The Court of Appeal in Lagos has discharged and acquitted Hamza Al-Mustapha from the murder of Kudirat Abiola and upturned the judgement of a Lagos High Court which sentenced him to death by hanging. The presiding judge accused the lower court of being “stroked to secure a conviction by all means.” Mr. Al-Mustapha was a former chief security officer to the late dictator, Sani Abacha. He was sentenced to death on January 30 for conspiracy and murder of Mrs. Abiola who was shot in Lagos on June 4, 1996, as the lower court ruled, on the orders of Mr. Al-Mustapha. Financial responsibility is a virtue you should develop in your kids. Here's how to: 1. Don’t hide the truth. Just like it’s important to be upfront with them when the family is having financial difficulties, it’s important to answer their questions about money honestly. 2. Teach them that money is finite: The concept is; ”If you don’t have the money, you can’t spend it”. Remember to reflect this attitude through your spending habits, as well, by not saying things like “It’s too expensive … but I just have to buy it!” Explain what a budget is and keep up a dialogue about how much money is available to spend when shopping together. 3. Differentiate between want and need: It’s easy for these concepts to blur for kids. Explain to younger children that you will provide their “needs”; however, older children will have to earn the money toward their “wants.” That’s especially true when you’re raising kids in a high-pressure consumer culture—one that encourages many to feel deprived if they don’t have the latest bicycle, smartest phone, the hottest 3D video game console or the most expensive pair of sunglasses. 4. Make them work. Today, many young people don’t think about any kind of work until they graduate from university, which is too late. Allow your children to have that same privilege. Nothing teaches you about how time relates to money like holding a job. 5. Give them your time. If you give your kids things because you feel guilty that you’re not spending enough time with them, you’re sending a message that things can replace love, which will steer them towards “things” for comfort. No matter how busy you find yourself, make sure you set aside a specific, regular time for you and your child. Put this on the calendar as you would any other appointment. Also, be transparent and explain why you spend time away—and that you cherish the time you have together. With these tips, you will definitely raise financially responsible kids in the future. http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/07/5-steps-to-making-your-kids-financially.html

You put stew on the fire…you subsequently go into your room just to pick up a call…and then you forget all about the stew until it gets burnt… Your dad calls you to bring him water in a bowl to wash his hands before a meal…and just then, you hear a knock on the door, attend to it and go back into your room…until your dad’s angry (or hungry?) voice brings you to a start… Your passports have been found in a book, so you decide to keep them in a very safe place. Something in your brain warns you that you may not remember this new place but you dismiss it. Just when you are in need of it, you can’t seem to recollect the "safe place" where you put it…and then you just wish you had left it where it initially was… He is approaching but hasn’t seen you…you quickly dodge and pretend not to have seen him. Nothing really is the problem but he has told you his name severally and the last time, you promised not to forget. Alas, you have forgotten again... You have tucked your pen safely in your hair…but you are searching everywhere for it… You said you didn't have to write it down to remember it...now it seems like someone Ctrl+deleted it from your memory...! Pray, what can we do about forgetfulness?! One thing I'd recommend is concentration. Always have your mind with your body, don't allow it stray always while you're having a discussion with someone or receiving an instruction. Another thing I'd recommend is that you should link every new information to something you already know; that way, you won't forget easily. For instance, if the number you are trying to learn is 20002001 and you have a baby born in the year 2000, you only have to note that the number is your baby's birth year (first four digits) and the birth year plus another year (the last four digits). And yes, do write down when you can! I trust there are other ways too...so, how have you been dealing with forgetfulness? http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/07/dealing-with-forgetfulness.html

Three hundred thousand pupils from across 600 public schools in Lagos, yesterday, set a new record for Nigeria when they brushed their teeth for one minute simultaneously. The tooth brushing was across 326 location in the state. The previous record of 177, 003 was set by India in 2007. Some have wondered where the children spat after brushing their teeth...I try to imagine too o... But seriously, I am beginning to think of something to do to make the Guiness Book of World Records too...just when I think that every idea has been exhausted, a seemingly simple one as this one comes up. Lol! Someone please help me out... http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/07/Nigeria-sets-brushing-record.html#more

