I would reckon "Direction" has to be the foremost quality of success. We must know where we're headed before we can get there. Next I suppose would be the "Dream-goal", for this is picture of the future you've drawn unto paper.

At the bottom of the totem pole has to be "Desperateness", for it implies a state of hurried expectation and delibration.

So in my arrangement,

1. Direction; man gats know where e dey go b4 him fit reach there.
2. Dream-goal; this is blueprint layout. Every construction starts with this. A well-laid out scheme of how things would go.
3. Drive; This is the needed passion. It is the fuel of the vehicle of success. Without the drive, the mission would be powerless.
4. Discipline; This is usually the invisible bring between success and wishful thinking. You must be a faithful Disciple of whatever life's mission you chosen for yourself. Or should I say "that has chosen you". We are indeed called to a vocation and occupation.
5. Dedication; for this is the twin sister of discipline. A disciplined soul is dedicated. To dedicate means to "allocate". We must dedicate our time, talents and very soul to our grand vision of life.
6. Determination; This is the examination of the one's quest. And even though we deter from our path, we must possess enough determination to stay on course.
7. Doings; no action, no success. We must enact our plans in the physical realm as we had thought them out in the mental realm of imagination. We must take action to succeed. Without action, we would never get lucky. No one ever succeeded without action. Hence, it is at the lucky number 7 spot.
8. Deliberation; we must act and then deliberate on the next course of action according to the results of earlier acts. This is the process of growth. Without this review, we would never grow.

The Gnostic books of the Bible do preach of a coming apocalypse; a revelation of all truth that remain hidden. They tell of a time when the Truth and Christ shall return to humanity; the Second Coming, and a destruction of the Old World ruled by the false God of the Ego. A new Kingdom to be governed by the Christs and the true God of Wisdom, Light & Love shall reign. Society shall be set free by the truth. This New World shall be ushered in by the faithful who sought after Truth and Light at all cost, and when they find it are consumed by its power. They burn bright with the light of this revealed truth, and ignite the same fire in others. The night may be long, but the light always prevails; no matter where it is hidden.

The fearful, saturated in their Ego, filled with nothing but the air of ignorance and arrogance, hate truth and work hard to encase it up in the lies of belief. The truth always shines through underneath the layers of lies for those whose third eyes are open to see. The fearful, like sheep, are so inured and dependent on the very system that enslaves their mind, that they would fight to remain slaves when offered a path to freedom. They are so used to a system that abuses them. They have the Stockholm syndrome, and like the dumb sheep, they feel the shepherd truly cares for them, unaware that the shepherd is only after their wool, meat and milk. They are so afraid of getting lost, that they remain lost in the crowd, never truly knowing themselves or God, never having a Mind of their own to obtain Truth for themselves.

The fearful, seeking security in numbers, follow the crowd through the wide road where nothing grows to their destruction; the destruction of God, Love, Light, Wisdom within them. The faithful, filled with truth, ignite the light of Christ within them which brightens their journey through the narrow path others are afraid to take. They climb through the mountain of ignorance and arrogance of the human Ego to reach God at the top. They become Christ, anointed saviours whose lives guide and save others from the troubles of ignorance and arrogance in their own journey through life. Only then do we atone for our trespasses, and become at one with God.

The word "Gnostics" stems from the Greek word "gnosis" which translates to "knowledge". As opposed to the instituted church authority who wanted the congregation to "believe" in God, the Gnostics wanted the people to "know" God for their own selves. And since God sits in the human Mind, to know God was to know one's own self, to know one's own Mind as instructed by the ancients. As the wise King Suleiman had written in his books of Jewish proverbs, Wisdom and the Truth are to be sought at all cost. The faith of those who know God and hence themselves, lead them through life's journey back to God. The false faith of those who do not know themselves and hence only profess a belief in God, manifests as fear which blinds and misleads them on their path back to the Source.

These Gnostic teachings are much more older than Yeshua, the Christ and it's themes permeate the oldest faiths in the world; from Hinduism to Zoroastrianism, to ancient Judaism, to the ancient Egyptian cults, to Hermeticism, to our very own indigenous sub-Saharan Afrikan faiths. In fact, in pre-colonial Igbo traditions, we are all chi (soul) sent from the stars by Chi'ukwu/Chi'Uwa on a journey through lifetimes back to this very Source of creation and the Universe. Yeshua the Christ and his cousin, John the Baptist were murdered for their Gnostic views and their teachings on the apocalyptic revelation of this hidden Truth. The very word "apocalypse" means "revelation/uncovering".

