The lecturers are 'demanding' for better wages, oh i forgot to add, 'better academic infrastructure'. But who are the ones that bear the brunt of this re-occurring mess? Of course the students

Questions that really demand answers: Are the students who are termed the future of this great country not united to do a peaceful protest (emphasis on peaceful!) in major states of Nigeria and also on daily basis march to National, state assemblies? Are student proving Fela right by be 'suffering and smiling' when some 'fighting elephants' are holding our future at stake? What is the essence of the students unions or they are now totally irrelevant unlike the days of Gani Fawehinmi and others during their student days?

Or is that the lecturers, most of whom are fighting for their pockets (after making massive money from handouts, paid-to pass and other illegal structures a lot engage in). Wether they teach or not, strike or no strike, they will collect their monthly salaries. Truth must be told, even the lecturers that seem to be fighting for their so called students either have some of their children attending various private universities or ones outside the shores of this country. Those who cant, grudging allow their children to attend public tertiary institutions. Here, truth must be told as Nigerian students have been going through hell in the hands of these so called lecturers - you dont believe that, just create a platform for students especially female students whose lives, future and mental well-being have been negatively affected or destroyed by a lot of lecturers

Describing this as cruel or wicked is rather an understatement. The 17 year old young mother (does she deserved to be called one?) was caught on surveillance tape putting a small towel over the head of the baby who was kicking and gasping for breathe for 20 seconds only for a nurse to come in and she did as if nothing happened. Then the nurse left.

A 28-year old Chinese man got electrocuted by 10KW lines. By luck, he survived falling off the 10m utility pole as his left leg hung around the post. The unnamed man is believed to be mentally ill as he scaled the post before coming into contact with the charged metal wires being supported.

A witness said: 'I was walking past the pole, and suddenly heard 'pang pang' sounds like fire

Her emotional father said 'She was our only child, we wanted to have one last special thing together.'

“8 months pregnant with baby number 3 and CrossFit has been my sanity,” Ellison wrote in the caption. “I have been CrossFitting for 2 1/2 years and...strongly believe that

But a slew of commenters posted angry greivances on the picture — which boasted more than 16,000 likes and almost 3,000 shares by Friday morning.

“The key is listening to your body! As a medical professional, I find it appalling the number of people who treat pregnancy as an illness,” another woman wrote. “Multiple studies have shown that you can continue to safely workout, including lifting weights as long as you did it pre-pregnancy!!”

According to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, 30 minutes or more of exercise a day is recommended so long as there are no medical or obstetric complications.

The Jagaban, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was pictured with his loved ones while recuperating after the knee operation in the US

Strongman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who left Nigeria a couple of months ago has undergone knee surgery at a London hospital and is recuperating at a private house outside London, sources close to him told Daily Trust.

The former Lagos governor had the knee surgery almost a month ago and was using crutches for about a week to move about within the private house but he is now walking alone without the aid of crutches.

A reliable source who is a member of APC and one of those that has visited Tinubu in UK told our correspondent there has been improvement in the use of his knees to walk round but that he still needs some weeks for the knee to get healed properly before he could return to Nigeria.

It was also learnt that Tinubu is being worked on at present by a physiotherapist while his wife Remi, a senator, is with him.
The source said even in London Tinubu, hardly has time to rest due to the number of visitors he receives on a daily basis.


He said virtually all important persons in APC particularly in Southwest had visited Tinubu, including some of the state governors, members of the National Assembly and local government chairmen from Lagos State.

He said Tinubu and members of his think-thank group meet regularly to discuss the turbulent political situation within the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to get prepared for its outcome.

This is not a funny matter. I imagine that after waking up to a live crocodile monster under my bed, after realising its not a dream, "the blood of Jesus" will be so loud to break any wall of Jericho!

It sounds like the stuff of nightmares - but Guy Whittall woke up to reality of pictured crocodile under his bed which had giant had sneaked into the Humani lodge, Zimbabwe and spent the entire night lying quietly, just fractions beneath an oblivious Mr Whittall.


He said: 'The really disconcerting thing about the whole episode is the fact that I was sitting on the edge of the bed that morning, bare foot and just centimetres away from the croc.
'Crocodiles are experts at hiding, that's why they have survived on Earth for so long and why they are the ultimate killers in water.

'They know how to keep quiet and go unnoticed, it's in their nature.
'The crocodile came from the Turgwe River which is a couple of kilometres from the house.
'They often wander about the bush especially when it's cold and raining. I think he liked it under the bed because it was warm.'

He was forced to call in some of his co-workers who helped remove the crocodile from its new lair and release him back into Humani's Chigwidi dam.

Mr Whittall said: 'Of course he resisted being roped and hauled out from under the bed, that's only natural.
'Catching and securing a croc of any size on land though is a fairly straight forward affair and we are experienced in that.

'The most important thing is to get its snout roped and secured and then it's just a matter of restraining it and covering its eyes, to calm it down.
'Bigger crocs require more manpower obviously though. When roped they thrash around frantically and are extremely powerful.

'I just remember thinking "goodness gracious, that's one for the books".

Virginia’s Richmond Outreach Center (ROC) saw the loss of senior pastor Geronimo Aguilar, who resigned after the allegations surfaced due to allegations of very serious misconduct in a case involving inappropriate behaviour with underage girls.

Several women have come forward to accuse the pastor of sexual assault. One woman said that she was with him when she was 18. The pastor is married with five children. The woman says that the pastor took the girl, her sixteen year old sister, and two other young
girls to a timeshare when his wife was out of town.

Popularly known as “Pastor G,” Aguilar was charged with seven felonies in the incident, which allegedly took place all the way back in 1996, before his church was founded in 2001.

If he is convicted, the pastor may face life in prison. Even worse, the church found out later about several extramarital affairs that took place within the church during the pastor’s time in leadership.

“After our former pastor was arrested related to charges in Texas, the board of directors became aware of his multiple extramarital affairs with members of our church and community,” the statement said. “This biblically disqualified him from the office of pastor and leadership of the ROC in any capacity. The board of directors is committed to providing godly leadership at all levels of ministry.”

“He brought us alcohol, we got drunk and the rest is history,” Baker said. “I had just turned 18. We had sex. It was wrong. Just because it is not illegal doesn’t mean it is not wrong, and he was my pastor. I moved to Richmond to serve God.”

The woman also says that the pastor was intimately involved with both her mother and aunt.
