- Please update me, I have not been called for medicals, the CIC website informed me to undertake medicals after the short questions asked on the site. I was asked if I was from a designated country? I clicked Yes.. Was I wrong?
Can I apply online without doing medicals?

Yes you can, their is a form called "Request for medical exams" that what you will upload in the place they ask for it...check my previous post..

Congrats to the TRV choppers. More of that. Darefestus, you are next. My candid advice to anyone comming here to study anything computing even if its business computing or anything IT related........girdle your loins with alot of programming languages,if you still have the time, look for a software company and do volunteering jobs. learn practicals enough practicals.....dem computer science here no be beans o. Na serious business. If you see codes that first year ,second year students are writting here ehnnn.....It is not a playing matter I am serious....Learn as much as you can before comming so you won't be like romanus in class...Godbless

my big Oga Jengbetiele Sir, i dey great...sorry i forget to personally thank you cos you helped me alot...i really packaged my application based on what you have submitted...will contact you if i have something more to ask.

And about the programming stuffs, thank God i'm good at it smiley i program in almost all the latest programming languages...programming is my hobby, that's what i do for fun...and it fetch me alot of money...LOL grin

What exactly do u mean by 'the request for medical exam'? And what did u upload? I haven't applied though. I intend to go for medicals immediately after submitting my application. Is dt a good idea?

If you did not do an upfront medical exams and you apply online, when feeling the online questionnaire you will see the question that ask if you did an upfront medical exams, if you choose no, then the next question will be if you live in one of the designated countries(which Nigeria is among), if you choose yes then during your online application you will see a place that will ask for a form called "Request for medical exams", just click on the question mark to the right you will see a link to download the form, download and tick the place they ask if you will like CIC to contact you for medicals, upload the form and that all.

Hello all,

First of all i will like say i'm very lucky with my application and i know it's just prayers. I did not submitted much documents since i don't have much to submit.

I must say must of the times when i see the list of docs people post here asking for a review before they submit there application, or the docs people have already submitted, i always get scared that my visa application might be refused since i didn't submit much docs. I have no travel history, in fact i never travel outside the Nigerian border, my longest travel is to Lagos for my Biometrics cheesy. I never had any work experience since i'm still a corper undergoing my NYSC, i have no other home tie expect my Mother, Siblings and my long term Goal(which i clearly stated on my SOP), i have no other sponsor apart from my Mom who earns a pretty good salary but has nothing in her account since she use the money for day to day activities.

But some few pages back, a brother here classifies visa applicants as "Simple" and "Complex" applicants, after seeing that, i consider myself as a simple applicant, this help me so much in reducing the tension, i just keep praying and hopping for the best.

But my application is unique in a way, i was giving a full scholarship from my faculty covering both tuition and living expenses. also i was going for masters in Computer Science which is the same course i did during my B.Sc, i graduated last year. so with all that being said, here are my docs.

I submitted online on: April 11 and did my Biometrics on April 16.

CIC Docs

- Application Form
- Family information form
- Letter of Acceptance
- Request for medical exams (which i uploaded in the place they ask for "Request for medical exams"wink

Financial documents

- Scholarship letter from my faculty indication full scholarship in the amount of 17500 CAD per year for two years and an opportunity to apply for teaching/lab assistantship which i can earn more money.
- My personal SOA with balance of about 1m
- My mom payslip and SOA
- Letter of consent from my mom
- Two certificated of land owned by my mom
- Mom work ID card and promotion letter

Supporting documents

- SOP (A very detailed one)
- Two letter of referees from my B.Sc. lecturers
- B.Sc Cert
- B.Sc Transcript
- NECO result
- Cert of my Industrial training during B.Sc ( which i did in an IT department of a Bank)
- Cert of IT related conference i attained during my B.Sc
- An award i received from my undergraduate faculty as the Best Software Programmer
- Cert of birth
- Police Character Certificate
- NYSC Call up letter since i don't have NYSC discharged cert
- Letter of introduction from my NYSC PPA since i'm doing my NYSC at the IT department of a government organisation
- Study permit questionnaire

That's all guys, Thank you all!
Sorry about my long essay grin

OK! some good news at last, after about 7 weeks of waiting, praying and hopping for the best, i have just received my medical request from CIC...i know i haven't been on the timeline but i have been observing stuffs from the background to help me reduce the tension, i always prayed to be the one to share some good news after seeing many refusals lately and God has answered my prayers. i applied on 11 April and did my Biometrics on 16 April....will update you guys about the docs i submitted in a couple of hours cos i'm going out now...and lastly thanks to everyone on this forum who has helped me when i posted my first question, and also those that have been helping others, and to the rest of the medical hopefuls, I WISH YOU GUYS THE VERY BEST...i must say the waiting is not easy, probably the hardest part of Canada visa application.

Hello everyone, please i need help.
I have gotten admission for my M.Sc from a University in Canada, with a full faculty scholarship in the amount of 17,500 CAD per year for 2 years, now i want to apply online for my visa and i have been going through the posts on this thread. I have a few questions to ask about the financial requirements. I have letter indicating that i have this scholarship from the University, i also have about 1.2M Naira in my account (which is more than the tuition for one academic year), and my mom who is willing to support me with any money i might need is working with a monthly income of about 300,000 Naira, she can provide me with her statement of account, she also has two plots of land and is running a small business, i am currently doing my NYSC which i will finish before the course start so i'm not employed.

I want to know if these documents: scholarship letter, my SOA, my mom's SOA are sufficient for me to prove to the VO that i have sufficient money for the duration of my study in Canada. Or i have to add another statement of account from a relative with some hug amount of money in the account.

Also about the family ties, please what documents do you think i should use to convince the VO that i have no intention to stay in Canada after graduation cos i'm not employed, i have no business and i have no fixed asset.

Please i hope you will help me with these answers because i want to apply this week for the study permit online.