According to the Gnostics, we are all made in the exact image and likeness of God; the Source. We are all clones of God in human disguise. We are spirit beings who are not of this physical earth, on a soul journey through life back to the Source. The physical world is the creation of the Demiurge; the collective Ego of humanity. This world is a collective dream held in control and sustaince by the lesser false God the Marcionites called the Demiurge. The human Ego in each and everyone of us is the deceiver; the devil, and the ultimate source of this false reality that is the physical world and hence all of human suffering. We all worship this false lesser God of the flesh and body instead of the true God of the intangible human soul and mind. God & Satan are not external beings, but aspects of the human consciousness. God reveals the Truth and the Good news of human existence whilst the Devil hides this Truth and slanders knowledge, leading to all the evil in the world. God is the Good in you; the Devil is the Evil in you.

The flat surface of the human skull between eyes and the forehead is today called the "temple", and corresponds to the location of the pineal gland sitting in the very middle of the human brain. Mystics, psychedelic medicine users and the earliest faiths of humanity have long revered this tiny piece of gland. It has been long called the "third eye/the Mind's eye", and it is indeed a vestigial eye whose actual purpose still marvels human medicine till date. To open this "third eye" was to see the truth that was always hidden in plain sight. Renaissance philosophers and naturalist referred to this pineal gland as the seat of the soul.

And that the key to freeing this Godhood locked within each and every human being like Yeshua had done, was the truth of God, life and the Universe being hidden from the general public to subvert their minds and the power of God within them; to ensure they are inured to a system of control and mental slavery. "The truth shall set you free."

When Latin and ancient Greek in which the gospels and letters of the New Testament were originally written and copied became obscure and fell out of majority usage, the Bible books were forbidden by the early church fathers to be translated into the local parlance of the people for fear of these Gnostic themes in the very Bible today becoming revealed, and disrupting the already instituted dogma of the church. Tyndale and others who had translated the Bible into local European languages were heavily persecuted and murdered by the church; their translations and interpretations were hunted down and destroyed. Imagine a world where church leaders protect Christianity by murdering and torturing other Christians for trying to spread the very words of Christ himself.

During the era of the Crusades in the Middle Ages, there was a revival of the Gnostic teachings after thousands of European soldiers and workmen stormed the Levant and were exposed to earlier understandings of the Christian faith. Documents and artefacts that were retrieved from the Holy Lands, and were contrary to the instituted authority and opinions of the Church were impounded, destroyed, re-edited to ensure that they were forever out of the reach of the general flock. Today, the Roman Catholic Church still possesses miles upon miles of these forbidden documents that are locked away from public eyes in the Vatican Villa Library. The Knights Templar and other societies that preached a new understanding of Christianity from their travels to the Holy Lands, were hunted down and massacred.

In the early Christian Church, there was a fierce battle between the Gnostic doctrines and philosophy, and the accepted doctrines of the early church priests and bishops that is today's "Christianity". Despite the persecution of the Gnostics and other schools of thought on the life and message of Yeshua the Christ by the Roman instituted church fathers and leaders, their philosophies still found a way to infiltrate the accepted and instituted gospels and letters that would constitute the New Testament books today. The early Gnostics were labelled heretics and faced torture, execution, prison, defamation, exile and all other sort of heinous acts.

I have read through some replies on the thread. And frankly, I'm displeased with the general Nigerian mentality, and our inability to read and comprehend. We're fearful to any form of change, and hence remain stuck in the rabbit hole we've long entered.

This is a post to discourage and remedy violent institutions in our Nigerian institutions that we've labelled "cultist groups". I have been automatically accused of being a cultist myself for encouraging school sanctioned groups to unite the very students the violent "cult groups" aim to disunite into factions that are ready to kill and maim at the slightest wimp.

I ask we model the confraternity societies of Harvard and other American ivy leagues institutions that have produce the likes of Bezos & Zuckerberg. I ask we see how ineffective our previous means of tackling violence, theft, intimidation, rape in our campuses have been.

There are already nationwide institutions and confraternities we've already sanctioned by law, that we could effectively promote to deescalate the bane of "cultism". We have the Rotary Club, Kegites and other of such unions that could unite young intellectuals under their umbrella, before their abundance of youthful energy is colluded for the sake of violence and crime in these violent cult groups that have invaded secondary schools, police units, military units and other government parastatal.

