doyinbaby:Dont bet on that my dear. The M.Belt is already a conquered area, they've become so completely subdued that they cant even challenge their masters despite turning their area into killing fields. The M.B is already suffering from Stockholm syndrome, they will always side with the north or at best some of them will be neutral, same applies with parts of the ND (Edo and parts of Delta) will support Nigeria while Yorubas (due to economic advantage) love Nigeria as much as the Hausa/fulani and would want to maintain the status quo! |

Biafman:What many do not know is that a war between Biafra & Nigeria has started (all thanks to Nnamdi Kanu that created massive awareness about it). Biafrans are already embarrasing Nigeria in the global arena and it would only get worse with time. Pen is mightier than the sword. |

chiefmidwife:Brain is always mightier than brawn! Truth be told, We stand little or no chance if we take up arms for several reasons (in fact our enemies especially the hausa/fulani and yorubas particularly are praying for this). Britain will still want to protect their contraption. Yorubas, M.B & even parts of N.Delta will still team up with the Hausa/fulani to attack us, then what chance do we really have in winning? We shouldnt give our enemies another chance to destroy us now we have succeeded in rebiulding our cities and closing the gap, even surpassing them in many areas already. WE CAN GET BIAFRA WITHOUT FIRING A SHOT! We can win in pschological warfare by sabotaging Nigeria on all fronts and instigating other oppressed groups like the ND & MB. Nigeria is already broken and failed to survive our added onslaught. Internet & our millions of brethren across the globe will make it easy for us!! 1 Like |

kettykin:Not just foriegn powers like Britain & Russia sending in weapons and advisers to them under the guise of helping Nigeria to quel insurgency but the fact that yorubas, the rest of the north and parts of the N.Delta will still team up with them to rout us! This is the basic reason why we should never take up arms in our struggle. We can still win this war psychologically by attacking Nigeria on the cyber space, waving Biafran flags whenever we have super eagles matches especially outside Nigeria, stirring up sentiments in the ND & MB etc at a point, they will be so frustrated that they will beg us to go. We have the numbers, intelect, global reach, resources etc to achieve Biafra without firing a single shot! 1 Like |

@harristo, you've made valid points, in fact what you postulated is very similar to my earlier post; Reason Why Other Ethnic Groups Are Scared Of Joining Igbos In Seeking Break Up. Nigeria is made up of over 280 ethnic groups with 3 major ones. Among these 3, Igbos want break up, Hausa/fulani do not while Yorubas are neither here or there, they choose to sit on the fence waiting to join which side that has the upper hand! Hausa/fulani clearly has the advantage because they control the security and politics of the country which they use to push the other hundreds of ethnic groups behind them. The Igbos are now extending a hand of friendship to the N.D (another grossly cheated area) to make up to an extent. The Igbos are faced with 2 options, either to take up arms face the rest of Nigeria (this would be suicidal for several reasons) or a psychological war & obviously they've chosen the later which gives them a good chance of winning considering their global reach, literacy, industry, resourcefulness etc. 1 Like |

I'm into writing and digital marketing with level one batch to show for it but writing niche is very competitive and not being a native English speaker worsens the odds. Sanchez01:I disagree with you on your second paragragh. I'm also a businessman and what is going to happen is that traders, especially Igbos are very competitive. They will either source for money and import more goods with the new exchange rate and cut prices or risk loosing their customers. People are going to China & Dubai everyday, so smart businessmen will sell cheap to gain new customers while others with old stock will be forced to follow suit especially now that demand is very low. |

