To consume 33k litres daily? That is a full trailer tanker per day.

Unsustainable, especially for a poor state like sokoto with very low IGR.

Hydro power station may be expensive, but surely is the cheapest source of electricity and a state can embark on such projects, though, may span over 3 years.

Sokoto state has water, to build a dam shouldn't be too difficult for a state govt and that will take care of the fuelling for an acceptable length of time.

Turbine and other required facilities are almost same price with the fuel-driven system.

Alternatively, since sokoto state is blessed with high intensity of sunlight, they sell the installed equipment and re-invest in solar power generation.

I still don't understand how a state will invest such huge amount in fuel-driven project without guarantee of fuel supply. angry

Keep making inconsequential noise all over social media.

$Trillion emergency stimulus.

So what is Nigerias budget?

Far less than $20 billion.

Keep waiting for free food from the govt or find a way to permanently relocate to US. You can move to US through Atlantic Ocean.

I don't know if someone by any chance had told you the issues surrounding your existence is tied to my comments on nairaland.

However, if that is the case, at least you should have put your brain into use to keep others in doubt about your state of health. As it stands now, all doubts have been removed. You can now get along with your fellows and rub minds together instead of hoping into my mention and continue typing nonsense.

There are both Christian and Muslim agencies at the federal govt level. And I doubt if there is any difference in their funding from the federal govt.

However, your interest is how the Muslims spend their allocation, even though you are not a Muslim.

And here you are fuming and attempting to insult both tribe and religion over what is entirely non of your business. Is this how you were brought up or a nature?

If Muslim hajj is subsidised, is same not applied to christian pilgrimage? Aren't there Christian bodies and organisations whose staffing are borne by the federal govt?

Very good one from both govs.

Okowa invited tambuwal to commission roads in Delta state. A sign of good relationships for development of states.

Meanwhile, as projects like this are ongoing, some backward miscreants have their eyes deeply fixed on Buhari and Tinubu. Maybe these are the individuals stopping them from seeing abiama.

I did not invent our GDP per capita which is less than 2000 dollars and on that basis, 30k per month, is perhaps the best the government can muster.

I insist we are unimaginative hence the low GDP per capita. I'm not a solving government of a lack of imagination but as I often say, you cannot get apples from a maize farm.

I tell you, we have so much raw materials to create various things the world would desire but do we?

We talk of power supply but have we found a local solution to the problem?

If we haven't, its because we aren't thinking.

I would continue to beat this drum - produce or perish.

Subsidies would go this year.

The subsidies would go because a local alternative to imports, in the form of the Dangote refinery would come on stream. Of course, this may have to be reviewed based on how Covid-19 affects its take off.

I don't know how to communicate this, but as someone who travels quite a lot, the one thing I ask myself in every society i find myself is "why are these people so successful?" And I can only point to productivity as the reason.

We have cocoa but do not make chocolate.

We have hides and skin but we aren't known for leather works.

We must produce no matter the excuses.
