Oloyede noted that JAMB would not allow anyone to take undue advantage over others, saying the board would not repeat the mistake it recorded in the last examination as regards this development.

The JAMB registrar said the body would begin the 2019/2020 examination process by October, promising that the procedure for the next examination would be better than the last one.

“We are on with the 2018/2019 admission exercise. This, we started just about a month ago. We believe that by the end of October, we would then begin the 2019/2020 admission.

“I can assure you that we are fine-tuning and learning from our mistakes last year. We are perfecting the processes and procedures, ensuring that no one is allowed to have undue advantage over the others.

Oloyede, who did not disclose the exact number of the applicants expected for the 2019 exercise, said measures had been put in place to ensure that all applicants are minimally qualified.

“It is difficult to say the exact number of applicants we are expecting this time. We expect to crash the number because many of those who are taking the forms are not even prepared or qualified for the exam.

“Some are SS1 students, who are just trying; contributing N5, 000 unduly to our purse. We are putting in place some checks to make people who want to apply to be minimally qualified.

“That’s where we are moving to, rather than creating unrealistic figures. We cannot say actually this is the figure but we are trying to ensure that we don’t have unnecessary luggage.

“We are not interested in the money. We are interested in having adequate preparation for those who are genuine students,” he added.

After Grande’s performance, Ellis had brought her to the podium, where he cracked a joke about her name sounding like a Taco Bell menu item and awkwardly greeted her on stage.

Two pilgrims have died in Saudi Arabia out of the over 55,000 Nigerians that arrived the kingdom for Hajj.

The Head of National Medical Team of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Dr Ibrahim Kana, confirmed this on Monday in Arafat after two million Muslim faithfuls from across the world successfully performed the major highlight of 2018 Hajj.

The deceased - a male from Lagos and a lady from Kano - died from diabetic complications.

He said the Lagos pilgrim died in Muna on Sunday, while the Kano pilgrim died in Makkah a forthnight ago.

6. The animal shouold be laid on the ground with ease, and not with undue force

7. One should hasten in slaughtering. Undue delay must be avoided

8. The animal should be left for a while after slaughtering before commencing skinning

9. after slaughtering, the head should not be cut off nor should the animal be skinned until all movements has completely stopped

10. It is necessary to slaughter with the name of Allah (tasmiyah). The proper words for the tasmiyah are "Bismillahi Allahu Akbar".

11. If a Muslim forgets to say the tasmiyah at the time of slaughtering, then the animal is still Halaal. He does not need to say the words afterwards. However if he/she leaves it out intentionally, then the animal is not Halaal.

12. It is more virtuous to slaughter the animal with one's own hands. If one is unable to slaughter, it is advisable to witnesses the sacrifice

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson, returned to Nigeria earlier today after the death of his mother, Mrs. Goldcoast Dickson, popularly known as Mama Gogo in the United States.

He was received on arrival at the Port-Harcourt International Airport by the Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Foster Ogola, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Konbowei Benson, members of the State House of Assembly and other important dignitaries.

According to reports, the governor became emotional and sorrowful as he broke down in tears in front of those who came to welcome and sympathise with him. 

Mrs Gold Coast Dickson passed away at the age of 72. 

She died of cancer on August 9th at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, Texas where she had been receiving treatment.

Governor Dickson expressed appreciation to the Centre especially the team of medical professionals who did their best to save the life of his mother.

Here is the corpse of Mr. Yahaya Umoru, the son of a House of Representatives aspirant, who was beaten to death for alleged ballot box snatching during the by-election in Kogi state over the weekend. The deceased was killed while allegedly attempting to snatch a ballot box at a polling unit in front of the palace of Maigarin of Lokoja.

It was gathered that pandemonium ensued when some thugs chanting “Imam must win” stormed the polling unit and attempted to snatch the ballot box at the Unit.

Some party supporters at the polling unit resisted the attempt, leading to the beating and stabbing of Yahaya Umoru.

Yahaya Umoru was the son of an APC House of Assembly aspirant for Lokoja 1 Constituency and was visible throughout the electioneering in the build up to the election.

Police authorities in the state have vowed to apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act, urging the youth of the area to maintain calm as the long hand of the law will soon catch up with the murderer.

"It makes me anxious and nervous." I will not argue with the fact that studying prophecy can be complex and overwhelming

To help you begin developing an understanding and appreciation for this difficult topic, I have compiled biblical answers to four of the most frequently asked questions about the Rapture.

*1. What signs indicate that the End Times are near?*
The Rapture—the raising of the Church into heaven (1 Thessalonians 4:17 )—is the next event on the prophetic calendar. The following signs indicate that the End Times are near.

*The Sign of Deception*
Many people will claim to be the Messiah and claim to have the answers for a troubled world. Jesus says to “take heed”—literally to keep our eyes open so we are not fooled. In the End Times, people will be crying desperately for leaders to deliver them, and they will seek mystics and religious leaders who claim to have deeper knowledge.

*The Sign of Disputes Among Nations*
As wars and dissension among groups of people begin to escalate, we know it is a sign of Christ’s return. The book of
Revelation tells us that the Tribulation Period is filled with war—ceaseless, unending, terrible war—that will escalate until the world is involved. The Bible says that as we move toward the End Times, there will be constant talk of conflicts, border skirmishes, race wars, and national battles.

*The Sign of Devastation*
Today, as you read this, millions of people in the world are going hungry, even though God has blessed us with a fruitful, abundant planet. As we get closer to the End Times, there will be more and more famine. There will also be earthquakes, something that science has said will happen. Christ also spoke of pestilence: the spread of new diseases. Our world is experiencing a spate of tragic new diseases that we are unable to control.

The Sign of Deliverance Into the Tribulation
Just before Jesus returns, there will be an explosion of antagonism toward God’s people. Christians will be persecuted. We are seeing this happen today with the rise of ISIS and their horrific attacks on Christians in the Middle East. As we grow closer to the end, many will pay a high price for living out their faith in our world.

2. Why should I avoid determining a date and time for the Rapture?
The fact is, we cannot calculate the day Christ will return for His Church because God specifically chose not to reveal it to us.
When the apostles asked Jesus about the apocalyptic time, He replied gently but firmly, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you" ( Acts 1:7-8 ).
Only God knows what time it is, and only God knows when time will run out.
Future truth impacts present responsibility. It is the knowledge that His coming is soon that puts a little bit of urgency into our step and determination into our service.

3. Will I be a part of the Rapture if my body is cremated?
When the Scripture says, "The dead in Christ will rise," it is speaking of the bodily resurrection of believers. At this time, the spirits of believers will be united with their perfect and complete resurrection bodies. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first [no exceptions!]. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 ).

If God can do the hard part of calling creation into existence through His spoken words, then it will be no problem for Him to call back the bodies of those who have been swept into the sea, or consumed by fire, or tragically maimed and murdered by vicious and murderous attacks of an enemy.

4. What will happen in Heaven after the Rapture?
After the Rapture, Christians will come before the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10 ). The Judgment Seat is not about whether we will enter heaven—we’ll already be there because our sins have been atoned for in the substitutionary death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It will, however, be a time to give an account of the works we have done on earth, and we will be rewarded accordingly. We’ll be assigned places of authority in the coming Millennium based upon our faithfulness to God when we were on earth, as well as the influence we left behind.

This is a wrong definition for a "wife material" and myopic as well ... All I see here is an industrious young lady not ashamed of who she is.
