All this lie will end in 2017.
How can a girl cause distraction to a grown man?
There are guys that have attained greater heights in academics, and they give credit to that special woman in their life.
All this bullcrap must end.
That's what you get when you don't define a relationship; boundaries are necessary.

Just when we thought it was gradually reducing, it has taken a very drastic turn. Wetin I wan use Buhari poster they do?

See, the thing is you can't stop people from worshipping Jesus Christ. I don't have a poster of him in my house but I do have a bigger picture of him in my heart. Besides, apostles of old had the same mindset as I have. They made Jesus the bigger picture, and even in the face of death, they remained focused and grounded.

Bros,

While I agree with in you in part, I also think we are running a not sustainable system in our higher institutions. At this rate, govt will contnue to have these problems with lecturers as govt is not the right organ to run higher institutions. Universities and Polys should drive towards autonomy. They should be self-funded. Let govt privatise some of their stakeholding in these higher institutions and let private players come in. Universities can more than generate enough that will not only pay all the welfare of the lecturers, but will also adequately equip it and leave some money to spare.

In foreign institutions, private organisations pump huge amount of monies into universities to fund research and also as part of their social responsibility. The amount of money in the foundations of some universities abroad is more than the foreign reserves of some African countries. We really need to rethink longer term
I pray so.
EducationRe: ASUP To Begin Indefinite Strike November 13 by Isaacmacdon(m): 7:43am On Nov 07, 2017
Asup and ASUU are only expressing their grievances towards the rather repulsive and disgusting treatment of the education system. Imagine the huge amount of money being owned -- Abacha's loot can settle this issues sef. But this current government lacks the mind of openness and straightforwardness. Even the last government isn't to be left aside. Pdp literally crippled the education system by owing huge amount of money, and because Government is all about continuity, APC, literally inherited the problems. There should be a total overhaul of the system. Education should receive more funding. Slash the salaries of senators, and the percent gained is enough to pay up the said debt.

Mediocrity is a norm with too many Nigerians... Trust me i've been around...

Shared values and principles is a good foundation...

What belies Motivation is the problem. People lean on their canes, upbringing and trust it so absolutely, they don't see the need to make adjustments to accommodate the other individual...

Anyways, not to derail the thread, leadership fades away when both parties sync perfectly and is replaced by partnership...I feel many guys don't even like the alpha role thingey, and would prefer a partnership so the atmosphere isn't tense and with the lightness, focus can be channeled to increasing output and performance of the unit...

Cool right?
My thoughts exactly.

A man is the head, and a woman the neck. Most of the women I know that are the head of their family, didn't choose to be the head -- challenges, life issues-- are the reasons why they are the head. Women, most times, needs the reassuring presence of a man. I've heard several women -- most of which are the Heads of their family, business etc, saying they've always wanted man to take the reigns.

Another fake news capable of wrecking more havoc, and seun keeps pretending like he doesn't see stuffs like this. There's no confirmed source. That's how accusation was leveled against the military, but there wasn't any picture or image showing exactly what happened.

I think I've said too much already.

Seun, do not let your mods put you into a serious problem. I suppose you know that we have an eagle-eyed government now. Please, take down any thread that has an unconfirmed source.

A word is enough for the wise.

Hmm, my mind has been stimulated. Seriously speaking, the way our world is going, right now, is something to be wary of. The concept of morality is a debatable one, but nonetheless, there's beauty in truth. We've seen situations where it's either you conform or be annihilated. In the case of the French women and the burkini, I personally, think that deciding to stand out despite the pressure, is as a result of what they hold so dearly -- in terms of religion and faith; these are deciding factors.

We have nuns, and monks, practicing celibacy and sexual purity, based on the concept of their beliefs, or their religion.
Anything that doesn't have a source won't stand the test of time. Morality must be borne out of the tenets of one's faith or beliefs.

There's this craze about being open-minded, to what extent does one become open-minded and what is the limit? We should hold on tight to our core values and morals else we lose our essence and identity, easily bending to the opinions and ideals of others which would result in a very clustered and unhealthy life.

That being said, gone are the days I try to be indifferent with the LGBT community. What is wrong is wrong and what is right is right, there's no grey area. Your reasons do not and would never make it justifiable, I believe everyone has very sound logical reasons for every terrible thing they must have done yet it doesn't justify their actions. Let's not put this in a class of it's own and make excuses for these terrible acts. It's unnatural and wrong and should be condemned.
Very true. I concur.

If you read the last paragraph you’d see where I said if you like support or don’t support. But it’s their personal choice and it’s none of your business as long as they are not harassing you. You mentioned they should be whipped; I’m not telling you to support them all I’m saying is stop acting righteous and saying it’s an evil spirit cause sin is sin. If homosexuality is an evil spirit then the same fornication that is accepted so widely is also an evil spirit and fornicators should be whipped. If you’re a true Christian you’d know that.

