Even with the trillions he spent, he lost with a wide margin, now tell me, do ya'all think he doesnt know that if he doesnt accept defeat he wont even live to tell the tale? The fact that Dis guy lost and accepted defeat doesnt make him a hero, it simply makes him a good looser. QED

SportsRegional ‘wars’ In Glo Premier League by Ismahill(op): 1:53pm On May 10, 2015
Enugu Rangers and Heartland FC clash
at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu
while Shooting Stars visit Sunshine
Stars in an uncommon weekend of
regional ‘wars’ in the Glo Premier
League on Sunday.
The Week 8 fixtures will also see a
South-South inferno when Bayelsa
United host Dolphins FC in Yenagoa.
Heartland FC defeated Kwara United
3-1 in Ilorin but have lost consecutive
home games against kinsmen Abia
Warriors and Sunshine Stars. They
have to redeem themselves, and this
makes Sunday’s clash in Enugu one
oriental war to treasure.
Gabros International, with a 100 per
cent home record, are away to FC
Taraba in Jalingo, while Enyimba FC, who
surprisingly lost 0-2 to Gabros FC last
weekend, are at home to high-flying
Giwa FC from Jos.
Lobi Stars and El-Kanemi Warriors will
make the grass of Aper Aku Stadium,
Makurdi suffer, and Kano Pillars fans
will holler ‘Sai Masu Gida’ endlessly as
Sharks FC of Port Harcourt visit the
Sani Abacha Stadium.
Abia Warriors, with sweet memories of
their one million naira handout from
chairman, High Chief Emeka Inyama for
the victory over Heartland FC in Owerri,
play host to Kwara United, 1-0 winners
over title holders Pillars in Ilorin last
weekend.
Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, high on
confidence after a 4-2 lashing of
Enugu Rangers last weekend, are away
to Akwa United in Uyo.
Warri Wolves, Nigeria’s only remaining
team in the continent, take on
Nasarawa United at Warri City Stadium
– quality shooting practice ahead of
their CAF Confederation Cup play-off
first leg against AC Leopards in Dolisie
next weekend.
WEEK 8 GLO LEAGUE FIXTURES
FC Taraba Vs Gabros International

SportsRe: Nff Clarifies On England/nigeria Friendly by Ismahill(op): 7:27pm On May 09, 2015
khattab02:
Will the FA be willing to accept such a friendly?? May be just, not after our swindling performances after the world cup...
ii tink I agree with u....it willl be hard 4 nigeria 2 gt quality friendly dis days due 2 our fall n ranks.
SportsNff Clarifies On England/nigeria Friendly by Ismahill(op): 7:03am On May 09, 2015
General Secretary of Nigeria
Football Federation, Dr. Mohammed
Sanusi, on Thursday made
clarification on the already widely –
publicized international friendly
between the Super Eagles and the
Three Lions of England, stating
clearly that no agreement has been
reached on a date for the proposed
game.
“The aspect of a proposed friendly
between Nigeria and England as
discussed by the NFF President (Mr.
Amaju Pinnick) and Chairman of The
FA, Mr. Greg Dyke, at their meeting
in London on Tuesday has been
somewhat overblown in the social
media.
“It is understandable that any news
of a proposed friendly between
Nigeria and England would generate
global interest, as it has done. Both
teams last played any match at
senior level about 13 years ago.
“However, we must say at this stage
that the proposal is still at the level
of discussions and nothing concrete
has been agreed as to when the
match will hold. We are awaiting
feedback from the FA and will
report on the outcome accordingly.”

SportsDrogba Wins African Player Of The Month Award For April by Ismahill(op): 6:51am On May 09, 2015
Chelsea’s Ivorian legend Didier
Drogba has been named the winner
of the English Premier League
African Player of the Month of April.
In a statement released by Tunde
Adelakun, CEO of the organisers
New African Soccer, Drogba, 37,
beat off competition from Crystal
Palace’s DR Congo winger Yannick
Bolassie and Senegalese Dame
N’doye of Hull City.
“The support for Drogba was
overwhelming”, said Adelakun, who
revealed that the Chelsea star was
the biggest surprise of the awards
programme being run by his
organisation thus far.
“Everyone welcomed Didier Drogba
back to the Premier League, and to
Chelsea, but we all knew he was a 36
year old and never expected much of
him”, he said.
“But to have taken up the role of
main striker in a big team like
Chelsea, at the age of 37, and
completing three consecutive 90-
minute games, scoring a crucial goal
in the process, it is no surprise that
his name came up in the shortlist”.
Drogba played all through the game
that clinched the Premier League
title for Chelsea - against Crystal
Palace at Stamford Bridge at the
weekend, and he led the
celebrations in the dressing room.
“I think he has rewritten the rule
book for 37 year old strikers and
well worth the award”, Adelakun
concluded.
Drogba is the ninth awardee of the
NAS Premier League Player of the
Month programme that started this
season and has had winners like
Mame Biram Diouf, Victor Wanyama,
John Obi Mikel, Sadio Mane among
others, in the course of the season.
His award will be presented to him in
the coming days, according to the
organisers.
