With the way Ibos do wail about GMB interview, I can't believe they also elected a person as dull as Kalu not just as a Governor but also as a Senator.

All these Tinubu agberos will just be talking rubbish.

I just watched the video and I can categorically say that Orji Kalu is far better than the old, senile and ex drug lord you're campaigning for.

Your hypocritical post can only deceive gullible people.

No sane Nigerian will vote for Tinubu but I will like him to contest so he can be roundly humiliated.

I wonder the kind of re.tar.ded mentality contemporary rulers in Nigeria now have. You see them making diversionary populist statements without substance.

Asking people not to eat beef or trying to ban it totally will never work, as long as Nigeria still remains one nation.

The only way out is provide alternative for consumers of beef. Asking someone that like beef to stop eating it and go for pork he doesn't eat is rubbish.

How much does it cost to establish ranches?

What stops these governors in the South from establishing animal husbandry research centers that will be mandated to crossbreed and produce high meat yeilding cows that are resistant to trypanosomiasis/tsests flies?

What stops these governors from providing loans for graduates and also guiding them on how to establish mini ranches sustainably?

In the old Eastern region, Michael Okpara established so many farm settlements, plantations and even a huge cattle ranch in Obudu! If those leaders with little resources and information at their disposal could do all these, then what excuse do these governors paying lip service have??

If the 17 Southern governors should establish 3 ranches in each state while empowering their indigenes to emulate them and also providing them soft loans and other logistics, in less than a decade, the entire region will be self sufficient while thousands of jobs will be created with increased revenue.

Crime / Re: Nigerian Soldiers Caught On Video Beating Up Two Policemen In Ibadan by InvestinOwerri(m): 11:15am On Jan 09, 2022
When they call Nigeria a zoo, some people will get angry but I even think zoo is an understatement because it's actually a jungle!

How on earth would a supposed federal army be beating up federal police in public??

In a sane society, those soldiers will be under serious prosecution right now!

But because this is a mad country filled with lunatics, the policemen will go home to nurse their wounds silently. The soldiers will return to their barracks with stories of "gallantry" to share among grinning colleagues and even superiors.

What a dog eat dog society where madness is the order of the day. Even the citizens too are here cheering the soldiers and using the argument "police are wicked" to justify it.

Yesterday, it was an army commander jumping red light only to end up hitting the convoy of Lagos State deputy governor. Instead of the foolish deputy governor to take up the issue and see to its logical end, the fool instead chose cowardice and sued for peace. Would he have sued for peace if it was a private car or commercial bus that did that?

Not less than 90% of Nigerians are now mentally sick because of a narcissistic jungle with zero rule of law.

My friend I always speak nothing but the truth. You just need to pay a lot more attention. My arguments are always sound and backed by empirical evidence.

Nigeria is only working for a few mostly northern elite - but rest of the country has become a sea of poverty - where nothing literally works - not even electricity

Now you're mixing facts with fiction. You're right when you said that the government works for some Northern elites, particularly Dangote. However, irony is that only the Northern region is a "sea of poverty". If Southern Nigeria should be a country, Kenya won't even come close in terms of HDI.

Unfortunately, the Northern politicians encouraged mass procreations while discouraging western education, based on their own brand of voodoo politics and sheer wickedness. That's why most of the ills currently bedeviling Nigeria occurs in the North, poverty, Illiteracy, insecurity etc.

Nigeria is currently bullish in terms of tech ecosystem start-ups. Same way Lagos overtook Nairobi to become no1. is also how Nigeria is about to rank tops in Africa, judging by the trends.

Kenya is a very brutal open market economy - companies face brutal competition - many die - because of stiff competition. This is not Nigeria where a few Northern Dangote elite uses Abuja to enact MONOPOLIES - and can never fail - even if they charge Nigeria an arm and a leg. See Dangote selling you cement at 4,200 Naira grin grin grin. for 50 bag of cement.

When Nakumatta/Tusky/etc died - all their places plus more were taken. Now Naivas is approaching 80 stores. Nakumatt at it apex was 64. Tusky nearly got to 70. We have many stores opening.Show me an empty stores that was previously occupied and has no takers :

FIX you monopolies, open up your economy and you'll be like kenya - THRIVING.

How do you explain Dangote getting interest at 12 percent - while a Nigerian is getting 30 percent?
How do you explain Dangote getting to buy dollars at 380 - while a Nigeria goes to black market to buy at 550 to a dollar?
How do you explain Dangote not paying taxes - but simply tarmacking the road using his cement - a road that serves him?
How do you explain import restriction - with exceptions granted to some connected Northern Nigeria - while rest of Nigerian have to smuggle everything from Benin and Camerooun.

After all this concession - Dangote sell your cement almost 3 times more than Kenya grin grin - he becomes a multi billionaire - the country overtakes India as the capital of poverty.

If you have a true open market liberalized economy like kenya - one mistake you're OUT - bankrupted by competitors - one strategic blunder - you're DEAD - you have to stay on your toes - sell at cheapest price while offering the best services -

You often vituperate a lot of hogwash but the truth sometimes falls from your mouth cry cry

And you seem to follow up on the politics going on in Nigeria, you just presented some facts here undecided undecided

It wasn't about Nigeria.