I weep for our Nigerian mentality and its backward effect on our progress. I rest my case. I see I am enlightening the wrong crowd; the multitude on the paved wide road.

The word "lord" translates to "god". It was a term utilized by these groups to institute hierarchy with these associations. Just look at these:

The horrors and bloodshed we see nowadays just shows that the founders have achieved their aims of helping the devil to destroy the society.

I know a little about the human societies, and I can bet with you that most of the founders of the cult groups are concious agents of the devil, belonging to other deeper fraternities of devil worship such as Illuminati, freemansory, ogboni, and other demonic groups.

Little wonder they have succeeded in turning our youths to armed robbers, political touts, drug addicts, drug dealers. They have turned the girls to oloshos and sexual perverts.

Let us wake up. Cultism it spiritual and tackling it begins from the spiritual angle.
- We need to intercede against it.
- We need to enlighten people against it. And only the truth can help.
- The government, school authorities and law enforcement agents must also play their own part.

Exactly sire... I love the points you've raised. But what remedy might you suggest? It seems quite obvious that violence is only propagating the spread of the malady of violent cults. The very word "cult" has been demonized by the media. We forget so soon that "cult" is the root word of "culture". A cult is a group of people with the same culture; the same way of life.

Our anti-cult units in schools and police divisions are infiltrated by these very violent unions themselves. It only goes to show that fighting fire with fire only stokes more flames. We can only fight hate with love, fire with water. So too can we fight these societies which are hell-bent on disuniting students, by uniting students. We must remember that the pioneer members of our nation's first confraternities like Prof. Wole Soyinka were uniters of the people through their message.

Sadly, these confraternities have been commandeered by these violent elements. For example, the Afrikan Youth Empowerment (AYE) and Neo-Black movement (NBM) were hijacked into the "" it is today, the largest secret organizations in Afrikan campuses, having tentacles stretching into our government parastatals and international bodies.

In the US, the Black Power civil rights movement gave birth to the Crips & Bloods of the '60s. It seems always that when youth unions are violently subdued, they become violent in turn, metamorphosing into an uncontrollable weed in the pasture of society. Hit the child, and you plant in his subconscious that violence is an accepted means to one's end, and you end up with a violent teenager. We have been flogging children in Nigerian schools since colonial times. Where has it gotten us? We are a society filled with violent folks who cannot think for themselves.

In American institutions, school-sanctioned confraternities and sororities are encouraged, and some of our American heroes like Zuckerberg & Bezos were members of these nationwide institutions. They hold their initiation ceremonies the same way Afrikan young males are initiated into our masquerade cults. They take oaths they uphold for life, and generally grow to be part of what is now referred to as "the old boys'associations".

We must reconnect our teeming youth population back to our roots. Our confraternities must cultivate a new culture that would better the future of their members. Only then would our youngsters end up world stars instead of gangsters, after years in our higher institutions. We must utilize their youthful energy and exuberance before it is left untamed to set society ablaze. Don't fight the secret cults, instead build a new culture for Nigerian students to congregate around. Do not fight the fraternities themselves, but the calamities that they've been encouraged by our societies to commit.

t seems the very idea of stopping young folks from clumping up together into groups and factions may be non-comprehensive of how the human society functions. Humans are highly social beings, especially so in the years of youthful exuberance. Our ancient Afrikan societies combated this very excessive exuberance and energy of teenagers and young adults, by aligning youths into productive units with the formation of age-grade societies. These age-grade associations have several responsibilities allocated to them by the general society.

So too must our Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges and Institutes align this excess energy and drive of youngsters into productive units. Schools should promote their own instituted confraternities and organizations as a means to unite the students who are responsible to the general campus society. Brotherhood and sisterhood must be encouraged under the right platforms. We must cultivate a new culture on Nigerian campuses.

For years, since the 1970's, our University authorities and the relevant government agencies have tried in vain to remedy the malady of cultism and violent secret organizations on campus. Instead, these associations have percolated deeper into the strata of our society. Now secondary schools and even government house of assemblies have become infiltrated by these bodies, ensuring violence is utilized as a tool to oppress and intimidate the populace.

But why have the previous prescriptions for this bane of cultism failed?... Well, fire cannot combat fire; so too can violence not be used to curb violence. Instead it encourages the situation. Now, the Anti-Cult departments of our divisional police units are reckoned to be populated by the very same violent cult members themselves.
