Foreign Affairs › Re: As A Nairalander, What's Your Impression About The Russian Ukraine War? by inforesource: 8:35pm On Feb 25, 2022 |
It shows how weak Russia is. Let me me explain myself. My pastor used to say if you are a married man and you keep telling your wife that "l am the head of this house", he said that the man should check himself out, that something is wrong somewhere.
If Russia thinks she is world power, he should try to bomb her mate.
This same mentality is what makes me to look at those white people who racially abuse Africans. I always see them as weak and feeling inferior, because if you were not afraid of me, you would not want to make me feel less using my skin color. You should face the real issue, which is our strength and spread. Our agility and stoutness.
So Russia should go and die. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: My Funny Interview Experience With A Foreign Firm by inforesource: 7:27pm On Feb 10, 2022 |
That is the spirit my brother. Keep your head high it shall be well!!! A student of mind has this similar experience. I can't control my laughter. Supreme145: After sending loads of applications for remote web dev positions throughout December without success I stopped applying and went into blockchain development. Last week I was replying a message on my LinkedIn account when I saw this jnr WordPress developer vacancy that popped up. I just applied since it takes less than a minute to do so on LinkedIn.
I was surprised when they sent me a mail two days later with a link to an assessment which I took and submitted. They got back to me some days later to fix an interview date, I choose Feb 9 among the listed options. The time options included 7pm, 7:15pm and 7:30pm and I chose the 1st option. The interview was supposed to last for just 15 minutes.
I left Chelsea's match that I was watching at half time to prepare for my interview. I asked one of my Nairaland friends for data and he sent me 3gb, I was all set up by 6:44 pm with a Bluetooth that I borrowed from a friend for the occasion. I didn't want any stories. If only I knew what was lying in wait for me....6:52 pm.....Boom!!! NEPA took light.
My laptop was fully charged but knowing fully well that my battery was not trustworthy, it would last 2 hours when it's in a good mood and 5 minutes on it's angry days. I grabbed my charger and extension and ran off to a nearby restaurant in my area. You think Usian Bolt can run baa? If you see my speed this evening you will like me. It was a combination of Bolt and Ben Johnson. I ran like a criminal that was escaping an angry mob about to lynch him, with the way I was grabbing my PC under my armpit I could easily be mistaken for a thief by the way.
I got there by 6:59 pm, plugged my stuffs and connected to the zoom call by 7: 02 pm, the beautiful oyinbo woman was already waiting. While she was in a well lit apartment, I was in a place with red and blue bulbs with my face barely visible even though I supported the light with my phone torch light flashing straight to my face.
She smiled immediately I came online, and murmured something, omo the Bluetooth was not connected o. Something I tested before connecting to the call, I was fumbling with my Bluetooth settings while she kept talking and gesticulating if I could hear her. The Bluetooth was connected to the system but was somehow not working, she saved me from my misery when she suggested we port to google meet for the interview.
I used the opportunity to check my Bluetooth settings well and connected to the call through a link she sent to my mail almost immediately. In the middle of the interview the restaurant gen went off throwing everywhere into darkness.... Omo!!!
I had to keep shining teeth and stretching my small eyes to its elastic limit because they were the only visible things from my end. She burst into laughter and I couldn't help but join her. It was as if she was in heaven calling someone in hell. I apologized and she told me not to worry that she understands amidst another bout of laughter that she was struggling to contain.
She shaa finished the interview with the normal I will get back to you after accessing the performance of other candidates, I still apologized for my interview settings hoping it won't affect my chances, she assured me that it won't have any bearing on her decision making as regards to selection of the successful candidate. She couldn't stop smiling throughout the interview that lasted for like 20 mins.
I packed my kaya and went home. I laughed my heart out while I narrated everything to my friend who rolled on the floor with laughter. The image of my eyes and teeth in darkness was so hilarious. This was actually my first interview and it will definitely live long in my memory.
Have you experienced something similar?? Please share for the fun |

I don't understand. Did you say you got married January this year? Because I almost thought we are approaching December when I read your first statement, if not because of my children's school fees I just paid. I think you were deceived by the twitter slay queen or marriage motivator. Fred166: I married my beautiful wife January this year, I Love my wife so much, I have never cheated on her since we got married. I opened a business for her worth 900k. i've already promised her a car this coming year (well I ride camry muscle and I'm tired of sharing the car with her).
My wife is too lazy, all she cares about is her eye lashes, make-up, nails and watching Zeeworld all day, She goes to her shop 10am and return 3pm, She barely take care of the house. Sometimes the plate I used for breakfast before going to work would still be on the dining table unwashed when I return. Her make-up tools and bag littered everywhere in our sitting room.
We're expecting our 1st child, Now that She's pregnant (4 months) she's worst. Na so so chop chop, I will jokingly say babe Pls don't go out of shape I won't look ur side again, Is like the more I beg, the more she chop chop. ...weird food carvings. Coconut water and bread, shawarma and pepper soup with sugar cane in her hand, I dare not buy it for her otherwise I won't sleep.
I still cook when I'm back from work. Anytime I tried to talk to her, she would say can't I see she's pregnant, she's having waist pain, leg pain, Infact body pains. I wanted to employ a maid she refused, she spoke ill about maids, she said they are husband snatchers e.t.c.
3 days ago, She asked me to renew our dstv sub and I refused. Yesterday I noticed she has done it (first time). I saw her watching Zeeworld, laughing sheepishly and pointing to the TV, I needed to watch man united match so I changed the channel, she dragged the remote control from me and changed it back to Zeeworld, she said I'm too stingy, I didn't sub for her, I refused to buy her a car.
I don't know what to do. With her lazy attitude I'm scared during delivery she would be saying I can't push o.

Injustice is part of the reasons why Nigeria is suffering. However, I prefer Osinbanjo to Tinubu even if we want to deny East this privilege of becoming a president. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Warning To Employers by inforesource: 10:32am On Dec 06, 2021 |
inumidun2010: Can you please tell US why they pay employees LATE? Let me share my experience with you as employer for six years now. Before I opened my office, I asked myself many questions on administrative and operational aspect of my company. One of my resolutions was to pay my staff exactly month end, no matter what. By God's grace I have not failed in this yet. However, this is what I noticed about majority of the staff that left our company. This our method allows our staff who plan to exit the company to easily switch to another company after receiving their salary month end. This is usually preplanned. Their target is usually to collect full salary from us and as well as in the new company they switched to. They do not practice 30 days notice. This is usually common in small enterprises which are the major employer of labour in Nigeria. So, the employers put up a strategy to frustrate such abrupt moves that usually disrupt their business activities. They will delay your salary to make sure they frustrate that planned move and keep you working for almost half a month before paying you. When you finally receive the salary, the opening might have been close. Some employers use this as their permanent template. More so, they may be other reasons but this is the one I know about. I have witness frustration of an employee very close to me working for a company that practices this strategy. She complained to me bitterly, and as an employer I guided her through it. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Warning To Employers by inforesource: 9:23am On Dec 06, 2021 |
You don't understand. I have come to know why many employers of labor like to pay workers late and why they seem to be hard on their employees.
I made up my mind to stay good to my employees no matter their attitudes. But I will beg employees to always remain discipline n productive in any capacity they find themselves. It pays.
I know there are a lot of bad employers out there, my advice is don't turn the few good ones to monster. If you are in this side of divide you will understand. |
