The man is wrong , the foreign born in the team will feel targeted every nigerian is equal and should have the same chance to represent their country irrespective of where they are born BascoVanVeli: That man is not talking down on anybody. This is the same guy that has spent so much of his own money on developing the women's game in Nigeria. He gave us Oshoala, Okeke, Ajibade and many more. This is what kill many nigerian coaches they can't do away with their sentimental decisions isan: Invitation Of Players Of Nigerian Descent To Super Falcons Will Kill NWFL - FC Robo Chairman
Chairman and coach of FC Robo, Emmanuel Osahon has criticised the invitation of foreign born players to super falcons.
Osahon who spoke to exclusivenews.com.ng in Abuja right after his team secured a place in the final of the 2021 AITEO Cup, said the sudden invitation of players of Nigerian descent to super Falcons will kill the growth of the game and will lead to exodus of players to foreign club before they are even ready for such stage.
'I am not happy, honestly, it is like they are trying to derail the course of NWFL, Nigeria Women Football League. In recent times NWFL has produced star players for the national teams'
'Four-time Africa's best is a product of NWFL and many other players but you are abandoning those players for some girls in the college because they signify interest to play for Nigeria at the detriment of locally grown players, then there is a problem'
Randy Waldrum has invited over 15 players born outside the shores of the country to the national team since his appointment with four new players expected to be capped in Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament in September.
Ghana, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa, Morocco and Nigeria as the host country have been confirmed for the tournament while invitation has also been extended to Argentina and Romania
The super falcons are already camping in Austria in preparation for Aisha Buhari Invitational tournament slated for Lagos,Nigeria |

Okobi has lost her touch she doesn't have those splitting pass anymore , she played the wing back way too much and didn't make her progress as an Attacking midfielder , dennerby was benching her for ajibade at 2018 Awcon opener , T payne is far better than okobi atleast on current form Schemerkhiz: No big threat from any of them... Ngozi Okobi have got the advantage ahead of them including T Payne.. T Payne is very good but lake that final third pass which Okobi does better within a blink of an eye..
By the way T Payne is one of Randy Waldrum favourite in the team, she won't be lacking playing time at all because she could fit in any position upfront even as a wing back which Okobi can also do.. |

I think this watford girl is going steal a shirt very fast like alozie did , okobi starting shirt is under real threat with payne and Dada in the team Schemerkhiz: Oparanozie recalled as four foreign borns earn first Super Falcons call ups
Former captain Desire Oparanozie has been recalled to the Nigeria fold after two-year absence for the Super Falcons' training camp in Austria this month.
Oparanozie, who was a captain of the West African nation that reached the knockout stages for the first time in 20 years, last played for her country at the Fifa Women's World Cup finals in June 2019.
Personal issues, including her alleged role in the team staging a sit-in protest in Grenoble after a 3-0 Round of 16 loss to Germany in France caused her to fall out of favor with the authorities under coach Thomas Dennerby.
However, the return of the 27-year-old striker to the senior women's national team came on the heels of the pardon from the NFF leadership following her written apology letter to the Nigeria Football Federation.
Besides Oparanozie, two other players back in the squad after a two-year out were striker Ini Umotong, who impressed with English Championship side Lewes ladies, and striker Ebere Orji, who has been a standout for Swedish side Sundsvall DFF in recent weeks.
Leicester City defender Ashleigh Plumptre, Watford's Adekite Fatuga-Dada and Swedish born Hackens' sisters duo of Josphine and Evelyn Ijeh - duaghters of former Nigeria international Peter Ijeh, were foreign-born handed first call-ups.
There were midfield, attack and defense places free in the squad because of injuries to Halimatu Ayinde, Patricia George, while SL Benfica's Christy Ucheibe and Barcelona's Asisat Oshoala were left out due to club commitments.
The Nigerian based delegation on Thursday head out for Vienna, the capital for an 8-day training camp as part of intense preparations for some upcoming challenges, most notably the Aisha Buhari Cup in September.
The Super Falcons will square up against Ghana's Black Queens, Cameroon's Indomitable Lionesses, Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Morocco and Mali in the six-nation tournament in Lagos.

Ajibade only play that final because oparanozie was injured Schemerkhiz: How is Ordega not a Striker? U17 she played as no.9 U20 she paired most times with Desire Oparanozie upfront in a 4-4-2 formation.. For the Superfalcons that's when she plays majorly from the wing due to the fact that she plays close to the touchline and draw out opponent fullbacks, deliver pullouts, but She herself, Oparanozie, Oshoala most times interchange positions during game's ( one of their tactics especially during Coach Florence Omagbemi tenure..) At Pitea IF is Sweden she played as their top striker.. At Washington Spirit in US, she played the 3 positions upfront alongside Crystal Dunn and Argentina Banini.. During her loan stints with Atletico de Madrid Femenino she played top9.
Please, permit me to use a male player as an Example, Do you call Ronaldo a Winger or a Striker?? Uchenna Kanu has never been a Winger, she plays similarly like Ronaldo, but her favorite position is the Left wing forward.. At Linkopings LFC she played top9 on few occasions last season especially when Ebere Orji was on the bench and Sweden Striker Lina Hurtig was out injured..
Rasheedat Ajibade isn't a Winger Sir, though she plays well there, we should be happy this ladies are versatile. For your information Rasheedat Ajibade Plays Striker, Right Forward for Atletico de Madrid Femenino, Try and get their game's, watch them before commenting..
Okay please tell me which Position Rasheedat Ajibade Played against South Africa during the 2018 AWCON Final??
Anam IMO a striker but can play from the wing too, At Rosengard FC she never played as a Winger, currently at Pitea IF she plays Central Forward 3goals in 10 games
Player's like Ex international Stella Mbachu, Ogbonna Chukwudi, Esther Sunday, Aminat Yakubu, Patricia George are the ones you're to refer to as Wingers...

You know just because these girls can play upfront and in 442 system doesn't mean they are traditional no9 players like IMO , uchenna ordega and ajibade are players that cut in from the wings they are not strikers , with our style of play against big teams we need strikers that can hold up play and bully defenders off the Schemerkhiz: How is Ordega not a Striker? U17 she played as no.9 U20 she paired most times with Desire Oparanozie upfront in a 4-4-2 formation.. oshoala not a natural striker that is why she misses so many goals her finishing abilities is like 40% , she once missed five 1on1 against Zambia the coach should play her in wings
ordega : not a striker she's a winger
uchenna kanu : a winger
rasheedat ajibade : when last did she start as a striker for club and country ? She's naturally a winger
onomonwu : yes a striker but she's yet to prove herself in the green shirt , need more time
okoronkwo : too fragile to strike , i think she will do well as a AM
Ariyo: one of the few natural striker we have
Anam imo : a winger
ihezuo : average
Ebere orji Good striker and a finisher , why is she not getting call ups?
umotong : Good striker |
