In line with his vision for stronger synergy in security and in the pursuit of his quest for a safer Nigeria in particular and a more secured World in general, IGP Ibrahim Idris has arrived at Abu Dhabi in the UAE, where under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, he would rub minds with members of the Interpol, at a conference entitled titled ‘Unity for Security’.

The conference is organized in conjunction with the United Arab Emirates and the INTERPOL Foundation for a Safer World, which would take place from the 28th to 30th March 2017. The conference would bring together ministers with security portfolios, senior police officials and representatives from the private sector, to collectively address common issues.

‘Unity for Security’ will enable participants to identify their responsibilities in implementing a global policing architecture, aimed at combating future security threats. Counter-terrorism, Organized, Emerging Crime and Cybercrime, which are the central concern of the Interpol, would be in the front burner of the three-day event.

A Facebook user, Iwuafor Juliet just shared this testimony of how her aunty gave birth after 21 years of marriage. According to her, her aunt got married in 1996 and had not conceived since then due to several mishaps. The woman reportedly gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Friday after carrying the pregnancy for over 3 years.

A Nigerian lady, Ezeanochie Queen has launched a search for her mother who left home when she was just 3. According to her, her mom who is half-Hausa and half-Igbo, she has been missing since 1989 (28 years ago) after leaving her home in Enugu to buy admission form..

Queen who shared more details about her mom on her Facebook page, wrote;

"This is my mum! She is half hausa, half igbo. According to my aunt she left home one day to Enugu, to buy admission form and since then, no one has seen her. .

I was three years old then and my younger brother was three months old. She's been missing now for 28yrs. All pictures of her have faded, but someone gifted me with this one last month."

Nkemdirim, a friend to Queen, added: "Pls ! Help me post this. Anybody with any useful information about her should contact ‪2347‬. Her mother is still alive and she has three kids. Thank you.

A 16 year old boy, Obinna Iwuoha, was allegedly shot dead by a trigger Happy police Sergeant, Wilson Ufere on Thursday at the infamous "Ugwu Omiri Lawyer" on Anara - Umuahia expressway in the okohia community in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. The policeman reportedly went berserk by killing the teenage boy while three others went in coma, owing to the injuries they sustained from the bullets he fired at them.

Reports have it that the tragedy happened when youths, mainly teenagers who were in a rally for their church crusade which was billed to start on March 25 (today) had a flat tyre, at “Ukwu Omiri lawyer”, a metre away from where some police men were on a road duty.

One of the police officers insisted that the youths must remove their vehicle from the place, but the youths of Emmanuel Healing Power Ministry Incorporated, Uguiri, told the cop they were unable to move a vehicle with a flat tyre. An altercation reportedly ensued between one of the police men and the driver, resulting in the police officer allegedly slapping him consistently for three times.

Ufere, who was on the other side of the road and was not a party to the argument, emerged from nowhere, shot at the youths at a close range, killing one of them while three others lost consciousness.

Meanwhile, villagers have gathered at the residence of the deceased to mourn his death...

According to reports, a week after he began dating his girlfriend Candice who is now his wife, he started writing love letters to her. Tim wrote Candice 14 letters over the course of three years, but she had no idea they contained a secret message - the first letters of each love note spelled out “Will you marry me.”

Despite Tim’s love of grand, romantic gestures, he and Candice started off as friends and now they are 'happily' married .

Photos of an Indian woman who allegedly murdered her own husband and put his body in a suitcase -have been trending online with over 15,000 shares and nearly 1000 comments on Facebook. According to online reports, the woman was trying to load the suitcase in her BMW car when a passerby saw blood falling out of suitcase and informed police.

According to reports gathered, the wife Seerat Kaur, reportedly claimed that her husband loved a lavish lifestyle despite being unemployed, was cheating on her and also used to beat her -that's why she shot him dead.

The women of Isu in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Wednesday stormed Abakaliki protesting against the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the area. The women who came in their numbers carrying placards with different inscriptions such as "fulanis have destroyed all our crops and polluted our rivers and ponds,' ' Fulanis have humiliated us' among others, alleged that one of the herdsman raped a 70- year-old widow to coma .

According to the the leader of the protesters, Florence Okoro, the herdsman sneaked into the old widow's house while she was preparing her evening meal and raped her. Okoro, who added that the hands and legs of the old widow were broken on the process, appealed to the state government and security agencies to come to their aid.

Addressing the women at the Fatilami Abubakar Park, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Augustine Nwankwegu, condemned the raping of the widow and the destruction of the farmlands of Isu people by the herdsmen.

Nwankwegu assured them that the government would take decisive action against the perpetrators of the crimes.

He told them that Governor David Umahi had directed that the culprits be fished out and allowed to face the full weight of the law.

The commissioner explained that Umahi had always emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence and wondered why such wickedness should be meted out to the people.

On his part, the Chief of Staff,Government House, Mr.Emmanuel Offor Okorie frowned at the activities of the herdsmen in the area, promising that the right thing would be done to serve as a deterrent to others.

Here are new photos of the woman who was attacked and severely injured by soldiers in Ikorodu, Lagos State -recuperating from the severe injuries she suffered. She met with her lawyer yesterday ahead of days to the commencement of the legal battle against the army. Ruth Orji was allegedly attacked by soldiers attached to 174 Battalion, Ikorodu, around 8:30pm last Sunday.

Images of her, showing the injuries she sustained have gone viral on the social media, sparking outrage.

She is pictured with the General Counsel of the JLAA, Kingsley Ughe, who has filed a case on her behalf suing the army N250m as damages at a Federal High Court in Lagos.
