Taking ball out of defense is not about age but the calmness of a defender and their ability to compose their selves under pressure
Idiko1:
Onome Ebi of today is very old. She can barely walk therefore a burden on her to effortlessly bring the ball up the field. Only a bad coach would encourage Balogun to bring the ball out of the defensive circle.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 9:54am On Aug 09, 2022
cheesy cheesy i was taken back when he mentioned balogun , Balogun that is the only ball playing center back we have now another one is Olisa Ndah
mostob:
Balogun still does it effortlessly. Sorry bro, but are you trying to take a jibe or you don't even watch football? Everything you have been posting is just ....

Idiko1:

Our Play Maker…. With Rasheedat Ajibade living up to the billing is something to be happy about … Few years back, I used to refer to her as an overhyped player especially from the period of 2018 to early 2020…

They are setting Obi up for failure , One man can not change Nigeria its going to be a collective efforts for the next 20 years to really see any changes
Esama:
Some Nigerian youths are so stupid in the process of defending their oppressor they will still fighting each other just because of tribalism and other things.

I can tell you none of this presidential aspirant would make any change if Nigeria not restructure and 1999 constitution is abolished. Some of you will really disappointed after 2023 election just the way Buhari let you all down.

Calm down baba your don blood dey hot ontop small vawulence, braithwaite didn't say he's not playing for barca again its barca that said hey we don't need you again pack your stuff and look for another club , braithwaite doesn't need to leave whether he's got an offer or not unless barca pay him off his 2 years contract
andrewbaba44:
Barca is not forcing braiwaite and umtiti to leave ,umtiti is not in xavi plans and has been collecting salary for 2 years while doing nothing ,i guess Barca should keep him to please one isan guy from ijebu ode ,man is always injured and has rejected all offers he received looking for a champions league team

There was an offer for braiwaite but man said Barca should pay him all his salary for his remaining years of the contract and terminate his contract ,he wants to leave Barca with all his remaining years salary and he doesn’t want Barca to collect a transfer fee ,e make sense Abi ?

So if your club take money buy player and una wan sell the player and the player refuse saying they should terminate his contact ,you go like am Abi ? Barca doesn’t deserve to get a transfer fee but the player deserve to get his salary for the remaining years

You are either a Chelsea or a pained Man U fan ,most of you are just deluded like the English media ,and it’s not Barca fault FDJ is rejected Man U

andrewbaba44:
Many of you refuse to read just because of hate

Barca problem na salary cap okay and it will be solved ,it’s not that deep ,no be me tell players to reject una .it’s painful seeing us get top players after you all said we can’t sign players

Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 10:17am On Aug 06, 2022
A draw doesn't really do much for us , we need to fix a friendly with teams from 35 to 15 on Fifa ranking if we beat them we can climb the table and get a fair draw at the world cup
AkinDS:
No you don't.
If you played a draw, for instance, you amass some points which may help overtake whoever is in front of you (assuming they amass less cumulative points).
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 5:55pm On Aug 05, 2022
We have to win against USA or Japan to go up in the FIFA ranking
AkinDS:
How?
Nigeria is STILL 'numero uno' in Africa and 46th in the world, in spite of our 4th place finish.
The losses were within the margins of a fluke victory (1-0, 2-1) and so the negative impact on FIFA rankings is low.
Anyone who has been following the world rankings, especially those for the women, would know the rankings typically have a tolerance band of +/- 5 points at any point in time. So, I wouldn't loose any sleep on this.
By the time the Japan and US friendlies roll around, I anticipate positive changes for the Super Falcons.

It's a bad move quality wise the Turkish league is not competitive enough
Deltamani:
I don’t think this is a bad move at all, Fenebahce WFC is the biggest Club in Turkey right now…

Since their FA insisted on all Clubs in the top Division to create a women side last season, a lot of improvement have been made.. Considering Payments and Competitiveness.

Well it's not 8-0 anymore 1-0 2-0 that's it nowadays grin i think the 8-0s is what dennerby and waldrum see that make them take a defending approach against the big teams and they ave kept the score down ever since
daveP:
The 8-0s abi grin

We go det alright. Just that we have so much talent in the mix right now that all it will take may be a manager of her mould, with a touch of mou and wenger. grin

For now, it's just day dreaming.

