Like I said in the thread that was pushed to the front page yesterday, APPLY at the risk of High Blood Pressure and Disappointment.

Total should focus on paying their old scholars even upto 2013/2014 some of whom are being owed as much as 3 years arrears.

It might leave you agape but it's the naked truth.

Total has continued to imbibe in the shameless culture of advertising for scholarships when it is clear that the company has no interest in investing in csr activities that can actually benefit the general public.

Someone with a modicum of conscience in Trans Amadi or Victoria Island should stop this charade. There is nothing worse than false hope.
I thought someone addressed this issue on the other thread. Besides, the person even quoted you. He mentioned the fact that they(total) began paying up long time ago, and that they even paid the 2013/2014 set.

If you meant well, why go with soldiers.?

Do immunization nurses go around with soldiers in time past.?
As much as I can remember in time past, there wasn't anything like soldiers escorting medical personnels during any immunization process. But, have you thought why soldiers where used? It could be for fear of being attacked by ipob; which has now been termed a terrorist organization. Imagine in the process that these medical personnels were partly northerners and Igbo's as well, and were sent to carry out the exercise, but in the process they were attacked by Ipob, based on the fact that they are trying to poison the kids. The east is a tight zone currently, and everyone is cautious -- even the government. A lot of people asked why they used the military, and I think I've been able to give my reasons.

Very disgraceful attitude from perceived educated persons. Even the schools didn't officially confirm what exactly was happening before spreading ridiculous statements.

The reason why we suffer, is because, psychology hasn't been given proper attention that it needs. If we had individuals majoring in psychology, and using the Nigerian students as a case study for their thesis, something of this nature would never happen. Some of those students stopped having a focused concentration as at about 12.00pm. Okay, we heard they had almost an hour break in between, but that doesn't still justify anything.

Our psychologists need to put what they've learnt into practice. They need to stop working as bankers and secretaries. They need to come together and form a massive organization that'd keep writing to the ministry of education, on the basic adjustment needed in the educational sector.

There's time for everything.

bloodofthelamb:
OP, THE GRACE OF GOD IS FOR ALL...CHRIST WAS AND IS THE FRIEND OF SINNERS.
YOU CAN WIN HER OVER TO THE LORD'S SIDE WITH LOVE.
Exactly. Do people marry for religion or for love? Love is the reason people get married, and that same love would also cause a change in character, attitude or even religion. Christ didn't just die for Christians alone; he did for all. Besides, we Christians weren't deserving of his love. I can vividly remember that The Jews were chosen by God, but their high-mindedness and discrimination led to them losing the mandate. You don't live Christianity because you want to convert Christians; you live it because you want to reach out to all souls on earth. The greatest achievement any Christian can get, is when his life and attitude, attracts people from other religion. Christ attracted a whole lot of people to his fold, and they shared in his grace. Being a Christian doesn't categorically qualify you for eternal life. It's your total belief in the Christ Jesus that qualifies you for eternal life.
Christianity EtcRe: No True Christian Will Marry A Muslim. by Isaacmacdon(m):
I'm really surprised with the responses here. It's just like saying you'd not marry a Yoruba girl, because she's not an Igbo person -- in the context that the Igbo's were the only recognized tribe by God. See, I'm disgusted with the display of self-righteousness on this thread. Christ didn't die for a specific group of people; he died for all. That's the reason the Jews are living in misery right now.

See, I will marry a Muslim, if and only if there's a true love burning in my heart. Irrespective of her religion, I'd show her love, and I'd continue living righteously. I won't condemn her because she's a Muslim. People keep referring to where Paul said we shouldn't be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Did you really understand that particular scripture? or did you just quote it so that you'd look righteous?

Words keep failing me right now. Gosh, I've seen a situation where a Muslim lady converted to christianity, out of genuine love for her husband, and she loved the way he lived. Who are you to condemn others, when Christ never did?

See, You're in no position to determine what kind of partner God gives you. If God gives you a Muslim, then there's a reason why he did it. Enough of this self-righteousness that is on display here.
A lot of you will go to hell because of it. Remember, your life, your will, your everything, belongs to Christ now; and Christ belongs to God. So be rest assured that God is the determining Factor of your life; he does with your life as he pleases.

I'm really disgusted right now.

