Just imagine there's team like Ghana and Cameroon also
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 10:09am On Aug 02, 2023
Every game has a different approach, china against Denmark were cautious because it's their first game that's why they lost 1-0 but against england they needed a win and set out to attack england which give england a lot of space at the back to punish them , they are also horrible at defending set pieces
Deltamani:
England that struggle to beat the physical Haiti team,if not for the penalty kick that Haiti defender commit. England will have drawn the match.Any team will be worried about each other.

USA will never allow us sell fuel in naira
skj1377:
Energy component is fueling inflation. The crude is for Nigeria the cost of extraction is only $8 per barrel so what subsidy are they talking about.

Domesticate oil refining simple. Sell to other African countries in Naira and if possible sell to other countries of the world in Naira. That's what Russia is doing and their currency is the best performing. This is despite international sanctions . Ordinarily their economy should have obliterated by now if they did not do the above I suggest just not.

Conspiracy!! Conspiracy!! that is the only thing in your brain undecided if this , if that
codemaniacs:
you're correct...

the only thing giving me hope is the players seem to be playing well and Waldrum seems to have the passion to want to do well in the world cup.... Maybe he is using the Super Falcons as advertisement and stepping stone..
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 3:27pm On Aug 01, 2023
And who tell you Denmark is any worst than england ?
Curtisaxel10:
Well, England's backline looked slightly suspect when they moved high up the pitch and were faced with counterattacks. That could well prove to be their Achilles' heel when they meet us.

But we need x3 of our defensive discipline that day. Any small mistake, otilo o!

Lol you have time grin
Deltamani:
You must take it to heart that Ucheibe will continue to play in that Midfield as she’s very fit, have the energy of two players, Fast and her Defensive attributes in the Midfield is 💯. Her major setback is her Passes especially when she wins the Ball back from her opponents..

She just need to improve on her passes and decision making.

Few bad calls here and there doesn't mean FIFA is biased the referees are only human
BronzeTiger:
You've forgotten the 12th man on the pitch FIFA? That's the reason why some of us wanted the falcons to top the group.

I watch that match , a Colombia players was badly injured in die minutes so bad the medic had to stretch her off the referee didn't add any extra minutes, I don't know why you are all moaning about referees
Deltamani:
Officiating in this World Cup have been so poor….
Imagine against the Colombians they awarded 6minutes extra time which wasn’t bad, but had to play till over 14minutes as extra time..

I wonder if anyone died on the Field.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 6:10am On Jul 30, 2023
Nigeria is not known for possessive football at any level male or female
PDPGuy:
You raised good points.

The team has to find a way to prevent 65-70% of the match being in their own half! I don’t know whether the solution to the poor possession stat is by flooding the midfield with four or five players.

How the Falcons rated against Australia

CHIAMAKA NNADOZIE 8/10

Brilliant as ever. The goalkeeper kept the Super Falcons in the mix early in the game.

MICHELLE ALOZIE 8/10

A near flawless performance from the right back. Kept things easy throughout the game.

OSINACHI OHALE 9/10

The 31-year-old scored her side’s second goal. A superb showing at the back.

TOSIN DEMEHIN 7/10

The young defender proved a worthy partner for Osinachi Ohale for the second consecutive game.

ASHLEY PLUMPTRE 8/10

Another elegant performance from the versatile defender. She was replaced by Gloria Ogbonna 13 minutes from time.

HALIMAT AYINDE 7/10

Picked up an injury in the second half. A good shift from the defensive midfielder.

CHRISTY UCHEIBE 7/10

The Benfica midfielder put up a solid display in the game.

TONI PAYNE 8/10

Showed her versatility once again. She is no doubt a blessing to the team.

RASHEEDAT AJIBADE 8/10

The winger played a big role in the Super Falcons victory. Provided the assist for the first goal and also had a hand in the second.

UCHENNA KANU 7/10

The forward scored the first goal for the Super Falcons. She was replaced by Asisat Oshoala early in the second half.

IFEOMA ONUMONU 6/10

She was isolated upfront and didn’t affect the game much.

SUBSTITUTES

ESTHER OKORONKWO 5/10

Took the place of Ifeoma Onumonu in the 63rd minute but didn’t do much in the game.

ASISAT OSHOALA 8/10

“Agba Baller” made a tremendous impact coming off the bench. The Barcelona Femeni star scored the decisive third goal.

JENNIFER ECHEGINI 5/10

She replaced the injured Halimat Ayinde and contributed positively to the win.

GLORY OGBONNA 5/10

Helped ward off the threat of the Australians after replacing Ashleigh Plumptre.

Speak for yourself, most of the criticism were ridiculous
lovewins:
Exactly. Th criticism on Rash prior to today's game were valid. It doesn't mean we won't applaud her when she put up a fantastic display, especially when it comes from a player we all know (irrespective of performance) has great potentials.

She was fantastic today. 2 assist no be beans.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 4:38pm On Jul 27, 2023
Oh that's very good another option in the middle against ireland
AkinDS:
The rules state it’s a one game suspension unless the disciplinary committee decides to tack on extra punishment.
Right now, she should be eligible for the Ireland game

And sam ker could only watch from the bench grin
Schemerkhiz:
Did you guys notice when Game was 1-1, the Brisbane crowd were roaring & cheering the Maltidas, enters Asisat Oshoala! The whole stadium went quiet. Oshoala forced a corner...Nigeria scores; she then nets one herself. The Australian fans really knew what was coming.

The streets know game...Agba Baller🙌

Why didn't VAR call the referee for a possible red card ? Is it because we scored there ?
Deltamani:
CONGRATULATIONS 👏🎇👍

WOMAN OF THE MATCH.

OHALE OSINACHI

SHE GAVE INN HER ALL. WE ARE PROUD OF YOU LEGEND🇳🇬♥️🦅

Later someone here will say she always balloon the ball forward

One of the most defensively disciplined african teams at the world cup , men or women
lovewins:
You guys don't realise the impact Randy has had on this team. This is the most defensively disciplined Super Falcons in history. Do you know what it means to concede 14 corners (this is minus free kicks o) and we didn't concede a goal? We conceded on the 15th or 16th corner and no thanks to the ref.

I'm amazed