Look like Oparanozie want the African best for herself
naptu2:
This has been going on for years.

Desire Oparanozie posted something similar after Oshoala won the award in 2017 (the award was presented in January 2018) and Oshoala replied. They were both subbing themselves for days. Oshoala posted that there are people that pretend to be her friend, but go behind her back to attack her, while Desire claimed that Oshoala failed in Europe and that's why she ran to China. It was quite nasty, but it went under the radar because they didn't mention their names.

It seemed as if they reached a truce, but it flared again after the 2019 UEFA Women's Champions League final. Oshoala tweeted to thank God for the goal she scored in the final and Desire posted about people who are selfish and celebrate scoring a goal despite the fact that their team lost.

It's been going on for a while, but Oshoala has stopped responding to it.

Face reality and stop being emotional, we don't have the program to compete with elite team in the world right now only talent is not enough, in the last 2 years we have been on the right track by playing high grade friendlies but we still have a long way to go after the world cup waldrum needs to be sack as i believe waldrum has reached his limit with the team NFF need to hire another coach with good credentials not Omagbemi or dedevbo that hasn't Coach any team in the last 6 years
lovewins:
What kind of misspeak is this?

We can't?

Based on what exactly?

We are not as talented?

Given the same conditions all things being equal, we can't?

At least now we understand the foundation where most of your arguments come from
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 8:49pm On Jul 31, 2022
Even if we hire pep we can't be on the same level with Germany, brazil and england we've never been in their level u can't blame waldrum for this
Schemerkhiz:
When I see what Sarina Wiegman has done with a talented England team, I get so angry because of what Randy Waldrum did to Falcons and destroyed their vision for a tenth title.

Not even the mighty Germany and Brazil have 9 continental titles. Brazil celebrated their 8th title on Saturday and Germany failed to make it 9.

Falcons remain one of the best teams in the world and one of the most decorated in the world. Unfortunately, NFF continue to waste the team's potential with shocking recruitment of coaches

Learn from the best, go for the best and watch Falcons fly

Things waldrum should continue to work on is our abilities to defend corners and dangerous free kicks also loss of concentration in dying minutes and Time management ....No African teams men or women has found answer to this things and it has been Africa biggest problem on world stage

Ordinary bbc best player dwarf all the award you listed ,
Danielnino00:
Osimhen has been serie A young player of the year award winner, Marc Vivien Foe player of the year awardee, player of the month awardee in serie A and Ligue 1, most expensive Nigerian player ever... Going by your logic, he is definitely the biggest voice on the super eagles

Osihmen got 5 African best ? Presidential honour ? BBC best ? Former eagles captain? Highest goalscorer in any league? BBC player of the year ? Champions league winner ? If osihmen got half of these he will have the biggest voice in Eagles

Once the court sack pinnick from office FIFA will ban Nigeria
lovewins:
FIFA won't throw Nigeria out over a court case. They will only do that if the government through her ministry interfere. A court is where litigations are handled and anyone is free to go to court. The NFF is currently in court and said court barred the Congress from holding (we are supposed to have a Congress latest September). FIFA won't ban you for that, courts base interpretation on what the NFF constitution says.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 2:38pm On Jul 29, 2022
That's what playing for big teams give you and also add her CAF awards
Danielnino00:
Oshoala is no longer the team captain..So how exactly is her voice louder than the rest of her teammates combined?
So if Oshoala says something now and the rest of the team oppose it,only her opinion will stand?
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 1:46pm On Jul 29, 2022
It is not like APC government can remove pinnick can they ? The bigwigs has to tell Giwa to let go or else FIFA will throw out Nigeria if the court case continue
lovewins:
How has APC and PDP for anything to do with this. Hasn't Amaju served most of his term under an APC government? And like I opined earlier, those who are familiar with the history of the NFA/NFF will tell you the last 8 years has been the most peaceful time in the glass House in a long time.

He hasn't had to deal with numerous court battles like his predecessors have. His opponent Giwa I remember was implored to let go of his court case and allow peace reign. Biko look for another excuse, the APC PDP narrative won't fly at all