jagorinho:Why are you talking like a primitive person? Yes Igbos are dominant in Lagos simply because it was the former capital and most infrastructure and facilities were biult there, same way we are the majority in Abuja today. Again, if we can travel to other places and displace them only goes to show our credibility. I hope you've seen how beatiful and viable Igbo cities are. The moment we balkanize, we wont need Lagos to import, travel out or enter, biuld our HQtrs etc so naturally we abandon your Lagos for you while our cities will grow geometrically. Igbos are in Ogbomosho, Sarki, Kafanchan, Zungeru and other remote places to collect your "widows might" and send back to Biafra as remitance & that is the secret of development despite all odds!! 2 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Ohanaeze Ndigbo To Capture Data Of All Igbo by InvestinOwerri(m): 2:50pm On Mar 23, 2017 |
For the very first time, Igbos now have a true Ohanaeze leadership that is focused on our wellbeing without trying to curry the favour of Abuja. Igbos are finally alligning their interest to a common goal. Very soon the SE vs SS Igbo dichotomy will be a thing of the past. This is a first step that will ultimately lead to the much needed referendum for us to determine our fate & destiny. We are surely making remarkable progress in our quest to leave the ZOO. Their trump card will be to bribe us with Igbo president which we will definately shove into their faces! The ZOO is beyond redemption and we must getaway before it finally collapses! Igbos should limit their investments to the S.East, Igbo parts of S.South & Akwa/cross areas of SS. gbegemaster:One Nigeria is a pipe dream bro. Nigeria had the chance to turn our adversity into strenght but due to the greed and wickedness of a particular tribe that is so lazy and laid-back to compete with others, they rather brought in a celebration of mediocrity known as federal character/quota system and everything collapsed under it. Finally, they felt that the only way they can continue to enjoy their cheating of others is by holding the Igbos down but unfortunately for them, the Igbos are a proud, educated, well travelled, industrous and big ethnic group. The Igbos are now fighting back like wounded lions, attacking everybody & anybody in frustration. They would rather see Nigeria destroyed than live like 2nd class citizens in it!! 8 Likes 2 Shares |
Politics / Reasons Why Other Ethnic Groups Are Scared Of Joining Igbo's In Seeking Break Up by InvestinOwerri(m): 3:28pm On Mar 21, 2017 |
It is no longer news that Igbo's are desperately seeking to breakaway from Nigeria and form their own republic of Biafra. Also, it is obvious that majority of Nigerians have become fed up with the country and the way its being run but what has confounded many pundits and also angered most Igbo separatists is why they have all remained docile instead of joining them in the struggle. I decided to do some research and brainstorming on the reason(s) why others choose to be with a "decaying Nigeria" than go their separate ways. Below, is the "secret" reasons why Nigeria has remained one despite the confusions, mass killings, bad infrastructure, injustice, corruption, stagnation and hopelessness. The breakdown is on regional basis. (1) NORTH CENTRAL (Middle belt) ; This region is one of the most heterogeneous parts of Africa. Wit h so many ethnic groups and diverse religious people. The people of the Middle belt have suffered greatly under one Nigeria. They have seen their culture and tradition eroded by the dominant Hausa neighbors, many of their languages are fast going into extinction or have done so already. They are treated as equals whenever election is around the corner but once victory is achieved, they are dumped to obscurity and persecution. Lately, they've have seen ethnic cleansing that can only be compared to the Darfur genocide by the government of Sudan sponsored Jan.ja.weed militia. One would think that they would naturally clamour for break up in the face of all these persecutions. Verdict; The people of middle belt found themselves between the devil and the deep blue sea. A broken Nigeria with Hausa/Fulani joined with them is nothing but suicide. They will face total annihilation! Gideon Orkar knew this, which prompted him to attempt excising the NW and sahel areas from Nigeria during his ill fated coup. On the other hand, a country of their own may also be an invitation to anarchy & chaos due to their differences and may not still put an end to Fulani massacres. SOUTH WEST; The Yoruba's have not suffered as much as the M.B or their fellow southerners. Aside the humiliation done to their leaders like Abiola, Awolowo, Diya, Kudirat etc, they've gained tremendously from one Nigeria. Lagos has become one of the most important cities in Africa and has continued to grow into the neighbouring states largely on the strength of 180 million people and resources from the N.delta. Verdict; Yorubas know that a balkanized Nigeria will mean the possible collapse or at best a shrinking of Lagos when Igbo's and others leaves en mass, oil companies, banks and crude proceeds terminates, ceases to operate or relocates. They may likely not get Illorin back and their economy may retrogress, so they've preferred to manage a failed country than an uncertain future. They would rather seek for regional autonomy or a republic of Southern Nigeria than total break up of Nigeria. SOUTH SOUTH (Niger delta) Just like the middle belt, Niger delta is another heterogeneous part of Nigeria. The Niger delta has suffered terrible pollutions, injustice, deprivation, They have the largest deposit of crude oil per capita in Africa and would also have one of the highest GDP per capita should they have their own country but the problem of having diverse ethnic groups with conflicting interests may turn the country into a war zone with warlords carving out territories for themselves. Verdict; The Itshekiri's will not want to be in a "Niger delta rep" with Ijaws after what they have suffered in their hands in Warri. Same applies with the Ikwerre while the Akwa/Cross region will rather go with Igbo's than share country with Ijaws. P.Harcourt and Warri will be flash points. They will rather seek for resource control or republic of Southern Nigeria than piecemeal break up. |