Don't try to impress. Yes here it is the very big secret in front of you! The best way to impress a girl is not to impress her. Now you might be wondering how does this really work. Well when most guys try to impress girls they tend to become more unauthentic and try to show off with almost anything and everything. Girls are not impressed by such tactics and would end up putting you in the "Show off" category. The best way to impress a girl is to be yourself and let things happen automatically. 1) Natural talent works. If you thought that girls are impressed by money and material things all the time then, you are highly mistaken. If girls are impressed by your money then they are probably looking for money and not you. The best way to impress a girl and retain your status is by the way of natural talents which involve the way you talk and present yourself. You need girls to respect you for what you are and not what you possess. 2 What do you have? No girl would be impressed by you unless you have something which is different from the rest. Girls normally get hit on by several men everyday and almost all those men try to impress them with all they've got. If you are doing and following the same tactics as all those men than you would never succeed in your quest to impress girls. Show your true self while trying to impress a girl and try to be your best self. Don't talk to her with the quest to impress rather try to do what you normally do. One of the best aspects which almost every girl demands and gets impressed by is intellectuality. Try to develop your intellectual skills. This can be done by the way to reading books and being up to date with the latest happenings. Remember being a good talker is the foundation of impressing almost any girl. 3 As a girl, I can say that there's nothing we like more than being talked to by boys, even if there is an age difference. 4 Girls absolutely love to be teased! Not in a mean joke kind of way, but in a caring playful way... 5 Girls dream about having boyfriends! They really want someone dependable and caring, who will not let anything happen to them. Girls love it when they are asked out, and even if she declines, she will feel very flattered and start noticing you because you noticed her... 6 Girls love a guy who cares about her, and who won't make fun of her if she's in a bad situation. 7 Make sure you don't make her feel awkward when she is with you. 8 Girls usually spend loads of time thinking on what to wear and what to do with their hair, etc etc... so they feel appreciated when it's noticed. 9 Make it clear with flirting and body language, (nothing erotic though, which makes SOME girls scared), that you like her. 10 Girls are insecure in certain cases, and anything you do to to get their attention is positive because it shows them that someone cares http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/06/how-to-impress-girl.html

Wonder they said shall never end, else how does one describe this because to me, it defies any logical explanations (as seen in video) Medical Doctors in Chile are baffled as the young lady, Yaritza Oliva has started crying tears of BLOOD instead of tears several times a day The strange condition appeared earlier this month and since it started, with any warning, she bleeds from her eyes several times a day. The 20-year-old Yaritza visited her doctor but when no evidence of an infection could be found she was sent home with eye drops to help her cope with the pain, which she says is "indescribable". According to medical experts, they informed that It's possible Yaritza has a very rare condition called haemolacria, which causes sufferers to produce tears containing blood. May none of my readers ever experience unimaginable suffering, the kind of pain she is going through as well as emotional trauma her family members are also experiencing http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/06/woman-tears-of-blood.html#more

This was how it went: Designers were showcasing creations from their Spring/Summer 2014 Men's collection at the Dolce & Gabbana catwalk show when a streaker leapt onto the catwalk and ran up and down in full view of the city's fashion royalty (as seen in the video) He just invaded the spotlight and disrobed entirely but for a pair of red trainers. Andso, security men ran after him but he pulled a succession of bizarre, gurn-like expressions as he skipped back and forth along the catwalk attempting to avoid them all. Stars including Barcelona striker Lionel Messi were stunned...others simply gasped. Audacity or madness, what do you call it? http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/06/streaker-naked-runway.html#more

Little Xiao Wei was born with a three-inch tail sticking out of his back. The condition referred to as spina bifida, is as a result of his vertebrae not forming properly. You can guess that the mum is really devastated...she has begged doctors to help her seven-month old son. Perhaps alarming, is the fact that the protrusion is still growing. Yes, still growing... The mum says;"We have asked the surgeons to remove the tail but they tell us it is not that simple." A surgeon, Huang Chuanping explained: “The growth is quite well developed and now measures some 10 centimetres. “If we cut it off, it will simply grow again. We need to repair the spinal canal first to stop it reoccurring." I hope that will be done as soon as possible, so that this baby can live a normal life. I can imagine that some parents give birth and are so sad about few things like the lack of expenses for naming ceremony and the likes...I guess we can all see the folly in that! http://www.tutubranch.com/2013/06/baby-born-with-tail.html#more