Also I understand how public looting affects everyone but how does someone personally choosing to be a lesbian actually affect you directly? Why do you care about their decision so much when they probably don’t even know you exist? I’d like you to explain that part.

I checked your profile before I decided to quote you and you said “people are diff, be tolerant” but your comments don’t reflect on that.

PS: I’m Straight and I’m not a Christian.
Indeed, sin is sin. But, you talked about how would someone being a lesbian affect me; that I think a couple of peeps here have been able to address. I understand your line of thought, but I choose to think differently.

As for you checking my profile, that was totally unnecessary. I understand the fact that you wanted to sound intellectual, but maybe you went offtrack.

As per why I'm concerned about their decision when they know I don't exist, maybe you need to see more rather than hear. Homosexuality, fornication, bestiality, etc are going mainstream now. I fear for my kids, Lil siblings. Majority of the people coming out as lesbians, fornicators, bisexuals etc were lured into it because the internet and media made look normal. Oh, I should fold my hands and let innocent-minded children get their lives messed up? I'm sorry, but I refuse to be a fool.

You know what, I'd advise you spend more time with your bible. Since you said you're not a Christian, I'd like you get a bible and read from Ephesians down to 2 Timothy. Maybe after reading this, you'd come to terms with the truth.

I, strongly, condemn any form of immorality. Any form whatsoever. My condemnation of the act doesn't making me a hypocrite. I think you've not met a repentant fornicator, homosexual etc. They condemn it strongly, than I ever did. So I'm beginning to wonder where you're thinking from.

We have more people saying we shouldn't condemn the act. As much as my bible tells me that we shouldn't judge or condemn people, it also says we should condemn every act of immorality and sin. This is pure and easy logic.

It's either a couple of them here are bisexuals, or homosexuals. That's the reason they keep telling you God says, "Don't judge". It's very appalling to say the least.

I strongly condemn any form of immorality whatsoever. I condemn the act, and pray for the liberation of those involved in it.

God also condemns fornication and premarital sex. Also condemns judging other human beings. Can you proudly say you haven’t committed any of these sins? If the answer’s no then be the first to cast a stone. If your answer is yes then you are just as guilty of sin as a homosexual.

In all honesty whether you support it or not, nobody is forcing you to be gay and it’s not your life and also not your business so simply turn your face and walk away, it’s not that difficult.
Are you bisexual? And who gave you the right to influence my decision? I condemn every and any act of homosexuality. It's my business. I have kids to protect. You saying I should mind my business goes to show how demented your mind is. Such mindset is the reason why there's more evil in the world today. It's just like saying I shouldn't condemn the looting of public funds, if I've stolen my mother's money. Where's the power of sound judgement? Are you even a Christian? Please, I'm willing take this conversation to the highest limit.
RomanceRe: Pamela Adie: "Coming Out As A Lesbian Is The Best Decision I Ever Made" by Isaacmacdon(m): 6:28pm On Oct 12, 2017
Since God has termed homosexuality an abomination, I perfectly support the condemnation of such ridiculous act. Damn, there are a whole lot of beautiful women to sleep with, and one stupid guy will come out and start saying he's attracted to a guy? Hell no! They need deliverance. Maybe a whip laced with fire would drive the evil spirit away.

It's really disgusting. Bisexuality is becoming rampant these days. A whole lot of people are proud of such despicable act. It only goes to show how wrong our world has been in the last few centuries.
PoliticsRe: 5.5 Billion Dollar Foreign Loan: Your Debt Profile Is Rising - IMF Warns Nigeria by Isaacmacdon(m):
I saw a list of countries with very high foreign debts, and surprisingly, the US is number one. But, come to think of it. The united states spend more on acquiring weapons than improving infrastructure. You may begin to ask why did they choose to do stuffs like that. Firstly, the united states is a country with a masterplan. Dating back to a couple of years ago -- let's say 50 to 60years ago-- they focused more on infrastructure and economic development. They kept building and investing in the country. They did a whole lot. Now, they've been able to sustain that massive economic growth, and they know the consequences of war and insurgency. They spend on military hardware and other sophisticated weapons, in other to protect what they've suffered to build.

Nigeria, is a country without a plan. We let insurgency and other militant attacks cripple what we've suffered to build. We also have greedy set of individuals, who go as far as looting the national treasury, and that's the reason there has been massive shortage of funds. Failure to diversify is also a critical issue. Only if Agriculture and other sectors were given proper attention, we wouldn't have requested such huge amount of money from the IMF.

God help us though.