But since you've brought it, cool. Click this link below, read it carefully then come and complete your submission. Don't just pick small substrata of information then overlook the rest -that's why I came up with two different categories of ranks - from countries to cities.

In general, South Africa is the giant of startup ecosystem followed closely by Kenya. Nigeria comes third.

And please, being represented by 7 cities means nothing. South Africa is represented by 4, Egypt 2, Kenya 2 in that order. It doesn't mean the rest of the cities are sh*t.

https://africa.businessinsider.com/local/markets/here-are-the-top-5-african-countries-with-the-most-developed-startup-ecosystems/23v1mx8

On the contrary it means a lot, if it means nothing as you claim, there won't be a need to have a section for it.

Let me explain it to you, having several cities being ranked shows that tech start-up ecosystem is widespread! It means that there is massive potentials for growth unlike countries that have just one or two cities ranked, such as Kenya.

While Kenya has just Nairobi and Mombasa, Nigeria has Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, P.H, Enugu, Kano and Benin city, cutting across every region!

Listen my friend you have to open your eyes don't stay in your village and make noise travel to other African countries and see for yourself Benin Republic is in front of Nigeria in development even Zambia and Zimbabwe and in front of Nigeria in development. Please do not stay in your village and make noise if you do not have enough of money just take a trip to Ghana Cote d'Ivoire Liberia and see what they are doing. Shallow mentality is not good

You seem to mock Nigeria with so much bitterness and hubris yet with very little intelligence. Countries that have huge population will always rank lower than countries with smaller population in terms of HDI. That's why an economic powerhouse like Germany with all its advancements will still lag behind the likes of Luxembourg, India will trail Vietnam despite being far more economically advanced.

The reason is because highly populated countries will most likely have unproductive sections that will drag its aggregate figures down. Based on that, if Southern Nigeria were to be a nation, its HDI figures will be among the highest in Africa, but Northern Nigeria happened on us!

This is what we should be talking about in this centuary.
Kenya increased one spot this year to rank 61st globally, 1st in Eastern Africa, and 2nd in Africa. The city of Nairobi decreased 20 spots to 136th globally, but still ranks 1st in Eastern Africa and 2nd in Africa. Nairobi also ranks in the top 100 globally for Foodtech, Transportation Technology, and Energy & Environment Technology. Contributing to the improvement in Kenya's ranking for 2021, Mombasa is new to the rankings as the 2nd city in Kenya at 756th.

Retail sales are utter nonsense.

It seems like you East Africans have a tunnel vision worldview.

Firstly, the same article you're bragging with ranked Lagos as no1 ahead of Nairobi.

Secondly, while Kenya has only two cities ranked, Nigeria has SEVEN!

It's ridiculous how you overlooked all that to push your Kenya/Nairobi supremacy. And lest I forget, that category is obviously for Africa and Middle East.

Thank you!

Yeah missed it, last I checked Ethiopia is daming a river that feeds the Nile river in Egypt and that is a cause for concern as Egypt is even contemplating war since such dam could lead to there demise.

The Niger river flows from North to South and not the other way round. When you dam a river, it's the lower part where it's flowing down from that will be affected.

Almost the entire Nigeria's economy is domiciled in Lagos and if that state should be a country it will be among the biggest economies in Africa yet what do we see; grinding poverty, decay and filth, broken and rundown infrastructure with 90% of the residents suffering and living in deplorable conditions. Then you wonder what the hundreds of billions of naira generated as tax and federal allocations is being used for considering that most of the existing bridges, rails and roads where all established prior to 1999. Well, the answer is not farfetched if you dig deeper, a former drug lord has pocketed everything! The volume of money he packs from the state vault is so big that he uses bullion van to evacuate them.

Election is a contest between two people and that’s what many fail to understand in politics.

If in 2023, PDP presents an Atiku then the dynamics will change and people will be split on who to vote for between Asiwaju and Atiku and that’s when you’ll see majority people standing behind Asiwaju.

However, if PDP presents a more credible candidate in 2023, like a young experienced man, then you can say Asiwaju might lose because people will be more willing to vote younger people.

IPOd have been crying all around, using Mr. Canceller on Nairaland to open almost 100 moniker per day to like and share and kid themselves that they are winning.

People are starting to understand better that the hate for Tinubu is not natural which explained why most of his posts are now getting more likes.

Youths will always have their say, but the people (older) that actually vote will always have their way.

Except if he chose to backdown for Osinbajo, Tinubu will be the president in 2023. Let’s just wait and see

Most of you bigots can be so ridiculous while living in your fool's paradise. Let's even assume that it eventually becomes a contest between Atiku and Tinubu, you still believe that the bullion van theif can defeat Atiku? How possible is that?

Atiku lost narrowly to Buhari despite his massive support in the North and you think Tinubu can win him even in a free and fair contest?

Which Northerner will vote for Tinubu against Atiku?

Is it Igbos or SS that will vote for Tinubu or you think Yoruba votes is enough to make him win even when a good number of educated Yorubas won't even support Tinubu.
