Let's be serious okobi kinda lost the ball as she was clueless with it Onumonu took and spot ajibade run at the far post
BascoVanVeli:
It wasn’t single handedly but she did all the hard work. Took the ball half a field length, held on under pressure and made the pass to Ifeoma.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 6:00pm On Jun 17, 2023
Didn't Ajibade scored the goal that seal our world cup ticket ? With an assist from onumonu
lovewins:
Did you watch the interview?

If you did, do you at least share my sentiments?

I watched for the most part and I believe I was justified in my submission.

She initially kept it clean, just stuck to how she felt about being left out. How that upon the conclusion of the season, she left Spain for Sweden (instead of Nigeria) to prepare for the World Cup almost convinced of her inclusion. Much of the insult to Waldrum came from viewers and not her.

Sadly the temperature of the conversation shifted after a while. Thing is, when someone is still grieving as she is, they are at thier most vulnerable state and will more often than not say things they aren't supposed to say.

She went ahead to say that though she doesn't think it's her right to be her the world cup, she "single-handedly scores the goal that qualified Nigeria to the world cup and those who didn't work or contribute to it have taken her place (I paraphrased this last part cause I can't remember verbatim). This are things that shouldn't be said of your colleagues no matter how justified you think you are. It fractures the team cause what she said in essence is she's more deserving than others (even if she didn't mean that). It's why she shouldn't have gone in that Live.

Oshoala even tried to take her off it. She accused Doherty in the comments of putting her on the spot. She even had to hop on the LIVE to share why Okobi bearing her mind isn't the best for her. Opinions changed after that and many people started clamouring for the live to end as they could see reasons (some disagreed sha).
Politics › Re: They Claim To Be Tolerant But They Disowned Obasanjo by isan(m): 3:27pm On Jun 17, 2023
Lól they even hate Awolowo despite the fact their fore fathers benefited from awolowo free education
Jagungidi:
Obasanjo who killed their ancestors, they love. Tinubu who gave them jobs, brought them into his cabinet and gave them free education, they hate.

Like I always say, this people only understand one thing, that’s why Buhari only dealt with them in the language that they understand.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 3:19pm On Jun 17, 2023
Doherty is always doing too much with blind criticism all the time
lovewins:
Can you guys see why I have reservations about this Okobi

She'll be going on Live with David Doherty in 10 minutes, most likely to discuss her exclusion from the team. I just do not think this is professional.

She emotional right now (and rightly so) and is likely to make damning statements cause if her disposition. She's setting up herself to fail, a space could open up (God forbid through injury) and she won't be asked to take the spot cause of her unprofessionalism.

Which brilliant afcon ? Did okobi had a brilliant season as a Attacking midfielder or as a wing back ? Sentiment will finish nigerians

Travel › Re: What Is Really Wrong With Us Ooo?- Nigerian Man Asks Aba Residents by isan(m): 12:06pm On Jun 14, 2023
Most Nigerians are stupid and dirty , is it government fault when people throw out dirt from a moving car ?
Depriest2020:
Don't blame the residents, blame the government. The government don't provide waste disposal point where you can trash 🗑️ your bin. No waste disposal motor comes to carry the waste for disposal.

I visited Enugu during the government of Sullivan Chime, I saw how clean everywhere was, thier were disposal point, a law was placed that is you dispose your waste indiscriminately you would be arrested, you pay a fine of 50k or go to jail for 2-3months. Everyone kept to that rule, because there was a disposal point and also you would be fined if you don't adhere to the law. Even in your gutter if there's dirt, the building in it's front would be fined.

It made the residents to be on the lookout for those who will dispose indiscriminately into Thier gutter, they ask the person to pack it or report him/her to the task force officials. The family I visited, even though the disposal point was a bit far from thier home, they kept to the rule by taking thier dirt to the disposal point.

Jesse lingard has played at the highest level he's experienced england international, played for one of the biggest team in the world for many years ... It's different Nigeria need oluehi more than we need yewande
lovewins:
Being a part of a team is beyond what happens in the pitch. What goes on off the pitch is off same importance. Though Nnadozie is no 1 goal keeper and nothing will change that, Yewande is dialed in to the team's vision and chemistry. She's been more present with the team than Oluehi the last one year. Disrupting that to make room for an NPFL goalkeeper will go more harm than good.

Jesse Lingard was a part of Nottingham Forest's team, but rarely played. He however played a key role in their surviving relegation in the dressing room. Anyone you ask will tell you he was the life of the dressing room. These simple things matter. This is asides the fact that Yewande has obviously earned it more than whoever they want to introduce.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 8:15pm On Jun 13, 2023
NFF should not tamper with waldrum list but if they omit yewande no one will notice
lovewins:
Always good reading from you.

This 2 names must not be tampered with. It will be borderline lunacy if they don't go to the world cup.

Nigeria sha. Things just won't change.

Quick question.

Do you see Randy having his way for the most part?
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 6:47pm On Jun 11, 2023
Zambia already map out there route to the world cup and the girls are in camp and even played a sent off friendly, if Amaju was still in the girls will get better preparation
Deltamani:
Substitute Comfort Selemani's fine finish in the 69th minute lifts 🇿🇲 Zambia to a 1-0 win over Tanzania 🇹🇿. A decent home crowd at the Woodlands stadium for the World Cup send-off friendly. Great outing for the Twiga Stars.

Up Next For Zambia (buildup friendlies)
22 June vs Ireland
30 June vs Switzerland
07 July vs Germany

Don't forget waldrum left out echegini from the list against haiti and New Zealand only to call in die minutes
AkinDS:
When Onyi joined the team, the midfield really began to tick.
She successfully displaced Okobi without any controversy and has really elevated that department in the squad. Baring Injury, she should be on the list to go for the WWC.

There is absolutely NO home based better that any of the girls we have right now! None!!!

Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 11:04am On Jun 10, 2023
It's not about who has been in the team long it'll just be an excuse for the NFF to include their own favorite
lovewins:
Which home based player has been on the team as long as Onyi. If they want to use politics to displace her, it will likely be an old player in her position not home based.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 9:22am On Jun 10, 2023
Lol thats not how national football works
Deltamani:
Desiree Ellis 🗣️ Let the players who won Wafcon and qualified for FIFA Women's World Cup go to the World Cup ,it will be unfair to call players who didn't contribute anything in the qualifiers . New players can be introduced after the World Cup.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 9:21am On Jun 10, 2023
I fear player like Echegini might not make the list , since she hasn't been in the team for long NFF can easily replace her with an home base players
