I wonder what kind of person seun is. I thought he should have told his moderators to confirm the authenticity of a post before pushing it to the frontpage. All these false informations are spreading more hate and encouraging war. I wish there was a body in charge of reviewing the Nigeria Internet space; I'll just file a complaint to the body as regards the lack of professionalism on the part of seun. We've had enough of this fake stories going around today. Most media agencies come here to source for news and information. Nairaland is a powerful brand and shouldn't be used to push irregularities. Enough of this Ipob issue; it's heating up the polity. Take down any thread bearing a news that is unconfirmed. |

Insulting everyone that supports ipob will not help you get a job.I implore you to please help yourself. NB. You can reply by starting with "shut up" Foolish enough for you, you didn't really go through my post in the last couple of months, reason being that you're as lazy as fvck. Scared of ipob? really? Is that all you could make up in that dead brain of yours? Ipob are toothless animals. They know how to bark but can't bite. As for you, you better go and enlighten yourself and stop behaving like an ignoramus. Upgrade that your chinko brain! |

No! This kind of your objection are things some people read and conclude that IPOB members are illiterate. Eke40seven: Doesn't exist in the dictionary of army? The things that come out of the black man's brain!! I just showed a white guy this your post, His face is pink like, "These your ape friends again?" Why are we so backward? Why has the black man's brain failed to evolve? Why? You think this is the end of it? You are wielding guns against unarmed civilians and calling the victims cowards? Well, I had given up on the black race a long time ago, Nigeria especially.
The government should look for better ways to address this issue.. Are you blind? Did you just wake up from an age-long sleep? Unarmed citizens my foot. Didn't you watch the video showing them wielding dangerous weapons and tossing it at the rather harmless army men carrying out a patrol? You're either blind mentally or otherwise. It seems you've not been going around looking at individuals clamoring for secession. They pose a threat to lives and property. Why did they attack innocent Hausa's in aba? Harmless you say. You're ridiculous with that mind of yours. |

If you go through my comments in the last few years, I've been criticizing the current government for their bigotry and ridiculous handling of the nation. I, vehemently criticize both parties. His agitations won't and can never benefit my children. |

I just pray it dosen't get out of hands. The catalonians are peaceful in their agitations; they didn't promise to burn Spain down. Don't you get it? If you don't have any reasonable thing to comment just read and ignore the post it's that simple than creating a show of shame for yourself. Obviously, you're an ipob supporter! I think the word 'shameless' doesn't describe your assertions. You claim to know it all but you've failed to see the hate speeches the leader of ipob has been making! For chrissake he called innocent humans 'pigs' and threatened to burn down the nation. Your lopsided thinking disgust me. You claim to be highly intellectual but you've decided to be a sentimental and biased entity. For heaven's sake, both the Nigerian government and nnamdi KANU are guilty of separate offence. |
Politics › Re: Femi Falana: "Buhari Should Withdraw Soldiers From Nnamdi Kanu's Residence" by Isaacmacdon(m): 5:39pm On Sep 13, 2017 |
Pythondancef: I have been a silent reader on Nairaland but I had to register just to tell how disappointed I am with Buhari and the military. I have traveled far and wide and I tell you that it's very hard to see military men(in uniforms) in other countries. I traveled to the US last year and I didn't see a single soldier throughout my stay. I only saw soldiers on TV but never did I see them on the streets.
It's totally unacceptable and unconstitutional of the Nigerian Army to invade civilian areas in a show of force. You don't intimidate civilian populace with weapons, especially in an area where the tension is high. It's complete terrorism on the part of the Army and I would like to advise them to stop whatever they are doing. The police should be deployed in cases like this.
It's just like a lion threatening to eat a rat and then few weeks later the lion comes closer to the rats house all in the name of "Show of force". Don't you think the rat would attack the lion just to gurrantee its safety? Don't you think the rat has reasons to attack first because of fear? This provocation by the Nigerian Army should stop, this Biafran issue should not be escalated further. The military should leave the court to decide Kanu's fate, they cannot take laws into their own hands.
I am not a Biafran supporter in anyway. All reasonable Nigerians should be against this madness. If we don't condemn the Nigerian military now, they will do this over and over again with impunity and you wouldn't know when it's going to be your turn. You might praise the army and condemn the Igbos now, but remember that we live in a world of karma.
I agree with Falana and all Nigerians APC or PDP should do the same.. Dear Mr. Silent reader, why do you have a biased point of view? Why are you sentimental and very opinionated? You've only displayed the attributes of a man with plenty words but with no sense. You should have condemned Nnamdi's hate speeches towards the nation, but you decided to be lopsided in your thinking. If A secessionist in the u.s makes these statements nnamdi made, he'd be dealt with secretly. It wouldn't even be the U.S soldiers doing the dirty job; it'd be the secret service or the CIA. Condemn both sides and not one. |

