaduna, El-Rufai demolishes his critics houses. In Abuja, they link you to armed robbery! APC, I hail!
“The sad thing is that if Bukola Saraki had not betrayed Jonathan, Buhari would not now have the power he is using to victimise Saraki. There is no spoon long enough to eat with the devil. When you bring a leopard to kill your enemy, yes, the leopard will kill them. Then it will turn on you when it gets hungry! What Saraki and the nPDP thought was weakness on the part of Jonathan was maturity and the fear of God. Ironically, Bolaji Abdullahi, the APC National Publicity Secretary, that is now going to be used to fight Saraki is a man he (Saraki) nominated to that post. Indeed, you reap what you sow.”

Police Force headquarters in Abuja yesterday invited President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to answer questions relating to what the Police referred to as allegations indicting him from confessions of five gang leaders arrested for participation in the April 5 Offa bank robberies and killings of 33 innocent persons.The Police said the five gang leaders in the Offa bank robbery which left a bloody trail, that claimed the lives of nine (9) police officers.
They were statements made that the Robbers were political thugs of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

South Africa’s Minister of Health, Aaron Motsoaledi, has said ‘doggy’ style during sex is the major cause of cancer and stroke.

He said after three years of arduous research, he found out that the high pumping of blood during sex, when one is standing or kneeling overloads the veins in the legs which ultimately causes stroke.

Aliko Dangote Foundation, yesterday in Abuja, donated 150 fully-kitted operational cars to the Nigeria Police Force, with the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, declaring that government needs people like Dangote to join hands with it to grow the economy and also provide jobs to the youths. Speaking during the formal handover of the cars at an event attended by the Vice President, ministers, state governors as well as the entire Police hierarchy, Chairman of the Foundation, Aliko Dangote, explained that the gesture was because security was essential to economic development.
