What a hectic day,struggling to meet up work target and enlightening the un-enlightened of NL NNPC thread...
Sending out DM messages to Various individual(media influencer)civil societies Twitter handle etc all done while circumventing NL,my office duties...

Guess what,I did not lose anything and was better than doing nothing and begging for SOURCE about update that's not verifiable..

Fellow APL Hopefuls, aren't you tired of coming to Nairaland everyday and feeling hopeless about how things are going? Aren't you tired of watching all the predictions of notifications fail? Aren't you tired of your hopes being dashed daily by not seeing that the recruitment process has been concluded?

I am tired. That is why I am taking to Twitter to express my frustration by demanding answers on the Recruitment.

NNPC has over 200,000 followers on Twitter meaning they care about the platform to some degree. Let us go there and request answers.

Use the hashtag #2019NNPCRecruitment. Let us make it trend. See, our fight is a just one. We are not raining curses or insulting the institution or anybody. No. We are only asking for answers about the recruitment. That is what civil people do.

Sitting back and folding our arms will not help us. Go to Twitter and demand answers.

Dont even mention Standard Chartered Bank abeg...that one na company?? They bring up vacancies to fulfil their CSR. Is that what it does in other countries it operates?? The other one was saying some of us have not had enough recruitment experience. While this isn't an achievement, I want to point out that this is a faceless forum and as such, make I keep quiet.

Things needed to be done rightly and people needed to be carried along- accountability and transparency. People have the right to request info from officials that they entrusted their resources with. This is an important part of transparency and accountability- holding your officials accountable.

As I said earlier, nothing may happen as regards this recruitment if we sit back and do nothing. Call NNPC out on all platforms, let the recruitment trend on social media for everybody to see. Let's stay woke.

We can start by storming their Twitter posts with comments about the recruitment. Let it gain steam. Let's get them on their toes. You've been hearing about contract staff protesting and gist of cancelling EH for contract staff. See, in this country, nothing may move unless you move. What do you lose by demanding that the process be concluded?

I have told you guys before, the GMD saying "soon" could be next year or later. Don't sleep with that. Call NNPC out. I have stuff I'm doing. I'm not idle but I want this stuff to just end properly. It doesn't make sense. Let's stand united guys.

If all of @NNPC group, @MKKyari posts on Twitter are filled with questions about the recruitment, they will be forced to respond. They have thousands of followers and it will be bad for their public image. Let's at least do something. We can make 100 comments per post. We can make their Twitter pages the new Nairaland thread. Let's go there guys.

It's small but it's something. Let's get our voices heard.

Please let's start engaging them on all platforms and see if it will be productive. Because constructive enquiry about something you are part of can never be a crime...

I just sent a mail to Instablog9ja requesting they put NNPC Recruitment Update Request on IG. NNPC has to be held accountable guys.

It is our right to know the outcome and to see that a public organization exhibits transparency and fairness. Even if we don’t get picked, let us at least see that it ended well.

This is our country. Let’s get our voices heard. Put it on WhatsApp and everywhere. Let our message be “NNPC how far?” Let it get to Buhari if possible.

If we don’t talk, the process will be forgotten and nothing will happen.

As Nigerians in this race called Life, we need to learn to demand for accountability, transparency and integrity anywhere we find ourselves. Those of you that are hearing or being told of cases of malpractices and corruptions in this recruitment exercise should speak up not just to yourselves, but to NNPC and the world.