Romance › Re: Is It True That Ladies Do Not Know What They Want? by Isaacmacdon(m): 4:30pm On Sep 01, 2017 |
I had to come down from my tree to relay my opinion on this issue. First of all, women are indecisive, and it is a result of their emotional nature. Will is the organ of decision. Mind is the organ of thought, while emotion is the organ of affection....
Looking at it critically, a woman is highly skeptical about anything and everything... When you say women don't know what they want, it's just the tip of a very vast emotional world. When it comes to making decisions, women are likely to be very serious when making one. Besides, before a woman would have made a decision concerning anything, she must have had enough reasons to go with that particular decision, but the onus lies on the flawed nature of humanity in general..... Everyone makes bad decisions....
Back to what you said @O.p, Women are emotional beings. We've seen situations where a lady is dating two guys at the same time, it could be that both guys are having separate attributes that she'd have preferred in one guy, but she doesn't know how to go about it. Men in general, needs to be more apt and attentive to a woman. Some of us have sisters that confides in us about their fears, and this goes to show us more about the nature of women... You can't really say that they don't know what they want. It could be that they've decided to play the cautious card, as a result of past experience or so.

BiggySammy: Bros i dont mean to bug you, but you dont personally know this guy so dont conclude based on what you see. Just because he's flaunting his cash doesnt mean family or whatever you consider more important arent foremost on his mind. If being wealthy doesnt guarantee happiness, being poor never guarantees same too. Now i would rather be rich and unhappy than poor and unhappy. Yea steve jobs couldnt save himself, but there are several indigent people too who couldnt save themselves from what he died of. Life is vanity and money isnt everything, but make sure you are wealthy first. Hmm, thank God. I'm really glad you've come down to a reasonable conclusion.... What you've just said seems like what they've been saying but yours has a different meaning because of your ability to reason deeply about what I said.... Being wealthy is a privilege. I'm not disputing the fact that it attracts a whole lot of opportunities. Being wealthy gives you fame, Cars, businesses, women etc, but when I meant that it's all vanity is because of the very timid-minded individuals we have in our society today... A lot of people commit heinous crimes as a result of seeing someone flaunt their hard-earned money... Hope you get my drift?? I insisted in my earlier post that we should strive to earn a reasonable amount of money in other to curb the get-rich-quick menace. Hope you see my point now? I'm really disappointed that people fail to digest an opinion first before spilling out trash..... With the way the attacks came, it goes to show that we are indeed living in desperate times. I didn't mean to sound pessimistic, but that's just the way they saw it. |

WhiskeyTangoFox: Typical of Nigerians to downplay another man's success. U claim to go deep Bt remain shallow and myopic as ever. Stating the obvious, who doesn't know this is a material world? Does dat mean u dnt strive to be ambitious or as comfortable as u can be? U see him flaunt money, do u know how many philanthropic efforts he has made to pple in need and less privilege? This holier than thou attitude sickens me. Always choose to focus on the controversy.