Obviously, the news spread like wildfire the moment it made Nairaland frontpage. I've been insisting on investigative journalism. Seun needs to clamp down on these irregularities. Several times, false news spring up from this platform, and this particular platform has grown, therefore attracting news agencies and corporate individuals looking to get firsthand, credible, and reliable information.

This is the biggest forum in Africa. It shouldn't be courting controversies.

Like I said before, if this doesn't stop, I'd file a petition to the body in-charge of reviewing the Internet space in Nigeria.

Give the best out of your hard work, for God will bless and multiply your needs.
God is not a fool. You can fool your pastor -- it depends on the authenticity of that pastor, for there are false prophets in our world today-- but you can't fool God or the holy spirit. Go and work hard and bring your tithe to God's altar, and you'd see the blessings overflowing excessively.

Partly because those who preach to them live more than double standard lives themselves, aside from telling them only about worldly prosperity.
Must you shoulder blame on those pastors for preaching worldly, when you should be condemning the double standard of living by most Nigerian youths. You've only justified the actions, when you should've condemned it. Besides, if one dies tomorrow, God won't bring the pastors to come and stand for you during judgement.

Is human free-will responsible for earthquakes (e.g. the recent one which took place in Mexico, killing school children), volcanoes and other natural disasters for which no human can be held accountable?

If you're a loving dad and you allow your child freedom to play in the neighborhood, if they start to misuse the freedom to the point where it is becoming detrimental, would you not use your authority (power) and, out of love, for their own good, withdraw the privilege? Also, why do the innocents suffer?

@ the BOLDEN part. This tells me you're a complete idiot who, like the cavemen in Plato's Allegory of the Cave, is happy living in ignorance. Take Socrates advice for "the unexamined life is not worth living." Don't die in your ignorance.

To get the answers to these questions is not a hard nut to crack. Just take a pill and go to the other side of life. I believe you'd get your answer the moment you wake up in the other side.

Free-will. You choose your path. A lot of people have chosen to do evil, that's why there has been rampant evil Ij the world. You asking this particular question is also borne out from the very evil part of your life. No right-thinking individual would start asking these questions.

Christianity EtcRe: The Mercy & Grace Of God by Isaacmacdon(m): 11:52am On Oct 01, 2017
You waste your time trying to prove the inexistence of God, while there are proofs and valid arguments to counter your assertion. You rally round, thinking you're hurting God; not knowing you're hurting yourself. And the end of the day, the painful reality would stare you in the face. Your unbelief is entirely your problem. Even demons believe that there's a God. These atheists needs to read the bible more.

Hmm, I like your perspective on this. I'm choosing to think that'd it'd get better. I feel that ignoring the bad thoughts of people would only make it very interesting, but I'm fazed by the fact that ignoring people's bad thoughts would only spell more danger, but at the same time we could still attack those thoughts before it develops into something catastrophic.
Take the issue of north Korea and the nuclear test. As at now, we don't know what Kim yung un is planning. If we could see through people's thoughts, we could change a whole lot of things.

My take though.

PoliticsRe: The Truth About The Hausas by Isaacmacdon(m): 11:37am On Sep 18, 2017
I totally agree about hausas being humble and down to earth. Most times, it depends on the individual. I do business with the Hausas and I can tell you how truthful and humble they are. An Igbo man is always looking for a way to cheat you in everything. Go to Alaba Intl market and you'd see the igbos at their greedy best; unless the ones that have become more loving and accommodating.

I agree with what you posted. Most Igbo people are cocky and filled with pride. Igbos are not marginalized; they are the most successful tribe in Nigeria. An average igbo man would never want to settle for less; even when he's starving. You need to see the way an average Igbo man behaves when he just wins a jackpot. He shouts down at anyone who dares to stand in his way. Nnamdi KANU is a clear description of an average Igbo man. He's cocky, proud, talkative etc. Such mentality is the reason why there's slow growth and development in the Southeast. Look at Peter obi and his repulsive behavior. He boasts about all he has done, while others has done more than he ever did. Sullivan Chime is a different kind of an Igbo man; he practically turned Enugu around.

My point is this: An Igbo man is always concerned about success, and that way he makes sure he gets it by all means; even if it means sacrificing his mother's head. Greed is also an issue.
