According to the assistant training officer of the FCT Coaches Association, Kenny Owojori, Ogaba lost his life on Thursday in Abuja after a brief illness.

Ogaba rose to prominence in 1987, when at 13 he was the youngest player on the Nigeria team to the 1987 FIFA U17 World Cup in Canada. He will then play professionally in Portugal and France.

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Rivers United was involved in a ghastly motor accident and have consequently written to the League Management Company (LMC) to postpone its league game against Ikorodu United following an auto crash involving the team on Thursday.
Rivers United is billed to face Ikorodu United in an NPFL clash on Sunday, July 30 2016 at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

In Nigeria Federation cup played on Wednesday 27th July, 2016, Referee Ola Obayemi was captured running for his dear life in this video after he disallowed what appears to be a legitimate goal by Warri Wolves and the players chased him down the stadium before the security officials intervened. Meanwhile the match ended 1-0 in favour of FC Ifeanyi Uba who go through to the semi-final stage.
