Oasis007: ^^^^^^^^^

Not surprised! It's not necessary engaging some Folks in a Discourse on this Thread, coz they think SE Team means something else! Do. you know I am amazed Oasis007. I am truly amazed Bro, I've been here for about six months or thereabouts and I didn't spot you all this time. Politics Section Yoruba Warrior. Nice cover. Upvote. I started frequenting this thread around that preworldcup period Safari, Chriskels and Supernerd used to be at loggerheads with certain monikers here day and night. I didn't understand then. Now I do. Another tournament has come and now you and Forgiveness are taking your warrior seats.. Interesting. So in essence, your argument for Aina's inclusion is simply your disgusting tribalism. Continue arguing rubbish, you've been made. Kog45 I see your argument is also towing the same path. I was a tad surprised, so. you're also an Odua warrior? I actually respected you around here. Interesting. Well, you're free to express your silly tribalistic views here. Personally, I don't think it's sensible to bring tribal sentiments into NATIONAL TEAM discourse so I don't do that. It's called a National Team for a reason. I'm just watching you from the other side of THE DIVIDE. I trust Rohr to pick the best or at least something close. |

Season 2017/18 Stats of both Players is also attached. Sentiment Aside, Ola Aina is better than both Shehu and Ebuehi.
We should rather hope he replicate the Club Forms in GWG.

Olulong: I actually think this Mali team is better than Senegal. The Senegal we played yesterday looked very ordinary in my opinion. We just weren't clinical enough but then I don't blame the team but the coach who kept that Log of Wood upfront till the end of the game Now let me say this. You see that Nigeria team, it was not a bad team but many will not agree and others don't know. The assemblage is not the worst in this tournament. What went wrong with that team? Poor tutoring and tactics overall. Give that same team to a good coach they'll beat Senegal. In conclusion, it's not about Senegal being ordinary it's about Nigeria not being too far behind. |

zoboizee: Please guys, can anyone pair two teams for the Super Eagles in a 11 vs 11, with all the players in their normal position. Because its one of the u20's coach shortcoming. Using players in wrong position. For example, the rightback is a DM in his club. And he had no solid rightback substitute for him in the team. I did not know any of the players prior to this tournament but just by watching their play and attributes I suggested some of them be played in different positions from where they were started. You've just confirmed I was right after all. |

EEGA: Super Eagles
Training Report :
Iheanacho
Surprise
Inclusion In Top
Five Performers
The Super Eagles of Nigeria
have been training in Asaba
ahead of their participation at
the next Africa Cup of Nations in
Egypt and Owngoalnigeria.com
picks five players who have so
far impressed in the three
sessions the team have had so
far.
1. Victor Osimhen – He has
carried his form from Belgium to
the camp of the Super Eagles of
Nigeria. In the three training
sessions the team have had so
far, the forward has maintained
his sharpness level which is the
highest among the strikers in
the camp of the team.
2. Moses Simon – No doubt he
is fired up for this one. The way
he was gliding past his markers
with ease was the main
highlight of his game during the
session. He took it a step
forward with his pin point
delivery when in space and even
in tight spaces.
3. Samuel Chukwueze – No way
is he not going to make the
squad for AFCON 2019. He was
not just sharp and lively but
also very decisive with the ball
at his feet. Another side of his
game he appears to have
worked on is defending as he
won so many balls for his team.
4. Leon Balogun – Despite his
limited game time at Brighton
and Hove Albion he looked very
fit and sharp. During the
session he got his interceptions
and tackles right and didn’t tire
out as expected. The personal
training he had has kept him in
shape for this.
5. Kelechi Iheanacho – Many
criticised his inclusion in the
squad of players for the
tournament, no thanks to his
poor form and lack of game time
at English Premier League side
Leicester City. That appears to
have zero effect on his
performance as he was very
clinical during the shooting
drills and the 5-aside game they
played. He scored with almost
all of his efforts. This kind of report will get people's hopes very very high. |

Curtisaxel7: Let's just say I by a stroke of luck i got to meet a couple of people who are close to him and a few other players personally, from Akwa Ibom....
I don't want to go into specifics for fear of betraying my sources, but just know that Aniekeme Okon is in his early thirties, or late twenties at most. Interesting. |

sontoly: In my opinion I think all three can still fit quite well, that's if Kalu is drafted to the midfield or RWB position since he is a good dribbler and also holds the ball better than other two. But I doubt if he will consider it. But Kalu is not a midfielder and to be frank, I don't think he should be used in the midfield. cc Forgiveness |

Danielnino00: Actually its the other way around... Kalu is one of Rohr's favorite already. As long as he is fit,he owns that RW ... Onyekuru will fight with Musa for the LW....
If Rohr now decides to go with a 3-5-2,he will most likely pick Kalu to play RWB ahead of Aina... I was talking talent wise. Not who starts and who doesn't. |

forgiveness: Samuel rival Onyekuru and Chukwueze?
They are all different players entirely.
Don't expect anything from Onyekuru expect goals though he has improved alot. They all play wide. They all bring flair. Not too different imo. And yes I think Samuel Kalu has the potential to rival players like Onyekuru and Chukwueze. |

Danielnino00: Good to have him back... Injury marred the 2nd half of the season for this young man and made folks stop looking his way. Still a player that has the potential to rival Onyekuru and Chukwueze, by my evaluation. And I'm expecting a lot from him at AFCON. Good to see he's back. |

KpagoGIN: After watching yesterday's match and the follow up on how this team came to be, I only hope Many Garba is also watching and following cause the same drama affecting this team selection was what we were made to believe during the u17 team selection for the Africa qualifiers. Interesting. You're quite right. The U-17 didn't play too well in the African championship and there was also issues surrounding selection. We'll be here to see how that one goes. |

Curtisaxel7: For those having high hopes about Okon's career prospects, make una just commot eye from that side. Dude is already over 30 or at least 28 years old. He is already at the end of his prime and will start declining form wise in a matter of 2-4 years.
He may have turned out a fantastic player if he was discovered in his youth and marketed to Europe where his talents would've been honed by tactically savvy coaches. No doubt he is a natural playmaker. Immensely talented. But like many other home trained boys, he simply lacks basic tactical training. Positioning and passing technique. If only he were truly 20, he would no doubt master those in a season or two abroad and grow into an absolute beast of a playmaker. Sadly, i don't see that happening. Okon is a lost cause. You can't teach an old dog new tricks....
He will disappear in a short while, but believe me when I say Aniekeme Okon is the Messi Nigeria never had. Are you 100% certain Okon is 28 or older? |
