Mega-Star Musician, David Adeleke popularly called Davido has declared his resolve to partner with the Rivers State Government to develop music talents in the state.

He lauded Governor Wike for being one of the best performing governors in the current dispensation, saying that his visit exposed him to several developmental projects of Governor Wike.

Davido who spoke during a visit to Governor Wike at the Government House Port Harcourt on Friday stated that Davido Music Worldwide has identified young musicians who will be promoted in the state.

He noted that his goal is to grow international music stars outside Lagos and empower more youths through music.

He announced that his organisation will organise a major music concert in Port in December where local and international music stars will participate.



He appealed to the Rivers State Governor to support the governorship campaign of his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke for Osun State Government House.

The Mega-Star Musician condoled with the Rivers State Governor on the death of the Attorney General of Rivers State, Hon Emmanuel Aguma. He prayed God to grant him the strength to bear the loss.

Responding, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike assured Davido that the Rivers State Government will partner with him to groom young musicians in the state.

“We are committed to youth empowerment. Supporting musicians to grow is one of such avenues. Therefore, we will partner with you to grow Rivers based musicians”, he said.

Former Vice President and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential hopeful, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has stressed the need to drastically reduce the growing rate of unemployment in the country by creating jobs for the teeming youth.

Atiku stated this in Enugu on Thursday during the continuation of his nationwide visit ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.
According to him, the rate of unemployment in Nigeria is alarming and all efforts must be made to nip it in the bud by making the factories and industries come alive again.


About twelve (12) million jobs, he said, have been lost while most of those that could be said to be employed are underemployed.


In his words: “Today, we are experiencing the highest rate of unemployment in the history of Nigeria and this directly translates to insecurity and that is why we are also recording worst insecurity in the history”.


Talking from his own experience as a former number two man, Atiku said “having served in a government that increased employment rate by over 7%, Nigeria needs a job creator now.

I am an experienced creator of jobs and this I have demonstrated in both the private and public sectors. At times like this when Nigeria has the highest unemployment ever, we need a job creator”

He also stressed the need for all Nigerians of voting age to take the on-going voters’ registration exercise serious.

“The coming general election is very crucial and I, therefore, urged Nigerians to get registered and ensure that you vote. Get your PVCs to enable you to vote and also make sure you protect your votes”, he said.

Men of Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 40-year-old landlord, Adegbite Taoheed, for leading a gang of robbers to rob his fellow landlords in Soyoye, Abeokuta North council of the state.

Taoheed, a member of the landlords’ association in Oke-Odo, was reported to have recruited other persons to rob the residents of valuables. Parading the suspects, who had been shot, at the headquarters of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the robbers stole an SUV belonging to Taoheed’s neighbour, also a landlord.

Oyeyemi said Taoheed, who led two others to the premises of his neighbour around 4 a.m. yesterday, met his Waterloo when the victim put a distress call to the Police. Taoheed was unable to speak to journalists, as a doctor was attending to him.

Speaking with newsmen, the victim (name withheld) said: “This morning (yesterday), while I was praying, they came to my house and started shooting. I thought that if they come in they may harm or kill me. So I asked them what they wanted and they said they needed my car keys.

“I threw the key through the window to them. They even came with 10 litres of fuel, poured it into the car and zoomed off.

SARS Operatives Seen ‘Extorting Passengers’ Hours After Osinbajo’s Order To Overhaul Operations (Video)

Many Nigerians went wild with joy yesterday when the acting President, Yemi Osinbajo gave an order to overhaul the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.

The order came months after a general outcry by Nigerians against the brutality carried out against them by the SARS operatives. Many hoped that with the order to overhaul SARS, would finally come peace.

However, this is not quite the case as a new video has emerged online showing two SARS operatives continuing with their ‘extortion and harassment’.



In this new video, the officers are seen speaking with people on a bus after apparently stopping the vehicle. It is believed that the operatives are, as usual, holding passengers to ransom before requesting for cash.

At one point, one of the officers is seen stepping on the bus. The other one stands guard looking on.

Tori.ng cannot verify exactly when the video was taken but local reports claim that the incident happened earlier today in Surulere, Lagos.

The guy identified as Miracle Eze is currently in police custody after he was arrested. According to Mike Godson, the guy runs a social media page in his name thereby defrauding unsuspecting fans who think it’s the actor they are engaging.

The guy is also accused of requesting for nude pictures from the female followers of the social media page he runs in the name of the actor.
Sharing the video, Mike Godson captioned it:

The corpse of a young lady was found early this morning on the street in Orsu area of Imo state. The deceased was left Nakked in the gutter by the roadside after being gruesomely murdered her unknown assailants suspected to be ritualists.


Emergency officials were alerted as they arrived the scene to evacuate the corpse.
