Nairalanders Good day. My Pops is a Senior Pastor in one of the Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria and has devoted his life to Church.
Ironically I don't believe in God. Never been the religious type. I See no sense that in 2022 humans still live by a book written by someone in 18BC. Doesn't make any sense to me.
Pops wishes I were religious lyk him carrying some big story book (Bible) with me about Lol.

I've advised him Severally but he won't listen. I Can't be like him. I'm Smart, Handsome, Rich and Non-religious. And I Will remain so.

One thing I have learned about life is that when we grow older, our perspective begins to change and we begin to ask questions like, what is the real meaning of life? We begin to search for something that can fill up the hole in our hearts. Remember during covid peak period, a lot of things seem not to make sense again except for our safety? Three days ago I received an sms from a company where I dropped my C.V close to two years ago. I went through it and low and behold, it was an invitation for an interview yesterday being Saturday. I was happy really. I prepared well for it, cancelled my supplying business appointment. I do a supplying business while looking forward to a good job opportunity. So, I woke up quite early dressed up and left for the venue. I got there around 8:10am while the interview was scheduled to hold by 9:00am.

I got to the venue and met two persons who was there for the same reason. Before it was 8:50am the whole place was filled up with others who also came for the same interview.

Finally, the interview that was scheduled to hold by 9:00am started around 11:30am. It then got to my turn, I went in and met three persons in there, one man and two young ladies. Then the man started the interviewing questions and I was giving out an impressive answers, while one of the ladies tried asking me a question, the man now cut in and ask, ' by the way, are you married'? I answered, 'no, I'm single sir'. He then asked again, ' were you married before'? I paused for a while and was wondering if it will be proper to let it out exactly the way it is. Then I decided to come out plain and answered that I was married, and I tried adding to it that I left because of a case of domestic violence, but he didn't want to hear that at all, so, he immediately cut in and said, 'young lady there's no need going ahead with anything else again since you couldn't manage to stay back and remain married, is it the company that you can be able to manage'. At this point, even the two ladies were more than astonished at him than I was. He ended it and said, 'Just forget about the job'. I just left feeling so devastated.

I managed to hold back tears till I got home and nearly cried my eyes out, recalling all that I went through. It's really sad that some people feel they can throw words anyhow at others not minding what those words are doing to their emotions.

Sorry dear, it is well. But I am more concern about the intention of that question. Why was it part of the question he asked? Could it be a twist or message for our law makers. I see a future trend in this question vis-a-vis the current happenings.

I always find myself in my deepest dream at night being in school classroom receiving education , this dream not one or two but oftenly I do dream of this so may times in my deepest sleep at night.

Am a University drop out, I drop out of university at 100level 5yrs ago due to some circumstances to concentrate in my chef job because I am a professional chef, been doing chef job after my high school which I learn at culinary school after my o level certificate.
Even though now am doing well in this chef field. I still feels some sort of great emptiness inside of me, which I feels is the pursuit of my education.
So, most night I always see myself dreaming about school at night finding myself inside classroom amidst other students receiving lectures.
So I want to ask , should I follows this dream and go back to school to pursue my university degree, cos is seems God is trying to communicate to me that being more educated will favour my spirits more?

God is telling you that you have abandoned projects and that you must go back and finish it. This projects have something to do with your destiny.

So you mean the pastor will marry more than one wife and ask the elder not to marry more than one wife? Are you for real? So where's the place of doing what you preach?

Those are the contradictions in the Bible we have been saying. The originality of the Bible has been tampered which reasonable Christians knows.

If you have problems of believing what is written in the Bible and getting confused of what is, I have a solution for you. Make HOLY SPIRIT your friend. HE will teach you what is and what is not, that is if you believe there is HOLY SPIRIT at all. There is what is called the LAW OF FIRST MENTION, I want you to check through the Scripture and find out where Polygamy was first mention. This will give you a guide.

Because he is overseeing the flocks of Jesus Christ. 1st Timothy 3 and must be void of every sexual lust and distractions.

Read carefully what I have written. I never said Bible forbids polygamy, however you must understand by the law of of first mention, it was during Cain era polygamy started and that's a topic for another day. What my emphasis is on is a pastor or general overseer marrying more than one wife.

Check 1st Timothy 3 and read carefully. You can use other versions of Bible for better understanding.

The problem I have with all this kind of people is that, they want to eat their cake and have it. If you want to marry plenty wives, don't climb pulpit. God is not stopping you from marrying more than 1 wife, the truth is that you can not do that as a pastor.

If you can maintain polygamy and make heaven then go ahead, but don't climb pulpit. It is a criteria. Every discipline has it dos and don't. Just like you can not ask farmer to jump in to a plane and fly, it is same here.
